When you said take photos in coffee shops, I paused the video, looked around, and instantly took a nice photo in the coffee shop I'm in. Tanks! :D

Well said, Sam. One of your better, if not best, videos. It’s nice to see you open up and show us more of who you really are. Maybe you should try to insert more of the “philosophy” of street and other photography genres into regular posts. I would like to hear more of your thoughts. Cheers. And Happy Holidays to all!!!

Thank you Richard! It‘s great to hear that you enjoyed the video and my philosophy talk. I definitely want to do another video like this and talk more about the philosophical side of street photography. Happy Holidays to you too! :-)
Nice. What we can learn here is staying friendly, staying relaxed, slowing down, being consistent. There is not a single moment where you see a flurry of activity. I don't see that Sam is in hurry to go somewhere. That brings him excellent photos.
Samuel, it is clear your lessons are well worth sharing and are appreciated. I am an old-time street historian, shooting to help me remember life in a time capsule. When I go back and look at my old photographs, I feel transformed back in time.
Deeply encouraging! Thanks for sharing, Samuel!
oh yes we want part two, please!!
Great job Samuel, please do create a part 2 of this video! You bring out the essence of photography in this one and the life lessons that help emphasize the “Feeling” of a photo and how to capture life. Great job. My favorite shot from this was the 2 individuals in wheelchairs taking selfies…..Beautiful!
I chuckled loud with the "When I'm in a coffee shop with my wife and my husband --- " part!!!! I love it HAHAHAHAHAHA *soooo raw! Thanks for the laugh! Besides that, I'm so happy I stumbled upon this....I was doing events for 2 yrs now and I'm drained. I'm hoping to do street photography again and I'm hoping to find light to do it again. Thank you for this tips! Helped me get inspired!
I’ve been doing street photography for 40 years. I do it because I love it. I feel in my element and I feel like I am the artist. Love, love, love street photography ❤❤❤❤
"We almost look like we are hunting, which we are" so relatable. So easy to get "hunter eyes" scanning for subjects. Then I try to chill, enjoy the atmosphere and lighten up a bit. Great video.
Congratulations on your 10th year of doing street! On to the next 10! And a part 2 would be much appreciated! Blessing to you and your family Samuel!

Thank you Reuel! Many blessings to you as well :) Appreciate your comment.
Thank you so much for this video, as it hits the mark in so many ways! Take care, Loren
I really liked the thoughts you shared with this one. I had thought it would be more basic tips and tricks but you quickly went philosophical, and in a good way! These thoughts are best delivered in a way that's not too serious or self-important, and I think you handled it just right.
It is important to blend in, I fully agree that when you are in a bad mood do something else that fits your mood. When the crowd rejoice you should sing and dance with the crowd. I think that is the best way not only to capture but also to enjoy the moment
Very nice video, Samuel. I'd love a part 2. Love seeing your work!
Nice one. Thanks Sam. Yeah a part 2 would be nice. Take care.
Thank you. I needed that.
I'm just starting my journey with an old second-hand Lumix but I'm loving it! Your videos are inspiring and so easy to watch and listen to. I would love to have a part 2 of this video Good luck and keep inspiring!
One incredible video, Sam. Especially appreciated lessons 4 and 5, your photographs, and afterword. Thanks so much!
Talent, sincerity and your ability to communicate marks you as my favourite street advisor. Thanks and Happy Christmas.
Much enjoyed. Yes, a part 2 of this would be great!
Well said!! Urgently need a part 2!!!
In awe of your moustache 😍
….is a privilege!
You have made a great video to illustrate these 5 simple lessons. Lesson number 4 resonates with me very much. Thank you from a new subscriber. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
A really interesting video with a very positive message! And some really great photos, of course.. Thanks as always!
Samuel you are wonderful! :-) looking forward to part 2
I am so glad I find your channel... Thank You!
Congrats on 10 years! Your list sure speaks to me. Thank you.
Loved your ‘watch this space’ imitation!
Very wise words Samuel. I’ve been doing street photography for 10 years now. The insoles are so important. It’s all about capturing our time here and in 20-30 years our photos will show a very different time of place. We are the visual historians of the future. Oh and coffee is the life blood of any street photographer. Talking about coffee it’s time for mine. Well done Samuel, great video..
This really is an excellent video and one of my favorites on your channel.
Your best video so far! Really liked how you approached the subject. I agree it’s very important to interact with the people on the streets, if you want to connect with the subjects. It makes the photos better and more meaningful as well.
What a great gift pre Christmas. These lessons all apply to having a beautiful life too! So yes please to part 2 🎉
This is such a simple, yet insightful and entertaining video presentation. I really did enjoy you sharing your thoughts😊
Thanks Sam, your philosophy and program seem very solid indeed. I think I'll adopt it myself! Your channel was one of the first I found when taking up photography again (during the pandemic). This was a nice video, very nice. The downward tele shot in Lesson 4 was cool, where the street was the subject and you looked like a little toy! Hats off to your videographer...! So, as we say in Germany, Thank you for everything you've done this year. Please keep being nice to us in the next year. And do have a very good year in 2023!
Of course, Part 2!. Great video. Help me a lot. Thanks
Thank you, much appreciated. A part II would be really good to see.
I’ve been wondering what you do when you’re in the coffee shop with your wife and your husband…this video finally answers that question for me. Thanks

Thank you for sharing. You are a true inspiration. I would love to see a part 2. And 3. And 4...
Thank you Samuel! I stumbled upon your video during the pandemic and it inspired me to try street photography and take black and white photos. That time I don't have a proper camera so I use my old phone. Now I have the original fuji x100. I'm in love with the process, it teach me to slow down. Again, thank you very much! 😁
Many thanks for your honest sharing. ^^
this is a very good video. loved the end with the truthful way of telling the story of your city. keep up the mission.
Wonderful! A delightful blend of philosophical motivation and introspection as well as practicality (the insoles suggestion is spot on - as a full day of city exploration can be basically be a marathon).

One of my favorite videos this year! Here’s to another 10 years brotha~ 🎉
Great video. You are a very sympathetic personality. Especially lession 5 comes from a great wisdom and motivated me to think about my photography and life itself. Thanks for that. And yes a second video about this topic is highly appreciated..
Thank you, very useful!

Great video. Thanks for charing
Thanks for charing your story Sam, it's really inspiring! Would love to see a part two! Just got my first ever Richo GR IIIx and was trying it out trough a weekend in Gothenburg, Sweden. Love the small size which made me take photos that I wouldn't been able to take if I didn't bring such a small and compact camera with me :) Keep it up, cheers!
Thank you for this, its good to remember street photography is fun. That Lost in Translation reference threw me back as well! Part would be welcome indeed!
Good advice. More would be nice too. Thanks

Very nice genuine video .subscribed
Thanks Samuel. Yes please, part two.
This was a great end of year video, I think the question of "why" we do our chosen photography is a great question. I can feel my reason changing this year but something I want to think over to hopefully narrow my work for the future

Really interesting talk (especially point 5). I wish you well in your future endeavors.

Hehe will make one for sure! Thanks man.
Great tips these ones are certainly very very advance it shows that you have a maturity in your photography craftmanship, no technical stuff only the essence of photography which to me is the most important part when you have some year looking deeply into photography. Hope that one day I will do a video like these one. Thank you for sharing!
