Todays book review is about Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer. In this short book review is summarize the book and share my main takeaways. Christopher Mccandless story fascinating and this nonfiction book reads like fiction. It a really good story, and it makes you think about civilization and the rat race in a new way.
"happiness only real when shared"
A non fiction classic about a guy that decided to ditch society for the wilderness. I listened to Into the wild as an audiobook and it was a really good experience

I've heard of this book and film, Into the Wild, I know his reasons behind doing what he did but he was completely unprepared. I'll probably pass on reading it. I did like your video description of it and takeaways too.

Awesome! I wish you could've licensed the music and put it into your video :) But man the moment I saw the movie I was infatuated by the way of his thinking. It really matched with my way of thinking. But I was disappointed at the end. Cause I thought now leaving your comfort zone might come up with something amazing at the end but death was all there is. It's funny that I had some argue with my father about this movie. ( I was the proponent and he was the opposite :) Just like every father except you maybe😅

I can’t wait to have those discussions with my son. And yeah, the soundtrack and cinematography of that movie is incredible. I’ve seen it two times and I can’t only say that for a handful of movies.

Into the wild has been sitting on my shelf for a while. It is interesting that he thinks happiness can only be shared with others when there is whole cultures that say happiness is only found within ie Buddhism

Yes! That’s the thing with the quote. It’s quite unlike the philosophy that guided him out in the wilderness. But at the point of starvation, facing his own demise, this was his sentiment... desperation? Or enlightenment? Who knows? Check out the book! It’s great!
