HOW TO FRONTSIDE 360

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Today we're going over the frontside 360 on flatground. If you get frustrated, I'd recommend trying it over a hip instead - much more fun.

    As a kid I was mesmerized by how skaters kept the board on their feet I now understand it’s just physics but watching people like you and Jeremy Wray do them brings me back to when I was a kid because of how impossible fronts 360s still look to me.

    im 31 been skating since before there was youtube, just landed my first frontside 360 twice in a row, thank you soon much. I came here to teach my kids but I'm really proud of myself too. if I can add anything to the tutorial I would say practice off the board your spin technique. first left shoulder aligned to right( it creates optimum spin because your shoulders are twisted ready to spin body left) then when you are in 180 make sure you're right hand is already over left foot! this posture means you are ready for full another 180 twist again! you are cocked back ready to reload another spin! try without left over right and u can't spin again. from 180 right hand over left foot there you are gonna generate the next 180 twist that comes from a simple ollie and nose pivot to landing.its like a cheat half ass 180 to manual to get the full spin but to complete the 360. you just du don't even have to do a full 360 if you can rotate the spin on your nose with left foot. clench your body\ arms from spinning so you stop spinning left or right when landing. you do this by literally moving your arms in the opposite direction. remember if u create momentum u have to stop it in the other direction.keep the mentality that you are landing a faky 180 then pivot on the nose bit with more emphasis on landing strong

    Yo! Something I learned from watching a snowboard 360 guide is that the landing is blind. In this video when you land you are looking behind you and then after you land you turn your head to look towards the front. On flat ground when you have such low hang time these little movements not only make it look smoother but really helps you get that extra rotation you need.

  • @thed.z.a.4658

    @thed.z.a.4658

    the landing is not blind you spot your landing before you pop and never take your eyes off it and specifically that also means never raising your head if that makes sense

    Nice. I was looking how to do 360 axle spins (what's the trick do doing a bunch of them?), but, enjoyed watching this as well. Still working on my 180 ollies after a 20 year hiatus from skating. I think I could kind of do it back in the 80s, though, I'm not sure how consistent it was and probably wasn't as nice looking as yours.

    One of the hardest tricks for me. After countless battles, I'm not even close. In theory I know it "all", watched a bunch of tutorials, but I just can't get past the 180. Switch either, always stops at 180, no matter how much I wind up, explode, pop in the air, shift my weight on either foot, commit to landing... just doesn't work for me unfortunately. Oh well, on we go to another trick. Good luck to you guys, happy learning!

    Rest, hydrate very well, and avoid fried food and any food that comes in a plastic package, whole foods only. Exercise the ankle as long as it doesn’t hurt while doing so. Don’t skate yet if it hurts to skate. That’s all you can do to allow it to heal properly.

    I've torn ligaments in my ankles several times, my first and worst was a complete rupture that stopped me skating for six months. When I started skating again I couldn't jump off obstacles to flat without sharp pains shooting up my leg. I brought some footprint insoles to see if they would make a difference and sure enough they did, now I won't skate without them. Would recommend looking into some insoles as well as resting up
