Recipes from today:
Hai's Spicy Noodles :
Samyang 2X Spicy Chicken and the recipe is
2 cups water
chicken boullion
buffalo spicy cheese
spam
boil 2 cups water
add chicken boullion to preffered taste
add the victim and cook till done
drain it, leave only a little bit of soup left
add the victims spicy sauce and cook till satisfied.
Add spam, (i cut it into slices), and add the cheese
let sit till cheese melts.
if spam is desired hot, then i just sear it so it's crispy and let the excess noodle heat do its job.
Libbeys Ramen Salad:
Ramen Topping:
-2 packs of crushed Sapporo Ichiban ramen
-1/4 cup unsalted butter
-1 1/2 cup toasted sliced almonds
-1/3 cup sesame seeds
Ramen Salad:
-3/4 of a green cabbage (shredded)
-1/2 of a red cabbage (shredded)
-1/2 cup shredded carrots
-1/2 bunch of sliced green onions
Dressing:
-1/3 cup oil
-2 tablespoons sesame oil
-1/4 cup rice vinegar
-1/4 cup sugar
-1 tsp soy sauce
-1 tablespoon grated ginger
-1/2 tsp ground pepper
-1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Directions:
1. Mix dressing ingredients and set aside
2. Melt butter and brown almonds
3. Add sesame seeds and toss until they become fragrant (don’t burn!)
4. Add ramen and toss. Set topping aside to cool.
5. Combine cabbage, green onion, ramen topping and dressing right before serving!
Salama's Half Spicy Noodles:
Samyang Spicy Chicken
water
labneh
Lime juice
Cook the noodles, drain most of the water, add half the spice pack, labneh and squeeze half a lime!
Martabak Mie
Boil up one pack of indomie half-cooked, and then after that we drain the water and mix the half-cooked noodles with an egg and a scallion or some of your favorite toppings, such as corned beef or even a sliced mushroom. Dont forget to add your packet of seasonings into the egg and noodle mixture.
After that you need a shallow pan, and heat up a little bit some cooking oil, after it's hot enough add you mixture and wait, flip it when the bottom part is golden brown. And make sure both sides are crispy and the inside is cooked.
Now your martabak mie is ready to be served, if you want a simple sauce to dip. You can mix some sriracha sauce and a sweet soy sauce with 1:1 ratio, you can also add a lil garlic to add some flavor to it.

Hey beryl, I wanna share my favourite ramen recipe!!, Its like a warm hug in winters!!;;;;; Ingredients- Samyang Buldak 1x spicy ramen, white sauce (all purpose flour, butter, milk, oregano), parmesan or processed cheese, capsicum, onions, tomatoes, garlic and boiled corn;;;;;;; Recipe- First boil your noodles and strain the excess water and keep it aside ; Now in a pan make your white sauce and keep the consistency perfect saucy (like not too thick or not too watery),; Now in another pan add some oil, add your chhoped garlic in hot oil, saute garlic for 5-10 seconds, now add your chopped onions and chopped capsicum/ green bell pepper , saute both together for another 1-2 mnts on high flame , add some chopped tomatoes, cook till the tomatoes are soften, add a pinch of salt and pepper, add your boiled corns, give it a good mix for 30 seconds and switch off the flame;;;;;; Now in a bowl, add boiled noodles, add the seasoning sauce that came in the packet, add your white sauce, add the sauted vegetables and give them all a good mix!!;;;; Now top it up with cilantro and some cheese and microwave it for 1 minute;;;;;; Finallly enjoy!!!! (I know this recipe looks like a lots of hardwork, but trust me its really a warm hug in a winter evening) (my phone keypad has some issues that's why everything is so messed up, i was not able to use fullstops or the key to change the line, sorry🙂) I hope anyone who tries this recipe, feel a warm hug!!!!!

My family’s ramen 2 pkgs top ramen (usually chicken flavor) 2 eggs, beaten 1-2 cups frozen peas 2-4 c water, depending on how soupy you want it 1. Boil water and add seasoning packets 2. Add noodles ( do not drain) 3. Remove from heat 4. Stir in eggs until “ creamy” looking 5. Add in frozen peas ( will stop noodles and eggs from cooking further) 6. Cover and let sit until desired consistency 7. Sprinkle with ground black pepper, if desired This is how my kids grew up eating ramen. I learned from a friend when I was a child…. Loved it. I added peas for veggies and it was a hit. My kids still ask for it…. And they are 17, 18, and 20! Super great after a day playing in the snow…. And we can call it “ healthy “ because… it has eggs and veggies 😊

Haven’t enjoyed cooking this much for ages. I recently tried Banh Trang Nuong and found some pork floss at my local asian grocer! That on some lovely toast with Taro spread on it is a true winner. I passed the inspiration for Banh Trang Nuong to my aunt who also tried it, and it blew her mind. I’m truly grateful for content like yours. You’re spreading the LOVE!

Ooh rosé ttukbokki (rosé like the wine and not rose the flower) would be fun to see! The newer thing in Korean food is 엽떡 (yub dduk) a spicy ttukbboki where the mild is like a fire noodle level of spice 😂 highly recommend adding the options of fried veggies and hard boiled eggs & getting a sweet juice drink.

For a stress free jammy soft-boiled egg: fill the pot with only enough water so that the egg(s) is only about 3/4 submerged. Bring to a boil. Put the egg in for exactly 6.5 minutes and cover. Immediately remove from the water when the time is up and cool in an ice bath or under running water. Done!

Yes! Ramen salad seems to be a weird American staple we all had growing up. I’m from the southern states and my mom made it with the cabbage & carrot as well as green onion and the canned mandarin oranges. And peanuts instead of almonds. Such good memories! I’m so glad this was featured.

In Martabak Mie, the egg should be beaten a little (use spoon), the scallion should be inside (just a little), and add some little hot sauce on top the steps: shake an egg - put all seasoning including scallion - stir a little - and add the noodles at the last

Oh, the Buldak 2x Spicy noodles are a favourite kind for me and I'm picking them up any time I come across them XD but yes, this is the kind of noodles where if someone asks me what my favourite instant ramen is, I immediately name them but then give the warning that you would probably want to try something like Carbonara variety first to know if you can handle it I just like the spice, plus it's great for when you have a stuffy nose! Edit: I never have the energy to add anything except what's in the ramen package, so I'm talking purely about the ramen cooked as the instructions say (550 ml of water, boil for 5 minutes, drain leaving ~8 tablespoons, add sauce and flakes, mix on the hob for ~30 seconds) and the soup way (550ml of water, add sauce to the water, boil noodles for 5 minutes, pour into the bowl, flakes on top)

I add leftover meats and veggies in water and boil them for a few hours while I watch the tv. Than, I just add that to the instant noodle recipe. Makes it less salty, but does not remove flavor! It's better with dried shiitakes too!

I love to eat samyang tomato pasta flavor ramen with sauteed onions and bacon and add cream and Parm. I sometimes also make a cold noodle with cooked, cooled and drained ramen with a mixture of gochujang, a touch of sugar, soy sauce, vinegar and Kewpie sesame dressing.

I like putting crushed noodles in a thermos with some frozen peas and chicken fajita seasoning. Add boiling water in the morning and go to work. Noodles will be cooked and have soaked up all the water by lunch. Oh and I count the third way; thumb, index, middle, pinky, ring 😅. It must have been how our reception teacher taught us as everyone who went to my school counts that way but I’ve never met anyone else who does 😂

Buldak is actually Korean noodles and probably one of the most exported. It is very spicy indeed and should actually be eaten with a thick sauce and not soupy, which means it feels even spicier than what you tasted. :P Btw, it is my favorite noodles of all! haha I usually make it with eggs and cheese, though.

Regarding finger counting...the US typically fingercounts starting with the index finger and ends with the thumb, where much of Europe tends to count beginning with the thumb. Some countries also begin using the pinky first. And if you saw the movie Inglorious Bastards, it was this difference that gave away Michael Fassbender's character when ordering 3 beers.

I have used instant noodles in a salad before, and loved it. I'm not really a fan of cooked instant noodles, but I do like them when they are crunchy. I like to break them apart and toast them! This allows them to hold up a little bit better in a salad, especially if you are using dressing. I usually use them in a salad with chicken and mandarin oranges. The oranges add a little sweetness and soft texture, the instant noodles add a toasty crunch, and both of them together really enhance the salad. I definitely recommend trying instant noodles in a salad, especially toasted!

Samyang Buldak 2x spicy ramen is my absolute favorite ramen. Just as Hai, I also love putting some cheese and spam into it, or sometimes just some blanched carrots and peanuts. Depends on my mood. They also sell the sauce packet bottled, which I always have on hand to top almost everything I eat with. Drip some into a burrito, on a fried egg, dip potato wedges into it. It's simply a delicious paring with most things!

In my opinion hand counting depends on which brain hemisphere is dominant; left dominant uses right hand and vice versa while counting starting with the pinky is usually detail oriented person but if starting with/near the thumb is mostly done by people who sees the bigger picture/broader scale. Also when counting, facing the palm inwards shows introversion while facing it outwards is extraversion.

I'm excited to try ramen salad! I've never had that before (not sure if it's a thing in my country...? But I remember my cousin making the martabak Indomie. I thought she was so smart to thought of that trick! I think she added egg to the mixture to make it more pancake/omelette-y. Also, I count from my thumb, but sometimes I count from my pinkie. Only count from my index fingers when I'm talking with kids, or being "official"
