But you are & will be treated with respect because you are a FOREIGNER !! We as a Chinese has a saying since ancient times: "Cross the door, is also a guest" Which simply means anyone, be it a good, bad or ugly, "MUST/SHOULD be treat as a guest with respect" unless OTHERWISE !! ps: so do NOT abuse the respectability given to you !!! Plenty of money in the US. The problem is, it always "trickles" up to Wall Street and Washington and the big Corporations. Political impotence and corruption are why there is no money left for the people on the bottom. The decline has started a long time ago and will continue until the "Big Collapse"...When ? Who knows...

Pensioners are raped, robbed, murdered in own homes, there's no respect for elderly. Catalytic converters are stolen from cars with few seconds from own driveway, now they're stealing petrol!!!. ALL windows, patio doors are locked always unless for airing. Not safe walking in dark ANYWHERE especially parks. I remember in 1978, a girlfriend and self had late dinner in Soho and those days were very safe, at 1 am, we walked via Regents Park, past the zoo, all the way to Kilburn, northwest London. SO sad.

They don't necessarily have to be logic, nor rational (which most of the time, don't) just as long as majority of the people believe in it. Coming back to England and people seem cold compared to Chinese, so happy, so friendly, so giving. Tell people in the UK and they look at you like you've lost yer mind, the bbc told us what China's like how could you know 😁😁😁😁😅. China is like one big proud family of collective unity. I love it so much. Everyday something amazing happens in China. Got an idea for you ' the social credit system'. You know the one we're told in a hushed voice " if a Chinese citizen farts too loudly he's punished" 🙄😳🤣. How niosy are people in China ffs. Does anyone follow the rules. Keep up the good work. If only through cultural invasion, this is not very realistic, and without a proper understanding of history only through the continuous seizure of other people's culture to create their own pseudo-history will increasingly worsen their relations with their neighbors. The first to master their own military power to have their own voice, robbing others of their culture that piece will not have a way out.

And multi-party countries will compete with each other for the distribution of benefits and resources, for achievements and credit. For example, a large construction that may last a decade is often difficult to implement in the United States

@泠泉声如歌, You don't know how true your statement is. In my neck of the woods here in the USA, it took nearly three years for them to finally open the road leading to my house after it has been shut down due to construction! They blocked off access to the road for nearly 2.5 years before they finally get into fixing the part of the road that has been blocked off for 2.5 years! Then it took them nearly 6 months to finally fix it because they work on it for a few days then take a few weeks off and then work on it a few more days then take a few more weeks off until they finally finished fixing it. This stretch of the road is only about 1.25 mile long! All that time I had to take a different road to go to places that took a lot more time and a lot more distances. If the US would simply focus half of its time, energy, and money on bettering itself instead of trying to bring down other nations then it would be the clear #1 country in everything, but that is not what the rich billionaires and the people that own the Military Industrial Complex want! They want a system that is corrupt so that they could control everything the government does and make the country's wealth and resources theirs and theirs only! And that is the problem that we are having right now in America!

You are right. I went to school in Beijing in 1997 while China still closed door to the outside world; however, I was walking on the street at midnight or one two o'clock in the morning safely. Not in America. People were so friendly. They even offered you a free rides, etc.

Hi Jason, thanks a lot for you to make this video, because this video can let most of western people to think deeper about one important word....."Freedom", the people in the west always think only the country with "election" can be called "Free country", but Chinese people has our own philosophy. "Freedom" should be felt anywhere, not just in politics, I think western people may never know that.

I went to Guangzhou China in the 60s and 70s when people were poor wearing mended clothing and places were old and dark, however, so proud led by the Chinese Government years after years that there is today a basic standard of living for citizens all over the country and keeps improving 💪👍😁

The irony is that US is only few hundred years old, meanwhile China is few thousand years old. So in truely, China is older than US. The old US vs new China argument does not hold. It all depends on maintenance and investment. China invests in infrastructure and its people, make sure people have a better life. Meanwhile, US invests in military and neglects their own citizens. Sadly my country, Canada, is following its footsteps, so are many countries in Europe.

The west rose to world power about 300 years ago is based on military power. It has worked wonderfully, gave them the vast riches that you still see in old Europe. This is why they continue with vast investment in force. Can't kick the habit. There is also the white racism element, which originated from the upper class of Britain way back, then spread to Europe. As they gained high prosperity from the non-white world, they automatically think they are genetically superior. This continue today. But we are seeing a reversal, which is why the west is in such struggle, jealousy, hatred, gone quite insane. Everything they thought superior turn out to be not. There are other superior ways and means. The U.S. does not have a civilization - an immigrant country of only 250 years old. Europe has but it is 50 cultures in 50 states. China is not a country per se. It is a continental civilization of 4,000 years. The west is blind to this raw fact, an indication of how insane they have become. As to Canada, it is not a country and has no civilization at all. It is still a colony to serve the American and European bosses. Hell, it does not even have a head of state of own citizenship, a monarchy leftover. A joke in the world stage. A laughing stock as its 'nobody' PM try to lecture others about high morality. Even a Carribbean island is more independent.

Jason, as a Chinese national living in the US, I have to say some US cities' downtowns may be pretty bad as a client of mine, a 6 ft big white guy told me that he almost shit his pants when walked in Newark, NJ. But there aren't that many such downtowns. If you are middle class and live in a suburb area, then you can enjoy all the benefits brought to you by property tax.
