I think that the Abrahamic religions are excluded because they are theologies, where the goal is to instill ethics and morals in the writings. In Greek mythology, ex., there were no real lessons, just that the gods were awful, and that Zeus copulates with everything that moves and looks remotely like a woman. The theologies are in a different category compared to the religions mentioned here.

The four Vedas contain information on many aspects of arts, crafts, science and engineering (Rigveda, Samaveda, Yajurveda and Atharvaveda). If no one explained to you that outside earth there are planets, would you know how sun and moon work? Of would you just assume that a god bring up the sun and take it off later for the moon to go up??
