    I also like them both! If I turned out anything near as good, I would be absolutely delighted. Just shows that when you are talented, you can still think a decent result is not good enough. Us wannabes would be thrilled to produce something like this!!!

    Those were both brilliant. The finished product when you step back and look at it….wow! I really liked them both. I have all of the tools to start, and I’m too afraid. But I love watching you and I’m hoping one of these days I will have the nerve to put something on paper. Thanks for being a huge inspiration. ❤

    I really hope you do start soon. It's such enormous fun playing with watercolors. I am not very good, but I love to just paint blobs on paper and watch the watercolors play with each other. I sometimes doodle on top of that. It kind of takes the stress out of feeling like you have to achieve a finished product that looks like anything. Think of it as mindfulness therapy and not as something that you have to be good at. Emma is absolutely inspirational and was the first watercolor artist I started watching, way back before she even had 10,000 subscribers lol. I just love how she presents and is so natural. Take a leaf from her book and be yourself and just enjoy the process, try not to seek a result. I hope this helps a bit. I often make total messes of what I do, but the thing is, to just DO it.

    What are you afraid of? Have you ever seen a professional basketball player miss a shot? You will have hits and you will have misses! But I guarantee- you will miss 100% of the shots you don’t take! So take a shot- it’s only paper!!! And enjoy the journey.

    I like them both, but I honestly LOVE the first night landscape! It’s got a lovely softness and looseness. I definitely have big love for fuzzy trees! I’d like to see a bit longer version that is your vision, but I almost think it will be too ‘perfect’ and detailed in comparison…

    Actually, i think you are waaaay too hard on yourself. Like others have said, I would be very happy to turn out something like either one of these! And...at the 10 minute mark on the video, where you had drawn your brush across the bleed, it gave the impression of a more forward foreground in a few places, like what one might see in a park....am I making sense? The pressure was on and you did NOT disappoint. Thank you - your 5min Landscape would take me at least 30 minutes!

    Like them both. Love the skies and how you add snow. Should paintbrush be dry when you splatter the white?

  • @Dedaskitchen

    @Dedaskitchen

    Жыл бұрын

    No, the wetter, the easier the paint splatters. A dry paintbrush won’t release the paint well. But too much water will make lighter splatters that won’t e very visible when dry. So just practice a bit.

    They both turned out nice. I just finished playing with one of these tonight. NOT in five minutes, thanks to my cats interfering with EVERYTHING But it turned out fairly well. I have some of the bleed proof white on it's way and am looking forward to that. Trying to splatter with Derwent's white pan paint...inktense, I guess, is definitely a more subtle process.
