I think that you made an excellent choice Mark. As to trim, some things to do that will help avoid damage, and embarrassment are as follows: Trim the motor to the trailering position any time you tie to a dock. If you do this, it will get you in to the habit so that you never drag you motor up the launch ramp when pulling out of the water. Next: trim the motor full down any time you come off the step, (when the hull comes off plane, and sinks back in to the water). This will give you Better low speed handling, and you will avoid the embarrassment of attempting to accelerate with the engine trimmed up, which causes the bow to come up very sharply. Something to do just to feel the effectiveness of the trim: Trim full down and then slowly accelerate to wide open throttle. Let the speed stabilize, and then start to slowly tap the trim up. Feel how the weight comes off the bow, and the boat begins to accelerate again. If the bow begins to bounce, don't panic, and pull the throttle back, just start tapping the trim down until the bouncing stops. Later, after you have tried this experiment, and are just operating the boat normally, you can start trimming up as the boat climbs up on the step. You will quickly get the feel of her, and this will become instinctive. I am not a professional boat handler, but I have operated dozens of small boats as a marine mechanic, while performing drivability testing, and on demo rides that I have done with customers. I know that you , and your family are going to have a blast with your new boat. I can't wait for the fun, and fishing videos. Will there be some wakeboarding in the future?
Stabi's are bullet proof and as well made as they come
Love that you're expanding. We (my fiance and I) are starting to raise chickens and rabbits along with the big garden and orchard. Thanks for your inspiration.
Amazing, Very Interesting, the aluminium hull is very light and a great material for boat building, though not the standard. The boat is essentially is a metal RIB, which are known as the safest type of boats on the planet (they often use them for oil rig maintenance and Commando / Navy operations). You can also see that the hull looks like a Deep V which makes it seaworthy in rough seas. One thing you need to be careful in general is catching the chimes on sharp turns which can throw everyone out of the boat. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS ALWAYS WEAR A KILL CORD WHEN THE ENGINES RUNNING (I'm sure they made that point on the course though). Great to see people getting involved, uv got to get the doughnut out next.
That's a terrific boat Mark. I've had my boat for nearly 20 years and still use it every week to go fishing. We occasionally tow the kids around on the float as well and on occasions I throw the swag in and head up river for a night under the starts and to sit around a campfire. Yes boats cost you money but life is so much better with one. Good luck!
My wife watches your channel all the time. But a boat! Now you've got my attention too.
The channel name is amazing! Super excited to see more content on this channel
Can't get enough of Stabi crafts, show us some more mate. Can't understand why anyone would thumbs down this vid, ridiculous!
Stabicraft 2750 is one of my dreams. Thank you for posting with so many details. Excellent choice of getting out of your garden for a change. Love your Graden videos as well
Mark, you can make as many channels as you want- I’ll follow you anywhere :) I so enjoy your calm and positive attitude.
Good choice, that is the dream one day! Have been associated with 3 boats that have sunk for various reasons & I'm all about staying afloat these days..
Congratulations mate you cant go wrong with a Stabi. I own an early 2000's 389 model and love it and have fished of many other's including the very first models. Great boats.
Can't wait to see your fishing trips and all the fish you'll be catching!
Lovely boat Mark, honestly don't know you from a bar of soap except for being a watcher of your videos. But I'm bloody happy for your success and wish you much luck for the future mate.
Hey Mark! I just found this channel after watching your eggplant video. Congrats on the boat! I love it..it looks very stealthy with that angular styling and great paint job. Looking forward to some great fishing videos!
Awesome man, I’ve been really looking at getting me a Stabiboat.
Well done, I'm not a boater or fish much but I enjoy the organic nature of the video's. Thanks Mark.
Can’t wait to follow your fishing trips!
It's a magnificent boat with one of the best motor choices. You did your homework and made the right choices.
glad to see how much youve grown over the years, keep up the good work mate
All boats have their pros and cons, it all depends on what type of fishing you do, where and in what conditions you want to fish in. Its sad that you have to explain your stance so much beforehand due to the nature of youtubers, but I do love the way you do so, your a very humble being! Just so you know You are mine and my wifes absolute go to, for information on gardening. Not only informative but we think your awesome and entertaining too! Looking forward to seeing what this channel presents!
I can’t wait to see you and your boy’s reeling in some good eats! Then followed by a catch, grow, cook and eat some gourmet food! I’m excited for this new content Mark, please stay safe and keep your head above water 😂 much love from Tennessee,USA
17:12 Brings back memories of my grandfather with the "by jingos". Love it! ....and the boat!
Great vid mate. Thanks for the info. Happy boating
Can’t wait to see the next video!
Man I really hope this channel makes a comeback!
Go for it Mark! Horticulture, hunting (only for what you need, no sport hunting), fishing, and foraging is the name of the game. I wish you and the family best of luck and I'm looking forward to all the fishing videos. I was also wondering if you will be adding shell fishing as well or just be sticking with traditional fishing only?
Love the video mate well thought out and the humility and the explanations were on point.
I truly love that boat. I also like the cameo your doggie makes at the end! Keep tabs on that Yamaha. They will let you service it yourself. You just must use their parts. And it can help you avoid some expenses and pitfalls. 🇺🇸
Can’t wait for fishing dad jokes!!!!!!
Dude Mark! You got a nice boat. Hopefully you can get out in it and catching some dinner with it. I'll be getting my first crop of Pecans this year, yay. On my next trip south, let's meet up and take her for a spin.

It’s been over a year since mark even used that boat, think he’s filled it with soil at this point and planted some veggies
This channel will smash it! Well done 😁
It looks like a cracking good boat. Nice choice.
Mate, that's a nice looking boat. Congratulations on purchase, I'm sure you'll have lots of fun. All best from Perth
Amazing boat!. That is my dream that I'm currently working towards. I hope to see you on the water one-day. Happy fishing
Great video mate keep it up. Good choice of boat to ,size as well ,I ended up with an 1850 frontier after having a 2050 super cab and a 759 hard top which where both too big to handle on my own, especially when all my “ mates” who said they wanted to go fishing found work was more important Cheers
Congratulations on the new craft mate you deserve it, make sure you take all safety measures when you're out there, also look into a satellite phone if you havn't already, you can't be too prepared..good luck and LETS GET OUT THERE...👍
Great stuff! High quality content!
Beautiful boat! Glad you are enjoying it!
I remember when you commented on my video you saying you wanted to get a bigger boat but man that thing is a weapon. Enjoy exploring Moreton Bay. Well done mate 👍 Cheers Sleepy
As a diver/spear fisherman here in the USA, (Oregon). I've owned inflatable boats (3x) because of their stability which means safety. I use them out on the Pacific Ocean. There have been times when I've been out on the ocean with other divers and family and friends in the boat and we've gotten caught in heavy winds which created rough seas with massive waves (this has happened many times over the years). A couple of times, my inflatable got filled with water to the point where the gas tank had to be heald above the waterline and the head of the engine was sticking out of the water. This boat just chugged along, slowly. The only problem is the boats are made out of heavy fabric. Although they are very tough and I've only had one hole in the fabric. This happened when a spear point accidentally poked the tube. Even with that hole and a slow loose of air it still held up. Over the years I've looked for the ultimate boat and the Stabicraft rose to the top of the list. I drooled over these boats. I was always fascinated by the lines and the beautiful welds on these boats. True craftsmanship. Good choice! You choose wisely. Have fun and good fishing. Love what you're doing with both of your channels.

@@jonathanle7161 what do you prefer between the fisher and supercab models ? I would love a walk around, but probably limited to a used 2050 max. Considering as small as a 1550 and wondering how much difference you have found between your small stabicrafts. There is a lot of chop by me, mostly shallow water although I would like to go out in 3-4’ seas and have an enclosure for bad weather although shade and ventilation during the hot summer. Any info is appreciated!

@@matthewdickson2627 it’s all about personal preferences., the stabi 1550fisher for me here in norcal i would only use it inside the bay/delta., ima not an extreme guy like guys in au/nz lol if ure wanting a walkaround u should look into the stabi 2250cc/ucc which is the best midsized boat there is out there today n will make the grady white 228 seafarer looks like a joke., if u want to know more about stabi’s if u have facebook u should join into our stabi fan page., also if u want to purchase a stabi just lemme know i’ll be able to help u out since i have a close relationship with the dealer up north in oregon 😉

@@jonathanle7161 1550 fisher in delta and inside bays? Whats the point of this boat then? There's much cheaper options out there! If ppl go out into ocean on kayaks and inflatables, this boat cant handle ocean??
Hey Mate, seen you heading south on the Bruce yesterday with the big rig on the tow. I was star struck and was waving like an 8 year old girl as I drove past. Nice boat, nice guy great KZread channel 👍
Well done, might see you out there 👍
Nice to see you enjoy the fruits (pun) of your labor Mr. Mark.
Gratz on the new boat 🙂👍. This is the brand of boat I would love to own one day aswell.
The boat doesn’t matter to me I know nothing about them as long as they stay afloat I am good.. I just liked to go fishing it’s relaxing I am not an avid fisherman. I just want to learn anything I can from your channels. I love your videos keep them coming
Looking forward to seeing what y'all catch in the outback! Love the other channels, best of luck to ya!
Looks like a great boat to me,so happy for you.Nothing like fish to fertilize your garden too.
Hi Mark, great boat just keep an eye on the anchor well ours corroded out in less than 3 years, even with meticulously cleaning the boat and washing out the anchor well after use.Its a known issue although stabicraft will deny it..Some rubber matting in the anchor well to stop the chain rubbing on the inside of the well seems to be the solution.
She's a beaut boat Mark, you've chosen wisely, I'd love to come out fishing with you one day. Hope you get a lot of joy out of her with your family.
I believe we are resonating in sync. I've seen a ton of your gardening videos. I too try to live sustainably with this earth and leave as small a footprint as possible. I've modified a few tinnies over the years and they get a bit bigger each time. Recently I saw the stabicraft design and on my way down the rabbit hole I saw your familiar face. Very cool, and I wish you continued success with your new channel.
Its hard sometimes for me to understand the fear some people have when starting boating but then I have 60 yrs experience and have never not owned a boat of my own since 1968 and currently have 3. But its just inexperience you have a great boat and a good mindset take it easy at first build the experience and soon a competent person like yourself will be really enjoying the ocean safely. Top boat and awesome for those bar crossings or when caught out in the rough stuff, enjoy it.

Hello how are you doing and how was your weekend 😊
Very nice! I am in the states and was seriously looking at a Stabicraft. They just did not make the model in the length that I wanted. Enjoy that boat!
Awesome commentary bro down to earth and simple and I’m totally with you on the Little tinny Scenario I’m 54 and had mine for one year a12 foot tinny with a 8 hp motor and this is my first boat LOL bit of a late starter yes like you say stay be craft tix all the boxes like the muscle car of the ocean beastie sexy and ready to take on what ever it needs to with a power and confidence…. 💪🏽💯👊🏽 and I don’t even got one yet….
I love you boat. Got everything on it but the kitchen sink! (Just as my bicycle with fully packed trailer. hihi) Sometimes, but fairly always way too crowdy, I take my inflatable and go for a bike ride to one of the lakes and row to an island. Overhere we've got traffic jams in narrow canals when the sun is out. 🔆
Great boat Mark, good size, definitely want to be at least as big as the crocodiles and sharks. Remember to have a spare gas tank, spare battery, shear pins and loud air horn and tow rope some paddles never hurt either also be sure your batteries are both charged and your gas is good. Good luck.
That is a really fine looking boat! And how you reached your decision was really informative and interesting. One thing I wondered is why did you choose the black color? We have - I think - a pretty similar climate to yours (subtropical) here in Florida, and I would have thought that a black boat would be pretty hot, particularly on those sunny, windless days. (Well, any boat will be hot on those days, but I would think black would be a lot hotter.) Was it an availability issue? or just cause it looks so cool? Thanks!
Its the dog in the background at the end that had me 😂
love your honesty mark
Great choice Mark!!! one of the best and safest boats....
Ok Mark, we wanna see some fun on the water and you getting some catch! We have no water above ground so I have to live vicariously through your adventures. Since you named the channel "Self Suffishing Me" - Get on it!
Hahaha swim like i rock... I can relate to that. Can't wait to see you on the water and all the fishing videos.
Lets get out there Mark!
It looks like a fun speedboat that you can fish from. I kind of want one too.
I think you have made the best choice for you and your family as in boat, motor and safety happy fishing.
It's a great looking boat Mark, hope it serves you well. You've obviously put a huge amount of thought into a big investment, so don't let anyone tell you off for not buying local! Your money, your choice, your way!
Mate it's a really nice boat, best of luck with the fishing!
Very excited for you. I wis they had a dealership on east coast of the states. How about a review after using it for a while?
Great review buddy. I am in the market for a compact fishing boat too and you just made up my mind. Good luck with the boat and fishing :)
Great boat! I love it. My first boat was a 20' aluminum MirroCrafy with a 65hp Mercury. Your boat must fly with that 115hp. Looks like a Special Ops boat lol. At nightime nobody will see you out on the water. Love the setup with the grill, or as you guys say, the barbi. Tell me, will you be cooking shrimp on the barbi? Lol if so call me! I wish you all the best with it. You certainly earned it
Mate I’ve just bought a 1550 Fisher as my first boat I’m with you 100% on the safety aspect governing my purchase decision

That's so awesome man! I love your gardening videos, and now I get to look forward to your fishing videos too! Personally not my style of boat, but who's me to say you shouldn't get what you like? If that boat makes you happy, then that's the ONLY opinion that matters bro
Really ready for a fishing video. I, like most Texans, live Australia. When I was in the Army I had an Australian girlfriend for a bit. Anyway, ready to see some great Australian fishing videos. I bet they will be great!!!!
Hey Mark; that's a great boat you've got. I've only done a little welding, but can tell those on the boat are real consistent quality. I looked into going inshore fishing on a boat here in the UK. They don't require it, but recommend taking a course for safety. This covered the marine VHF radio license, procedures and protocols in case of emergencies, preparations before going to sea etc. 156.8Mhz International Marine Emergency Channel (best to know it and never need it, than need it and not know it). Last thing; what are you going to name your boat? Stay safe & tight lines!
We need more videos on this channel Mark!!
good video mate, well done.
Mate, I just came here from the other two channels. Where the next video with the boat? Love your vids.
As much as I like the gardening videos. I would love to see you out on the water Mark. When’s the fishing videos coming???
Well done.. I would've made the same choice.. my dream is to buy a Stabi 2500 XL..I used to drive semi too.. no worries about towing or backing up...have you installed a deck pump?
It's a beautiful boat, Mark. I enjoyed this video. Now, it's fishing time... LOL
Having seen the stabicraft on NZ fishing shows they’re an amazing boat. Have to agree that model looks mean as pig shit. Well done and can’t wait to see the fishing vids
We just did the same thing, upgraded from a tinny to a little bit bigger boat because our teenager son grew over night and now has friends that want to go out fishing with us. We ended up with a Pollycraft boat and feel so much safer. The old tinny was so unstable and wanted to tip over if anyone got a little excited :)

Where are the videos on the fishing adventures? I’m keen to see some more about the boat.
Gorgeous boat. Heck of an upgrade
A buddy of mine just sent me a bunch of pictures of a bright orange one. His friend in Washington State bought one in New Zealand and drove it all the way north to nearly the Canadien border
Mean boat bro, awesome description discussed from a new boatie point of view
Can the superstructure be removed? These boats are available in Canada now but won’t fit under any of my local lake bridges with that up
Well done. Enjoy your boating with your family.
OMG YOU HAVE A FISHING CHANNEL I HAD NO IDEA!!!!!!!
It does have a certain military attack boat look to it(understandable with your background), but all black out in the sun....doesn't she get a little hot on the surfaces ? Layout looks great though...and that back table might save you from getting pulled over when you land the big one.(humor, but maybe true.) How far are you from the coast, and do you have Mahi,Mahi fish down there ? Its the best.
Excellent video.no bs just plain facts nice looking boat also.
Hi there. By any chance would you know the height from the highest point of the rocket launcher to the ground? I am very much considering this exact model but cannot find height measurements anywhere. Same with the rocket launcher/ bimini folded down.
Man Id love to have one of those as a center console. Stabi makes a boat thats able to take heavier seas than others its size. My Gulf of Mexico gets mean fast with our thunderstorms and Ive had the crap scared out of me on 40' boats.
He's a big BBQ Shapes thumbs up for ya Mark. Thanks for the video.
Are you thinking of some camping fishing videos that would be amazing mark
Love the boat mark
If you could explain estuaries and the passage a bit more? And how far are you from a body of water where you can use your boat? Hmm 90,000aud is like 69,777usd so for a nice big boat that's not bad at all! And now I'm curious if you will try your experiment again where you only eat from your own garden and what you can forage and fish? Will you be doing videos on the different fish you can catch there? And will there be new merch for this channel? So very very happy about your new boat and can't wait for more content!!!!!! Very Proud to be a fan and Patron!!!
That's a great boat to make memories with the boys have fun
Never would of thought mark would swear lol 😂
