    Do you think you could make a video about shoes? As in what you look for in them, and some good vegan options that are also durable? I’m new to skating and don’t have them money to go through tons of shoes that don’t last very long.

    A curb, five stair or a 4 block. It doesn't matter. You can do it, you just don't think you can. But in the back of your head you know all you have to do is just commit. I can't say anymore. Just commit

    Love the be intentional part. I been battling a kickflip on this double set. Its small (2 flat 2). Im 28 and haven’t skated stairs in years. Mostly kept it to ledges (low impact). Anyways i found myself not fully committed and just toying with the idea of doing the trick (like you said) instead of actually committing and doing the everything to land the trick. Thanks for the videos. Keep killing it.

  • @AbandonAllArt
    @AbandonAllArt3 жыл бұрын

    He should change he title to "the secret to landing any trick" - because that part about "toying around with the idea of landing it" is what I see so often at the park. People throwing tricks up banks that they aren't consistent with on flat, and becoming frustrated. I feel like they would have so much more fun not trying to impress people. Of course I'm guilty of this too. I'm way more impressed by the guy landing every kickflip than I am by the guy who has been throwing tres all day and the board is just flying away.

    I had a friend years ago who idolized Stevie Williams style. I don't think I ever saw him land anything ever. He would go up to a ledge, pop and the board would go out of control. He would roll back to us saying something like "yea i was trying nollie hardflip nosegrind".

  • @ETorres0311
    @ETorres0311 Жыл бұрын

    Hey brother this might be lengthy, but I gotta say that the way you explain the mental processes and how important it is to have consistency is something not everyone thinks about. when I was younger skating with my homies we’d all just fuck around and throw tricks down without the intent of anything. May be in the hopes of landing it by a struck of luck. You have put into words what I couldn’t pin down as a feeling “doing it with intent/with purpose.” I can’t tell you how many times I stuck a trick because I was better at bailing than committing to it. At one point one of my homies called me the “Stick King” couldn’t land big tricks for the life of me. Every now and then I’d get lucky and land a kickflip down a 9 stair or something but it never felt intentional. I’m 26 now and I’ve been skating on and off for about 13 years (life gets in the way, but I always want to come back to it) but I swear this past month I’ve been back it feels completely different in a good way, and your videos are helping me think about skating in a totally different aspect. Thank you for this bro! You’re awesome!!
