I am a 60 year old learning to play the piano for the first time. watched loads of you tube stuff of americans saying "wow dude, you got this, your awesome" and still sounded crap. Found a northern bloke with a brew who explains it in ways i can follow and now i dont sound as crap as before. Thanks mate. You may not realise how much you are helping people, but take it from me, you are.
I'm relearning the piano after a 50 year gap since I was a teenager -- this video is excellent (of course, as a fellow northerner, I'm biased)

This was fun Josef. What I really liked the Einaudi progressions. I’d also like to see what you were doing in your right hand - you were doing more than just playing the octave. That would help us spice up the progressions a little and learn the basics for improvisation. Keep up the great work!

Yes please :) :) - It would be an immense help - Thanks so much.
I have played 4 instruments, but am just now learning chords to play with worship music.. Your video is a game changer. Nlike many utubers, you are not here to glorify your own talent, but the actually HELP others.
It’s so nice that with such a great teacher anyone can start improvising very quickly. And there is nothing better for fingers training than improvising for a looong time :D

Thats what its about. Using our skills to create and play actual music. Something that seems lost in the traditional piano world.

@@Creativepianoacademy I completely agree. When I started to learn piano it was harder to find something really entertaining and easy to follow. Now we have you, Pianote, Jazer Lee, and few other amazing teachers. I even started myself to create similar content which helps in basic improvisation. I hope there is never too much of it :D

Just working on my new piano membership site and all the content for it. Back to it now and videos will be more regular.
It’s nice to use a chord progression (-4)from one of the greatest Rock ballads of all time : “ don’t stop believing “ is what every newbie and wanna be needs as a mantra!
I played classical piano for 13 years and never learned this kinda of stuff so have always struggled to make accompaniments to my own songwriting. excited to be learning it now!!
It isn't just what knowledge that you are passing ; it I how you do it. Very accessible , thanks this is another step in my journey.
Finally a channel where I actually learn what I was looking for, thanks so much!!
These are by far the most helpful videos for piano beginners on KZread
At last, after weeks of searching and trying, your tutoring style makes "hands together" so easy to learn! I play, guitar, bass, drums, fiddle and harmonica, but piano has always been on on the back burner until now. I really like your piano video recording showing the big three elements; your keyboard w/hands, overlay keyboard color highlights, and you in the middle giving instructions. Of course I have subscribed to your channel and will checkout your classes! BRAVO!
Welcome back, Joe. - we missed you!

Pay dirt! What a great tutorial😊 very straightforward and clear. I especially appreciated your counting and explanation of finger placement of the patterns instead of naming the chord. I know it would be great to learn all the names of the qualities of them, but I needed to know this content NOW! Thank you from your new subscriber❤️
Yes, please provide sheet music!
3- the octave third eg. C G E 4- basically octave third but G and E are played together 5 - moving einuandi, same as pattern 4 but repeats top two notes: C GE GE
Interesting video as usual and yes sheet musicwould be usefull
This video made me a subcriber!
You good 👍👍
josef, my hands move in a strange funny way, they feel strange too. watching your hands is inspirational, something i can aim for. these left-hand patterns became comfortable quite quickly for me. soon, i’ll have hands like yours, even just in my dreams.
