Every item you listed, I see myself buying for my new place. I didn't know there are so many all-in-one appliances in the market. I assume they'll last for years, so it would be worth the investment. a video I didn't know I needed! thank you for this Alex!
Any kitchen appliances that you feel strongly about good/bad to share? 👩🍳👨🍳

I bought the airbot airfryer at shopee for $40. Cheap and does the job! I agree all airfryer are relatively the same just like any microwave. I love to see more of your home products!
Getting a lot of useful and relevant info from your channel, keep up the great work man!

Steamer is good to have as you can cook healthy food plus heat up. Microwave heat up tends to dry up the food but steamer really does the job well just take it takes about 10 mins instead of 3. The cons is Juz that steamer add more liquid to your food. Pressure cooker is a must as it really saves time

yeah totally agree.. good tips there seline
I'm using Sharp microwave convection oven, it quite useful as my current house didn't come with built in oven. Beside it's microwave function, I use it for baking also, quite useful eventhough at first I found that it can't bake evenly like a dedicated oven, only the inner side that turn brown, the side near the door usually not too well cooked (not too brown in color), but I found a solution for that, just use the microwave tray that spins, it will make the cake bake evenly.

This is interesting. In my current house, I do have a mircowave oven with baking function and a traditional oven. I experienced same issues when baking in microwave, seems that inside is not baked yet, but surface is already brown, that's make me go back to traditional oven. I'm seriously considering if I could get a built in oven. One big issues is that the area where the heat is disperse, it's normal from behind / beside the oven which may cause harm for both the oven / carpentry work in long term as heat is "trapped" inside the cupboard.

@@charleshuang1130 my built in oven EF brand exhausts the hot air from the frontal of of the oven so it doesn't affect my carpentry much.
I have a 5-in-1 'appliance'.. the chinese wok ;) however your content and evaluation is TOPS!! 👏

The LG multi function is quite good! I had used to grill chicken. It really grill quite well with some crisps. But the timing to grill is much more longer, for a small piece of katsu, it took about 25 mins. I’ve tried to microwave today & it really became small like microwave dried food. Otherwise I use a glass dishware to cook the items. I’ve tried to microwave don donki food in their packages, so far is ok! Or maybe the duration is not long.
Consider the preethi blenders. They have a good longlasting motor, and powerful enough to make hummus and can blend or grind dry n wet spices without having to add water.

Best purchase in 2020 during Covid was a Thermomix 6. Pricey but really could do many things. The online recipe also offer a step by step cooking process a beginner can comfortably follow.

i used to own a tiger steamboat pot and switch to the "elephant" brand after going for a steamboat at my friend's place. it really does keep the soup base hot while not evaporate super fast and needing to top up the soup so frequently, maybe that's why u find the cooking speed slower than other pots.

I think ninja should sponsor you. Hahah. My multi function microwave is not good for steaming but okay for the rest. As for the steamboat I feel it is better to use induction stove with hotpot pot. I dun have air fryer because I feel my mirco wave grill good enough.

Hi Alex. For the Zojirushi steamboat. May I check what is the model no.? Is it EP-RAQ30?
Thanks for sharing all these handy kitchen appliances ! Have you tried thermomix before ? Would like to know what is your thought on thermomix please ? I'm a little confused on whether to get all these appliances separately or to get a thermomix which can do most of jobs >.

haha yeah that's why i get it, let me know whether you face the same issues as me
I also have one of those multi function microwave but indeed in the end we just use it for normal microwave and heating up food. I think the reason is because the instructions for using the different functions is too complicated Or require too many steps. Another reason is also because it doesn’t have a temperature dial so can’t set certain temp for microwaving and baking. Also what do you think of those steamboat and grill combo sets? The ones that you can use for both at the same time. We are thinking of getting but not sure if useful?
@AlexTeo
3 жыл бұрын
ya you are right, too complicated microwave! i used to have the steamboat and grill combo type, won't recommend and usually its either very small pot or very small grill area and also heat distribution problem
I didn't know there are pressure cookers like that. I use the big pot on the stove kind.
how about your rice cooker? i personally like toshiba's rice cooker that has stoneware pot and multiple functions and you can set timer also, very convenient.

I find that the microwave reheats refrigerated leftover food unevenly or makes its texture rubbery . I now use my steam oven instead - reheated leftovers come out with the “freshly cooked” texture and taste, which is so much more enjoyable to eat! I don’t remember the last time I used my microwave 🤣

don't keep it too long in the storage, have to use it at least every few months, if not the heat element will spoilt/rusty/whatever and cause electrical trip in your house, this also applies to oven/built-in oven that long time never been used.
