Have you not heard the tale of JACKSONTHRILLER ? he was the smoothest criminal around. People said one crouch grab was enough to make people bow to him but one day he just vanished no one knows where he is now just a house and a Silver Car that's all he left behind. You should absolutely see the Star Wars Old Republic lore. It was made by collaboration with Bioware and Lucasfilm and combined all the Star War Old Republic novels (some of which are even canon today, like Darth Bane). kzread.info/dash/bejne/daJtwciiYNCZf7Q.html Then you should absolutely play Star Wars KOTOR 1 and KOTOR 2.

I love the Zann Consortium so much. There's just something so satisfying about playing with a bottomless bag of dirty tricks. A favorite tactic of mine was to have defilers strap a bunch of explosives to a cloaked F9-TZ transport and roll the thing into the enemy base.

They where an alliance of neighborhoods and swoop gangs who came together for protection after the the great Galactic War. Their saying was "better a Black sun, than none" they quickly grew into a galactic spanning shadow Empire.

I really like the Kotor II version of the exchange. They're so powerful that it seems like the actual crime part of their criminal empire is an afterthought. Goto reminds me more of the Metal Gear Solid series' Patriots than a mafia organisation like the Hutts.

Let’s not forget the Bando Gora. I think there a little underrated they actually did a lot and even got so bad that Sidious himself ordered there down fall fearing they would “disrupt” his long term plan.

Don’t forget that they caused such a problem that Dooku himself had to hire out two fearsome Mandalorians and eventually, taking matters into his own hands in order to take out the Bando Gora (Komari Vosas chaos would’ve uproot the counts plans for the upcoming war)

The Zan Consortium, the most broken faction I've ever seen in a game, especialy from my perspective as a Rebel player in Empire at War. Their space units are a pain in the ass that hove to be countered in a very precise way if you want to have a chance and on the ground unless you have a massive army with lots of T4-B's, you're pretty much fucked. And dont get me started on their planitary corruption ability, that shit is not fair and lets the consortium build fleets of battlecruisers even if they only control a handful of planets, and then send them anywhere they please, bypasing your carefully planned defences with no effort. Only way to counter it is to dedicate 90% of your economy to removing corruption as it apears. Yeah, there is a reason that when I play Forces of Corruption I target the Consortium almost exclusively.

In SWTOR there is the exchange, I never knew about these guys, it is a surprise for sure but a welcomed one

What we need next is a series depicting a star wars criminal underworld/organized crime and the mobsters of the galaxy , for example gang wars between the Hutt Cartel , Pyke Syndicate & The Black Sun , like a star wars scorcese type mafia star wars , that would be freaking awesome broski

I would have put Black Sun at #2 and Hutts at #1 because the Hutts have more control, power, and influence.

Hey Ecks, I'd really like to see a video that at least touches on Xim The Despot. I seem to recall reading a Han Solo trilogy years ago, where Han and Chewie were in the Corporate Sector Authority, hiding from the Empire. In one of the books, they end up on a backwater world, with primitive tech, and a supposed hidden treasure that had belonged to Xim. That whole saga might bear having a video made, because I know next to nothing about the Corporate Sector, and the idea of this warlord with a vast empire outside of Old Republic space, and pre dating the Old Republic is pretty cool. The book talked about the archaic ancient spaceships of Xim's fleet, so maybe a video detailing ancient tech would be cool too

Glad I was able to immediately guess 3 out of 5 by reading the title... Didn't think of the smugglers because they're considered as good guys most of the times, and didn't know about Zann as I never played Empire at War.

The Arachnids were alot like the Yuuzan Vong to be honest. So the New Republic would have struggled, if not outright lost, while the Empire would most likely have won.

Revan would be decimated. largely cause he has an inherently inferior force coming from thousands of years ago, and that it was internal more prone to self destruction, that ol malgus betraying Revan thing... and all that. Sideous and Vader have a better not killing each other over poloticts moving relationship. although I could see the invasion force of Revans Empire galvantizing all of the pacified Dogs of Sideous to make a break for it. Jerec Cabaoth, Sedris.... the like. be interesting. but final goal is can Revan get a group enough together to destroy plaptine and then handle the destabiling of the empires fractioning? not touching upon histories though. cause Palpatine and their ilk probably studied Revan back in the day.

Might've given Shadow Collective a shoutout at least, though they may fall between criminal organization and government I myself would say that they're more like the Zann Consortium, an organization which is primarily criminal or composed of criminals which happens to also have Galactic ambitions.

Pretty sure the exchange was around even during the original trilogy...just never got explored in that time period. I think somewhere in my copy of the Complete Visual Dictionary it talks about a member of Jabba's court being a spy for the local Exchange boss.

I agree with your picks. Though if I had to pick a team, I would go with the Pyke Syndicate. I like them because they are far more mellow then other crime organizations who seem to preform greedy acts just for the sake of being greedy. I would have to wear a filtered helmet though. All the spice they smoke would make me gag.

Super-corporations would be cool to see comparisons of. Especially those like our real world East India Company which ruled vast territories for profit. So Czerka, Trade Federation etc

I'd say the ranking on this list depends heavily on the era. At the height of its power, each of these organizations was number one in the galaxy in its time. The Hutts probably deserve number one overall, just because their organization descended from a literal galactic empire of their own.

I'm not sure that the Pyke Syndicate counts as Legends. Their first appearance was on Clone Wars. Otherwise, yeah, they would be on the list.

You just know there were some people who are overly passionate about the Empire who, without the disclaimer at the beginning, would have watched the video fully just so they could comment "You forgot the Rebel Alliance."

its been awhile, i know, but still. Imo the Zann-Consortium should be number 1. They had meddlings on EVERY planet in the known Galaxy, and where the only ones on to control multiple starsystems completely. They also had an Alliance with dathomir-Witches and they had top of the line Military equipment, the best corvette in the rating video, the Keldabe-Battleship, even the Aggressor and the Vengeance calss were great

I'd love a Shadows of the Empire show. A movie was once planned but later scrapped.

I don't know if they count as 'illegal' but I feel like the Bounty Hunters Guild could get an honorable mention. Another honorable mention would be the Stark Commercial Combine. Although Stark's criminal group was short lived, it probably lasted about as long as Tyber Zahn's organization. The Bando Gora might also count for their assassination and drug businesses. They are unlike the Nightsisters despite similar dark side leanings because of the profit driven nature of their organization. Jorj Car'das might be worth a mention. His smuggling empire was powerful enough to swallow up rivals like Booster Terrik, and was basically a forerunner of the Smugglers Alliance that Talon Karrde formed once Car'das disappeared, built from the organization that Car'das originally founded.
