i love hallgrimskirkja but its not even a cathedral and doesnt belong here compared to otherd its very unique and would be fitting if it were a cathedral for that reason, same goes for sagrada familia which is a basilica cologne cathedral deserves a spot on this list, its incredible

St Peters Basilica is the most amazing building in the world

I feel sad that I was so small when I visited the two most beautiful cathedrals: Cologne Cathedral & Hagia Sophia.I wholeheartedly admire this catholic epics and fantasies even though I'm a muslim.

The Sagrada Familia is a basilica, not a cathedral. A cathedral is the specific church of a bishop. A church can't just become a cathedral because it looks cool or is big

I think Durham Cathedral is the Most underrated cathedral. It’s the last fully Norman cathedral in England and is arguably the best placed on earth.

The Koln/Cologne Cathedral is an absolute masterpiece!! It is massive & amazing. Can’t believe it’s not #1 on this list!! (Maybe unpopular opinion but I also think the Duomo in Milan is more beautiful than Notre Dame. And yes, I have been to all 3)

Cologne Cathedral

I don't think the Sagrada Familia has the seat of the bishop. So it is a cathedral, it is a minor basilica. The Hagia Sofia was also a basilica.

Strasbourg cathedral ? World's tallest building from 1647 to 1874, and the highest still standing extant structure built entirely in the Middle Ages ( the spire was finished in 1439).

I am sure it has been said in the comments already, but the organ in Christ (The Crystal) Cathedral is not the largest musical instrument in the world. It is one of the largest, but still a far cry from the largest.

And highly subjective. I mean, what kind of person puts the Crystal Cathedral on such a list? I can name dozens of cathedrals more deserving than the Crystal Cathedral. Trier's Dom? Washington's National Cathedral and the Shrine of the Immaculate Conception? See? Very subjective. I've seen Mormon Temples that are more deserving a place on this listicle than the Crystal Cathedral.

@@wiesdevos24 correct. It may have been recognized by the Vatican, but it is not a cathedral. Barcelona Cathedral is where the bishop has his place.

Strange rating. Cologne cathedral is absent. But St. Basil cathedral in Moscow is presented as miracle #1. Actually it is not cathedral at all, just pictirius church. And legend about architects blinded by Tsar Ivan is lying fiction to impress tourists. Those architects constructed two more churges after that in Russia.

Assuming you mean Gaudi, very unlikely. That many greats would require around 300 years. Gaudi was born 170 years ago
