The more music theory I hear, the more mathematical it sounds.

Music and math are closely related, after all. Some go so far as to say music IS math. 👍

@italkcrab that seems to be right because I suck at math and am good at identifying pattern recognitions.
Out of 100's of music theory videos I've watched, this one is among the best. I'll be studying the ideas and sharing it with all my friends! Cheers mate 👍 🍻
That was briefly one of the best and informative jazz harmony lessons I have ever seen.
This is so useful. Thank you so much for such videos!
Wow, this is such a helpful way of providing an overview of how harmony can be developed further! I particularly love the animated diagrams showing what you're playing and where the chords come from.
Thank you so much for that incredible insights, Wonderboy! Love the calm and clear presentation. Your skills are amazing, all the best!
This is awesome. What a great breakdown of fairly complex concepts. I’ve been struggling through chord melody concepts for 30 years. Not a single guitar teacher I ever had was able to break it down like this. This combined with your melody harmonization videos will give me a lot to work on. Thank you for posting all of this amazing content!
This boosted everyone's knowledge. Those people like me stuck on what to study next. Thank youuuuuuuu!
You are a superb music instructor. Thank you!!
That’s amazing! I’ll keep watching it and practicing. Thanks for your great efforts. Appreciate lots!
I've always wondered whether people say my music is boring whenever they yawn while I play. They say "keep playing" though, so maybe they like it. Now I know why. I like basing my songs on C-F-G and playing around them. This just makes me want to study more music theory in the future. Thanks Lucas!
Great work and presentation, your charts really help simplify the increasingly complexity of the harmony shown.
Maravilloso Lucas! Uno de los videos que mas disfruté, gracias!!
Level 4 sounds amazing.

What a lesson!! Absolutely fantastic! Grazie 🙏
Wow you are amazing, I loved how you made this video with the levels.
Jäklar i min lilla lådda. Det känns som om det finns tillräckligt med uppslag och idéer att utforska i bara den här videon för de kommande 3-4 åren. Grym du är!
This was the best explanation of harmony I have ever seen 🤯🤯
This is one of the best videos I have ever watched in my life. I mean, literally.
This is the type or kind of lesson I need! Thanks maestro.😍
I've been doing a year of music theory now and you are the first to make me think about modal interchange.
I miss all of these in university. I'm so lucky that I was able to learn some from a local Professor who is a Berklee graduate. Jazz is around the world. Thanks for this video. It's a memory for me
Wuauuu!!! Brutal explicación. La mejor que he oido y visto nunca. Gracias maestro!! You are the best . Thank you.
Everything about this video is masterful. Well done!
Fantastic lesson! Thanks Lucas!
Dude that is awesome bro thanks for your time and expertise!!🙏🏻
I've never seen a better explanation on this topic. Just amazing!
Maybe the best guitar lesson on youtube.
Impressive! It was possible to understand between 3&4 lvl, but lvl 5. It was...wow! Amaizing!!! Genius 🤯
Great insight how to improve . Thanks thanks for share Lucas.
hey Lucas. Great work. I caught your "different kinds of classical guitarists" vid a while back, which was hilarious. I didn't realize you had this content, too! LOVE that you touched on Barry Harris a bit. Great stuff

I think it's amazing the way you explain many year of study in a video. I hope reach this level some day.
Thank you! This was so awesome!
Amazing stuff thanks so much Maestro!
This clip and the level 2 demo brings me back to what someone told me about learning music: Focus on a good sound and not great technique as one can obscure the other.
Enjoying your playing and lessons.
Level 3 is the sweet spot for me: very digestable, but still interesting
@caralho5237

Its because hes purposefully filling the melody with different chords to show the theory, but you could apply those concepts to only part of the music and get a simpler but still interesting song

Level 2 is good enough for me. Level 3 is still enjoyable, but beyond that just extra noises.
Really good job Lucas! thank u!

thank you, for the great class of harmony!
Thank you 🙏, this is something I lve been trying to figure out in my head but don't know how to explain. This will guide me well
Wow thanks a lot Lucas !!
I know most of those concepts even the 6th dim.... to put something together fluently like you did is art
This is brilliant!
Thank you for this experience ❤
Really great Video. Helped me alot coming into Jazz
Really excellent and years of stuff to explore from here
Regardless of the time that passes and what I am learning, these videos continue to surprise me, amazing. Also, based on the video, I understand up to level 4 of harmony, and in the technical section I am level 0.5, perfect.
Great video, thanks again!

What a class! Thank you so much!
Beautiful and wonderful!
Amazing, starting with level 3. Awesome.
I love that the top level is just called "Barry Harris". Thank you for putting him where he deserves to be. More and more people are discovering his approach these days it seems.
Great tutorial, continue this way of creating content
Level 1-2: Pfff, I got this... -Blink- Level 3-5: put back the guitar on the wall...
Thank you! Very useful my friend. Now if I can everyone in my cover band to go along!

Me who started playing about a year ago: Tonic…. That goes with gin right?
That's fucking amazing!, kudos to you👍🏻
Remember that one line from the Dire Straits song Sultans of Swing? "Check out Guitar George he knows all the chords." Well, Lucas, you are not only what I like to call a Guitar George, but you ALSO have that music conservatory education-type classical mastery. So, yeah, 3,000 chords? I do not doubt it.
Great video!👍
Amazing!
Thank you ❣️
Awesome!
Seriously dude. You. Are. The. Man!
