Great picks Tony! Kreator, Sepultura, Bathory and Carcass are so important and influential for the creation of Extreme Metal. They definitely had a helping hand in forming what we know today. Motorhead are a band I'm getting into more and more, they're an awesome band and had great influence on a lot of the 80's Metal bands. Can't be understated how important they are! Nice one man 😊😁🤘🤘

Can't fault your picks Tony. Great response, it hurts when anybody shows " Bathory ". As had the chance to buy O.G's of their albums about 5 years ago for a decent price. But decided against it!. Did not know them at the time, still kicking myself. Glad you included Motorhead, your Mt Moshmore is epic🤘

Bathory and Carcass are definitely two juggernauts that's been discussed by many fans, stating them as legendary bands in their retrospectives. From the first four Bathory albums being strictly black metal, to the gut-wretchting, uncomfortably driven extreme metal stylings early Carcass was about borrowing element's of Deathgrind/ grindcore and then shifted to melodic death metal around Heartwork era. Both bands have not made quintessential albums for their time, they've made records that are extremely constitutional and they rightfully deserve to be in Mount Moshmore!

Yep, both bands are definitely influential and legendary. They both contributed so much to extreme music.

are hard rock bands close to Metal ok like Van Halen or does it strictly have to be Metal? I know Springsteen, John Cougar don't classify but what about bands like Thin Lizzy , Rainbow , Aerosmith ect? I wouldn't put Kreator they may be a good band one of your favorites but not Mount Rushmore. like Guy Lafleur was a great Hockey player but he's not Mount Rushmore. but it's your list. Kreator Sepultra Bathory Carcas , Motorhead so yeah Venom and Bathory are the Pioneers of Black Metal!!! the reason I wouldn't include Motor head is because there were so many better bands surprised No Accept , Manowar, Helloween for Mount Rusmore my bands 6. one over Metallica 5.Iron Maiden 4. Judas Priest 3. Black Sabbath 2.. tough call Ac/dc 1. Kiss.

It can be anything, I think. I'm going by metal because what I'm into. I actually don't anything by Accept, Manowar or Helloween. There may be so many better bands out there. But there's no denying how influential Motorhead were.
