Glad you enjoyed it and thanks! With all the other KZread PT's out there, I take that as a big compliment.

Bravo, I love the fact you add acupuncture to your practice. Often traditional Western PT don't access this discipline.

Yes, sciatica can cause those symptoms. There are other things that can cause them as well though, so make sure to get it checked out appropriately.

very interesting, Not really helpfull, but, help full of infrormation. i cant see you personally , from what you can share with me, i was in my first car wreck in 1981 involving brain trauma, so i don't know what my body went though, beside a 6 week coma , with that said one of the many issues, my lefy hip, they danosed with bursitis, all i know is still gets very aggravated, nerve/meridian idk, but, the later years i still have issues with , my left side having numbness tingling head to toe , its hard to say aggrvated the most, but what i use most. where can i start, Drs, PTs,chiropracters...... no one has helped, i thought Somatics should help as my last result, it like everything only temorary. Can yo please offer your best thoughts, thank you, Dr Candy.

Sorry to hear what you've been through. If you were in a coma for 6 weeks with brain trauma, you very well could have had a stroke or other injury affecting the right side of the brain (which would affect the left side of the body). 1981 was a long time ago, so there's quite a possibility the numbness can't be fully reversed at this point. Here are a few videos that might give you some ideas though. Arm and leg pain on same side of body: kzread.info/dash/bejne/lKeFlNSnoqvWoLA.html Numbness in leg: kzread.info/dash/bejne/p4Oo0NaQgLHZkbg.html If there are specific times or activities that bother your hip, I could probably point you to some additional resources. While there's likely no "cure" per se, there are probably things that can be done to improve quality of life.
