Hey Janelle, I’m so thankful for your videos! Have you considered doing one on how much you should pay yourself as a business owner? Other than your wage as an employee, how much of your business profit is it sustainable to keep for yourself? Specially at the beginning when you may not be able to make/sell enough product to pay yourself a living wage.

Hey there! I would love to do a video like that! It really comes down to how much YOU as the individual want to make. As far as in the beginning, you should BARE MINIMUM be making minimum wage and that labor should be accounted for in your pricing. I'll definitely consider doing an in-depth video on this.
Thank you!!!! You are so helpful
Janelle, can you share the calculator for expenses, paying yourself and making profit? Thank you.
I had no idea about the write offs for meals and entertainment! Thank you I’ll look more into it!

HUGE one! As long as you're talking about business over a meal, it's a write off! Within reason, of course. And obviously based on what your business can afford.
Thank you so much! Boy do I have a lot of work to do!

I would make your staff sign an NDA to protect your intellectual property
To get a business bank account you do need an EIN. Banks will not sign you up for a business account without it.
