5 Minute Qigong For Tinnitus 2 | Beating The Heavenly Drum | Qigong For Seniors

This video shows you some 5 Minute Qigong for tinnitus and ringing in the ears. It's an ancient Qigong method called "Beating the Heavenly Drum". This exercise also benefits the kidney system, fluid balance, helps regulate blood pressure and encourages Qi flow through the lower back.

For both variations of this method, you may need to practice for a few days before you observe any reduction in the ringing sound in your ears. Please remember that tinnitus is a stubborn condition to treat so please don't expect any miracles. Any reduction in the ringing is great progress!
Note: This exercise is not a substitute for conventional medical treatment. If you are in pain or discomfort, please consult your healthcare provider or an audiologist to receive a full check-up on the health of your ears.
This lesson is taught by myself, Dr. Janice Tucker, the founder of the Space To Relax Programme of Qigong video lessons. Hi Janice, does liver qi stagnation causes tinnitus? My TCM doctor after checking my pulse and tongue said my liver qi flow is not smooth. I am taking herbs for 2 weeks before the next appointment. In addition to the exercise in this video, which liver qi exercise would you recommend for me to do? Please reply. Thank you Janice.

Hi Tom. Yes it can do. Here are a couple of Qigong videos to help smooth the flow of Liver Qi which could be of help to you: spacetorelax.com/qigong-springtime-stretching-and-healing-sound-for-liver/ and spacetorelax.com/lesson-29-liver-cleansing-qigong-exercises-replay-of-live-qigong-class/. Is there a recording to simulate this drumming sound.?. This technique does shut down the tinnitus briefly but the exercise is tedious.

The vibration and the drumming sound you create yourself is what creates the healing frequency Greg. You may find a recording online but I doubt it would have the same effect. Best wishes, Janice.

That's great news. I don't advise practising while watching TV as your focus needs to be on your practice, not on the TV! 🙂

It is widely accepted there is no way of stopping tinnitus, but YT has hundreds of videos like this.

Well, my tinnitus _is_ still there... but it's definitely not as piercing as it wanted to be a few moments ago. It's back down to where I can probably ignore it again in a few minutes. I didn't expect this to do anything, really, so I'm not entirely comfortable crediting placebo. Maybe the drumming is so loud in one's head that tinnitus sounds quieter by comparison?

Hi Stan, For such a stubborn condition you would need to be practicing this for a few minutes, 2 or 3 times per day for a week or two in order to give it a fair chance of making any difference. Qigong isn't magic I'm afraid! 🙂
