Yet again you have given me even more ideas on how to practice as close to real life as possible, most people do not understand how versatile Karate is and its effectiveness in every area of self defense. Karate needs more role models like yourself that have the passion for the art built into their DNA. Thank you *Deep bow*
Sesei Jesse, thank you to bring us the roots from karate. My karate was cold, but, I had to study english and rebuild my karate, so I started to watch your videos, and maaaan, my mind blow up, and now I want to train karate every single day. One more time, thank you. Ps: I'm still work in my english, just sorry if I made some mistakes. :-) Osu.

We do something similar, but these are a good variation of drills that most students with good basics can do. Thank you for sharing Sensei!
You are one of my favorite karate channels on KZread! You have gotten me back into practicing my Wado Ryu karate and I have used so many of your tips and lessons to make my katas come alive and not just dead movements.

GOOD STUFF AND THANKS FOR THE VIDEO 😃😃😃😃😃
Gonna use some of these the next time I teach the advanced kids class. I work at a sport-oriented dojo, but self-defense is always a good and very important addition!
I really like those exercices!

Exercise no. 3. I think that roll over takes you further away from the attacker. So, as a defensive act, better to run away than engaging with the aggressor. Of course, if you have place to run. Or else, get engaged with the attacker like in the exercise you just mentioned.

Tack för dina träningstips, Jesse! Jag måste prova övningarna så fort jag får möjligheten. Det är inte lätt dock att hitta en träningspartner som är beredd att träna lite hårdare.
Happy women's day karate nerds!😌

Hi
Jesse Enkamp, could you give the name of the kick again? Did you say kakato geri? I looked this up and it looks more like an "axe kick". Can someone give me the name of the kick used about 2:45 in the video?
@KARATEbyJesse

Yes. Kakato means heel.

@@KARATEbyJesse yeah man.
Perhaps next time you are going to have a group of life-size padded practice dummies attacking you, which you can strike hard, without injuring a training partner..😀
