I love that you do this. It’s so hard to imagine what a watch will look like on a small 6.25in wrist like mine. It really helps to see how it will look.

I think most dive watches look okay on smaller wrists because of examination bezel. They make the face smaller. It's the dress watches that are all face that look goofy, like a saucer on your wrist 😀

You’ve gotta consider thickness also. For example, the skx007 has only a 46mm lug to lug, but a 13.5mm thickness. On a small 6” wrist, 13.5mm is too thick and would look bulky and oversized on such a small wrist. Thickness is equally as important as lug to lug. For this reason, most dive watches do not suit smaller wrists.

@@Ferien7 thickness is personal preference imo. for so long thought any diver over 40mm was too big until I purchased the seiko bottle cap. Completely change my view on larger pieces because the lug-to-lug distance allows the watch to wear well on wrist. But the bambino version 4 I purchased by mistake looked outrageous on wrist. I had to give it away. I own the mako usa and it wears well and thats a thicker watch. Just my thoughts though

@@TimedSquare when you're 6'6", and ex-football player, offensive lineman....with nearly a 9 inch wrist...a 38 mm watch looks like a tiny woman's watch. My daily wearer is 47 mm's. They look normal sized on my wrist.

THANK YOU!!! I wish every watch channel would do videos like this, yet most of them don't even say what their wrist size is when they try a watch on during a review! This was very helpful for me and my 6.25" wrists.

All of these have relatively short lug to lug. That added with the fact that they are diver watches, hence tool watches, it doesn't look too big since it's supposed to be on the larger side. They all look great, I might get that Orient Kamasu c:

Rule: if the lugs are protruding out of wrist, use bracelet, which will blur the boundary of lugs.

What if I use nato straps? As it goes down the watch not creating a gap between the lugs just like a 2 piece straps

I got a 6 1/4 " wrist and I own the SKX013 and an Orient Ray Raven.. they both do look good!

Have your tried the mini turtle? The pepsi bezel edition seems a lot more accessible than the skx013. I'm not sure how it would look on my wrist and fear it may be too big. My wrist is the same size as Timed Square's. I really want a diver for my next watch just not sure which to buy. Curse skinny wrists lol.

@@TesTesTes I looked at so many, Seiko, Orient, Baltic, Lorier, I just couldn't decide which one because none of them stood out to me or were perfect in dimensions so I ended up scratching my watch itch with a citizen eco-drive field type watch. I'm still on the lookout for a divers watch but just accepted it will be difficult to find anything 38mm for an affordable price. Oris do the 65 which looks great but again quite expensive for me.

Got the Mako III and its great, just wish it was smaller or available in smaller sizes like 36-40mm

I know it's been some time since you've put out a new video and l, as someone who also has a small wrist, feel you should know that you are missed. That said, although I am late in watching this video, this is the one l've been waiting for. Thank you ever so much.

Orient Kamasu looks surprisingly good, would have thought it would sit bigger, the ocean 39 also a keeper for sure

As another brother with a small wrist - great suggestions. Hopefully you'll make a similar video with dressier watches, since they often seem to be around 41mm and even bigger which ruin them for me (it gets all dial lol).

Great video, can you recommend affordable dive watches for 6” wrist size, preferably 36mm diameter case? The only 2 I found were Glycine 36mm combat sub and seiko Midsize skx013….🤦‍♀️

to any one who missed the skx013 and wants a sub 200 dollar dive watch i recommend the alba aefd 530/529 . i bought it for 150. and it is an amazing value. it is solar powered and is 38 mm and 45.5 mm lug to lug. alba is a subsidiary of seiko and if you look it up you will find that this is basically the discontinued seiko sne 022 . all the parts on the alba are seiko including the movement and lume so you can expect seiko lume. this is a proper iso dive watch for 150 dollars and is seiko in every way but the name on the dial. and is small ! i have one and it is amazing watch. only problem is it is a jdm so you need to buy from japan and there are not a lot of sellers. but i can't justify buying the skx013 so this is a great alternative. just wanted to share this because i don't see anyone talking about this watch

Short and sweet video, thanks for sharing! I wish they re-released Citizen BN0000-04h so you could model it too -- I used to wear the SKX / SRPD but the 40.5mm dia / 45.7mm L2L on the Citizen is just perfect as a compact diver.

To me, the Seiko SKX013 appeared to fit bigger than the Seiko SRPD63. The SRPD63 looked the best in my opinion..

What is the band you're using on skx013?

Its the lug to lug size which matters for small wrist! Can you pull a 50mm lug to lug? Most Tudor and Rolex SS are 50? Whats your max lug to lug that your wrist can handle w/o overhang?

I got a 6 inch wrist and the watch with default bracelet even after shifting the microadjustments is loose.

Try the Glycine Combat Sub Golden Eye! It looks huge on paper, but it’s so thin that I can pull it off and my wrist is as skinny as yours!

I think they were discontinued about a year ago and now cost about twice the amount.

Sell everything else but do keep skx013!

I'd say you'd be at the absolute limit there. With that lug to lug size you'd have to have female end links & the watch would have to be thin or smaller in other areas. It's like top trumps in the way that pushing the limit on 1 aspect would need you to go smaller in another area such as thickness or dial size or design (a diver looks smaller than a dress watch, due to the bezel & smaller watch face size imho. I had just over a 6 inch wrist & I've got it to almost a 6.25 inch wrist with constant grip strength exercises such as deadhangs from a thicker than normal bar, fat grip farmer Holds / wrist roller for 10 - 15 mins total almost every day & some hand gripper work.. It's a constant grind & have to be careful of a strain injury but it's helped if you're in the skinny wrist club Overall though, wear what you like anyway, life is short & go with what you ultimately enjoy (as long the watch is not massively big). I've seen plenty of people with 6.5 inch wrists or a little bigger with big g shocks on that look too big really...but they rock them & fair play to them.

Kamasu has sapphire crystal,a new bezel design, it's more accurated than ray II

Skx was affordable till every watch channel on KZread called it affordable. ... 7s26 is a horrible movement but if you desire one you can grab a new old stock / Phillipines Franken seiko on Amazon for 800$ what a steal

Steinhart Ocean One GMT’s are wonderful watches. Glad I have one in my collection. 42mm, 300 meter diver and gives me a real headache when I have to decide ‘shall I wear my Omega Seamaster, ... or my Ocean One?’ The Ocean One often wins!
