Cheers, I just bought this cause I needed some basic functionality like one-shot triggering of samples and a bit of pitching here and there for my purely computer-based keyboard live setup. CR8's interface is so easy to understand, it really is a blast and fills exactly that gap, thank you!

Gotta say, I'm not even into sound design, but I'm totally blown away. Incredible tool and fun for just about any musician. And the Cosmos sample tagger is unreal and will make you want to totally index your old samples. Endless possibilities truly. Pretty deep but yet not inaccessible or too hard to use. Brilliant!

Y’all really hit it with this one. I got tons of samplers, but this is so dope with the workflow. Great video too!

Bought this after 3 min of the demo. Incredible versatility!

Got this after watching an ad on KZread. I was so amazed by the advert I had to purchase it, and would paid 50. It was only 10 bucks on sale! I couldn't believe it. Had an issue with the license, support through chat took care of me in minutes. I'm impressed.

I’ve cooked up a couple beats already after a few hours of using this powerful plugin. Creativity is on a 💯!!

As a sound designer, this is a must. Incredible! Highly recommend!

@@bu5hm45t3r This CR8 is pretty good. Sure it doesn't do all the stuff Ableton's Simpler/Sampler do, but its 9 bucks and does a lot of cool things. I am already using it and also this Cosmos browser/whatever is handy.

I often work across different DAWs and I never realised how useful a universal sampler could be until I got my hands on this… at $10, how can you not!!!

Looks to be fantastic value for the money.

Yo! This producer had sold me on a number of your plugins! (Ovox) 😂 WAVES GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE. Just watched other videos on this plugin and this was the kicker.

That's really good, Waves, and I'm not even a fan. Although this is fantastic and the pricing is really good right now I'd like to point out one thing I really, really missed: the possibility of setting and mapping multiple slices in a SAME audio layer. This is pretty standard and although I kinda understand why CR8 avoided this it's still a pretty essential feature imo. Any how, it's an excellent sampler.

It would be cool if the samples being auditioned in cosmos be automatically pitch mapped when the "Suggest Root Key" button is enabled. So that one would not be limited to specific sample pitches when auditioning for new sounds.

That would mean delayed auditioning when clicking every sample because the program would have to load that sample in the RAM plus the extra processing to map the accordingly to the key. That would drive other users nuts and make them lose their patience. Of course, it wouldn’t hurt as an optional flip-of-a-button switch.

So @9:35 he plays the individual hits of the loop, I'm trying to get this to work but did he chop them up manually? Does CR8 not have an autmatic splitting opf the individual hits?

The trick he's doing with adding sustain to the 808 is something I did many man years ago with Maschine. That's why the legato function (are you listening, Akai?) is so important. Along with 808s, you can use the same trick on any one shot with decent enough length. Maschine has been able to do this for a very long time but Akai is lacking the legato feature so you can't do infinite sustain like you can on Maschine.

I hope in the future you'll add support for more than 8 samples, round robins etc. so it can start competing with Kontakt - CR8 seems more user friendly. Hmm I'm guessing the name CR8 suggests that a CR500 or CRPRO or whatever is coming at some point :P

​@@GTSongwriter Yeah pretty much (though some of the pitch-shifting algorithms in CR8 are worth a look and might not be replicable in Kontakt, as far as I know) It is quite fun to use to create characterful instruments, not so great for realistic ones. I would say the sounds it comes with make it worth the price, even if you own kontakt already, they're all quite fun and quirky.

It’s incredible! . Especially with Cosmo. Waves could have crushed all samplers by going all out with a auto slice function and extensive sequencer and per layer modulators. Missed opportunity imo.

Can you trigger CR8 via an audio side chain input? Similar to slate trigger for playing drum sample one hits?

CR8 is a really good sampler. The features are configured to be easy to use and I love them. But I'm a little disappointed that I can't draw the LFO drawing tool delicately. I hope you can improve that part a little bit.

1:45 I can do this step but the sound I uses changes speed depending on the note. I thought I dont wan't to hit C2 and have it slow and hit C6 and it be super fast. Is there a way to keep all notes the same?

Could you please bring this to Steinbergs Cubasis 3 or release is as an audio unit in the App Store for iPad?

Even at full price this is only €35. I don't think there is any other sampler out there that has as many features as this for that price. I suspect they are running this as a 'loss leader' to draw people to their website to spend on more products. It's worked a treat on me as in my opinion this plugin alone moves Waves well ahead of the competition.
