I know this is super simple for you, but I genuinely am supremely appreciative of your effort! It’s been SO expensive and hard for me to both afford to feed my family, and keep up with making different fresh, nutritious recipes for a low dollar amount. Extra long recipes can also take a toll on me as I’m severely disabled and get overwhelmed easily and quickly. You breaking things down to the most simple way possible helps me so much, and I’m sure it helps out many others!

Thank you so much, Aaron and Claire! This was such an easy recipe to do and it's so delicious! I played around with some different ingredients and I now, with the oyster sauce, add a bit of soy sauce and a few drops of sesame oil, as well as a bit of brown sugar. I whisk those ingredients with the eggs and then add the rice as you instructed. I also add some minced garlic to the green onion oil right before I add the rice mixture, otherwise the garlic will burn. Just some suggestions for anyone else that wants to take your delicious and easy recipe further!

Ya know, I was cooking myself a fish fillet but had no sides to go with it. I had some white rice on hand, as well as some egg and bacon, and thought “maybe this could be good” so into the pan with my fish oil and seasonings I added some soy sauce, teriyaki and the bacon with an egg, making some of the best fried rice I’ve ever had. It’s crazy that upon finding this video, I discovered I basically made fried rice exactly the way you’re supposed to. But that’s really all cooking is huh? Seeing some things you like and thinking to yourself “this’ll probably be good”

Ok so, met a Chinese woman that immigrated to LA to open up a restaurant. 30 years later she has 3. She taught me how to make fried rice. Problem is it turns out like mush no matter what I do. When she helped me make it? Spot on. On my own? I am missing something. I can make PERFECT sticky rice. She advised me to let it sit in the fridge for a few hours, maybe overnight. It's after this I fail. Edit: You figured it out for me! I know what I am doing wrong! I put the veggies in BEFORE the rice! It makes it mushy due to the excess water! AHH! Thank you so much!

@@budjy1 I bought pre-cooked rice few times, its edible, depending on brand can be even good. Basically you just open the bag, put it in microwave and heat it for two to three minutes, so you can make it with this and still take circa 5-10 minutes. Recipes like these are also great when you have leftover cooked rice and dont know what with it. Egg on rice or fried rice makes for good early dinner.

I know this is old, but I just recently found your channel. Subscribed after this vlog. I made fried rice your way and it's the best I've ever made, thank you. For those afraid of "fishy taste" in fish sauce: Worcestershire Sauce and Caesar Dressing both have fish in them, anchovies to be specific. So you already like some kinds of fish sauce, just try a different country's.

By it's self, fish sauce is strong but it's mostly salty. A little bit of it really deepens the flavor of whatever dish you add it to, and it does not taste fishy at all. If you add to much at will very very salty and strong of anchovy.

The way Aaron says "...if you don't have it, don't worry about it..." I love it! It is the spirit of cooking, or making anything on your own. We are NOT factories. We are human beings making food for ourselves and families. Why do we need to worry too much about following whoever. Yeah, it may come out different if we missed a particular sauce or something but why bother? This is your dishes. You or your family would like it because you spent efforts making it. It may taste different from how Aaron cooks it, or how Roger cooks it, but who can say which is best? You haven't tasted theirs, nor have they tasted yours! If you find it not tasty enough for you or family, add it back next time, or change other variables. That's the fun of cooking!

My wife makes Fried ramen instead of fried rice. She takes ramen noodles packages and heats the noodles in the water then drains the water after cooked. Then fries onions, peppers, and eggs. At the same time she rehydrates cabbage and carrots. Adds them all into a skillet with the noodles and fries. Adding the seasoning packet from the ramen noodles as well as some soy sauce and ground cowhorn pepper. It's delicious!

It’s such a kick to hear Aaron echo, “Claire?” And her sweet and appreciative “Mmmms,” are adorable. I love you two!

This is one of those times the KZread algorithm does wonders! I've been craving fried rice for days but have been cutting back on takeout and I can't cook very well. This was easy and delicious and I'm so happy!
