I've been a pro Cubase user for 16 years now & have built more than a hundred PLE & LE actions, but I always learn at least one new thing when I see how others use Cubase. Thanks for this, Dom!

Please send or share with mr the PLE/LE presets. Will love simply explore. 😊
It's always fascinating to discover and understand what's under the hood of Cubase. I appreciate that everyone can choose to use it without overwhelming the UI. Dom did an excellent job explaining everything-thank you so much!
Great! Would be wonderful a complete course on Logical Editor! Super powerful tool!
Yeah Dom!!! You ALWAYS bring the heat for us!! Thank You!!!!
Thanks Dom for your so useful videos. I think you are one of the best Cubase evangelists on YT. Very clear and pratical tutorials! Keep it on! In the detail, Cubase have so many incredible functions, the Logical Editor is one of them
When i spot a new video of yours it always keeps me going! I love your inspirations. Thank you!
Dear Dom! Thank you so mutch for beatiful lessons!
Dom, Can you please do an advanced video about Cubase routing? both audio and midi
Very useful
Cant live without Logical Editor! Would like to see more LE stuff, great vid Dom!
Thanks, Dom. Always usefull and helpful videos!
Very cool!
Thanks a lot .. Dom
Amazing... just TODAY I was wondering how I could easily increment automated volume. Great timing, Dom. Thank you.
Great..!!!!!
Yeah !
well done
Dom, I tried the decrease volume preset and it works if the range selected has begining and ending points if not it decreases the whole track volume, how to limit to the selected cycle/range?
Dom can you do a video on using external synths like I’m struggling with my sub 37 and want to control it so I can quantize my playing. I can do this in other daws easy but am stuck, I can only use audio. No videos out there . Thanks man
An old or not old Tablet + TouchOSC (or any other app) + Logical Editor = a miracle!!!
Any future changes to elicenser we need to know about please?
Hello, is there anything changed for F2 (Transport Panel for Cubase Pro)? Because I can't use anymore.
Only the last 1 here is extremely useful. The rest have faster variants not using logical editor. I nearly didn't watch to the end seeing the earlier ones first... I've needed that feature a few times.

When you assign a key command/shortcut to the Logical Editor operation, it is very quick -- and easy to customise.
Great vid Dom, But why do i have nowhere near the amount of factory presets you have?
I recently saw how FL Studio works with automations, they have their own parts you can easly drag around and all of that, maybe think about adding that to cubase as well, cause I think automations would get way less complicated to work with and it shoulnd't be a big change I think
Great video, is there a command for selecting nothing. So it deselects parts or track or markercycle or events. So NOTHING is selected in the project window.

@@Strafuzz, oh I didn't know. The reason I asked is, for color coding tracks. It does not work when there is an event selected or a marker cycle. Drives me nuts 😂

@@StayFunKey yeah that’s a funny quirk
I bought cubase for full price without trying even the demo. It is just the best sounding, most complete, user friendlyst, daw ever. You can customize everything to full enjoyment. The smal things make the biggest differences. It really kick the others out of the park and i have them all. On every daw something is missing. Bitwigs piano roll and the missing customizing of the gui is drive me nuts. Studio one is ok but lacking some functions, logic dondt use vst, reaper is hackerstuff and drive my fan on my mac like crazy. Cubasebhas it all. Perfect DAW.
To add 1dB to the automations, select all and add 1dB to the volume setting on the upper left side under configuration ;) a lot quicker :p And the best part with this is that you can add / remove all the dBs you want and don't have to have different macros

Similar for Randomise Velocity. Just use the velocity window. I have V as shortcut key. Select notes, press V, press return. It will have randomised at the % you last used, want more or less simply change the % before pressing return. These 2 examples weren't great ones to use as faster variants exist without logical editor.

I find it quicker to press a key on my keyboard to do as you suggest. It takes me a little while to find the right part of the screen, find the mouse cursor, and so on. Much easier for me to select a region, and click CTRL+SHIFT and the plus or minus key, which is how I set it up.

@@LeeGee absolutely correct! It´s way fastet to use keycommands and macros without mouse click-click-clicking... I hate this mouse nonsense with my big wide TFT, too long mouse ways etc.
Cuebase should have the randomise button as humanise like other daws, but also it needs to have the ability to shift off grid as well.

a great alternative solution is to use the track inspector: here you can set values for randomizing "timing" and "velocity" e.g. With one click, or keycommand, you can bake this fixed in a midi track if you need. I use this a lot. No other daw has this.
CUT an object (removing it from original track), CREATE a new track (Clean with no buses), PASTE that object there, is it possible? (I can duplicate "selected" tracks, and to the new track remove every bus and ccleaving just the object.... but then, as you can't de-select the original tracks with key commands, all following commands apply to them too). -- I need this because I am using an input track with guitar pedals and and fx chain to record different hardware synths, so I record one, and then, patch another one....)
I love Cubase, almost all of it, but I came here to hopefully solve what I, and many others, have encountered over the years, and that is to either find an existing, or set up a way to have simply ONE keystroke to "Hide All Automation", either a macro, or whatever,. I know how to do it with the (cunningly hidden) track arrow, or the (also amazingly mysterious) Project/Track Folding/Toggle Track method. Is it really too much to ask for just one key assignment so we don't have to hunt around for it? I mean, I do this probably five hundred times a day, and I suspect I have SPENT hundreds of hours of my life over the years. It's such a common operation, but it is, at least by default, an uncommonly difficult thing to do in Cubase. I hope I have somehow missed it! I know I am not the only one who would greatly welcome this. Please, is there a way?
03:15 WTF is "very challenging" about this ? :D Dude you literally did it in 1-2 Seconds
i think steinberg should replace logical editor with a.i. editor so could be much easier to use it.i have to say i do not use logical editor because i find it very difficult to understand it.just saying 🙂🙂
It's a real shame it doesn't add the automation data when using the decrease/increase volume command so I can simply then select my chorus tracks and increase them for impact etc.. It needs automation data there first.
