    @@frockz69 ridden in both conditions and two things to say: go really easy in the wet break easy in the wet. The dual breaking system doesn't help the front under steer in breaking so break early and gently. I'm upgrading tyres from factory set now and I know that helps. Taking off, because of the immediate torque to the rear, it can spin you out. Get to know it, respecting the weather and being really cautious. I've come off in the wet because of breaking late at very very slow speed. And I have recovered after sliding with too much power taking off. Mostly rider error though and the tyres I feel. The bike is very capable. Hope this helps. I love the bike. Saved a fortune and it's fantastic fun to ride. Oh and the app scans every journey you take and time and distance coverd. They are getting close to being worthy of being called motorcycles but not yet ready for long distance traveling of highways seeing as most barely get to 50mph on the affordable models. One thing I haven't seen done on these electric motorcycles is a hand crank charger, a simple small alternator to hand crank to charge the battery would be handy if you run out of power in a remote area with no cell service. Could crank it for an hour off the road for say for an hour and get enough power to get to the next charging point. Then you'd never need to worry about being stranded. Another minute are the batteries and their prices, 1000charges isn't that many meaning a person that rides alot will have to buy batteries every 2 years give or take. This is common with regular motorcycles as batteries never last that long but those $100 batteries for a combustion engine don't cost near as much as a electronic motorcycle battery.

    @@truthxposed8975 What you are saying are myths propagated by traditional car makers and oil companies to slow down the switch away from fossil fuels. Serious studies have shown that electric mobility is several times more carbon efficient than ICE based mobility, from raw ore to the scrapyard. There's countless advantages of electric vehicles over ICE powered ones - regenerative braking, much simpler construction, much higher energy efficiency, much longer service life of parts, to name a few. The only downsides are that the technology is new and not as widespread, which makes it more expensive, and that battery energy density is low compared to fossil fuels. In five years from now, however, the battery energy density will double, at least, and the prices will come down as more and more companies start building and selling electric vehicles. At that time, an EV instead of an ICE powered one will be a no-brainer, both from the point of view of convenience and cost and from an environmental point of view. We're already there, environmentally, we still have to work on cost and autonomy.

    In Canada these specific e-motorcycles are classified as ebikes and are therefore required by law to have functional pedals and are limited to max speed of 32km/hr. This allows riders of these to avoid registration, licensing and vehicle insurance. The real wattage of these bikes are much higher than 500Watt but must be advertised within legal requirements. They are between 2000 and 3000watts and can be unlocked or wires disconnected to travel at maximum real speeds.

    Exactly! I have a Emmo DX (same bike, different stickers) and with two 30ah 72v batteries and the limiter disconnected it has a top speed of 75kmh and 120km range. Happily the cops in northern Ontario don't seemed bothered by an E-bike doing 65kmh on tertiary highways. The suspension is lacking however, no adjustability and not very sensitive. Easy to upgrade on Ali Express.

  • @MotoChatter

    @MotoChatter

    Dear Márton, sorry you feel some how duped by the the thumbnail. Here is some clarification, the electric motorbike in the thumbnail (Ultraviolette F77) is featured in the video, as one of the 5 electric motorbikes. There are no scooters in the video, therefore the title you suggest would be misleading to those looking for a video about scooters. Range that you can get from any motorbike, electric or internal combustion will vary upon how you ride it, I am sure that anyone who rides or drives is aware of this. Suggesting that providing a maximum range figure for a vehicle is a scam because at highway speeds it couldn't achieve that maximum range, is absurd. I provide the figures that are available for the motorbikes at the time of making the video, as mentioned in the video, the F77 is undergoing final prototype testing at the time of producing the video, if there are no highway range figures mentioned, you can conclude that they weren't available to me at the time. Granted the motorbikes here are not very powerful motorbikes, but they are under $6000, hence making them more affordable than more expensive, more powerful electric motorbikes with higher ranges. Just like with internal combustion engined motorbikes. I do have videos featuring electric bikes with more power and range, but the price is also too high to be featured in this video. With the exception of the Damon, the lack of power of which is referred to in the video, the other motorbikes here have equivalent power to at least a 125cc internal combustion engine or greater, not the 50cc you refer to. I found the best range of 5 electric motorbikes I could at the time, that were affordable (under $6000) and were available in different parts of the world, I would be happy to receive suggestions of other bikes that meet that criteria. As I asked at the end of the video, if you have any suggestions of electric motorbikes, that could feature here, with a price tag below $6000, that also provide more performance be it, power or range, feel free to drop it in a comment as others have been kind enough to do. Therefore the thumbnail represent the content of the video, which is why it is featured as such. It is not the intention to mislead anyone with thumbnails or any thing else in my videos, but to share an interest in motorbikes with others. Have a great day.

    @@MotoChatter "Suggesting that providing a maximum range figure for a vehicle is a scam because at highway speeds it couldn't achieve that maximum range, is absurd." ...if its so absurd, why do internal combusion engine motorcycle base their range figures on that? Not to mention, how in the hell is it possible that energica's new electric touring bike actually features range figures that are not with the usual "*only within city limits"? What i meant by "its effectively 50cc" is that if you use it with performance hugher than a 50cc scooter, you won't get ay of the advertised specs.
