Appreciate it! I don’t have the looks so I have to rely on the humor 🤣🤣
Antlers are way cool. I love them all.
My Grandfather was using this method back in the early 80's we still have Plexiglas jigs at home on the ranch in his wood shop.

I’ve become better at taking notes as I’ve gotten older… my brain just works differently 🤣🤣
I am justwondering with regards to the "finger hole. on your boards. I find it a bit easier to just drill a "center hole" in the template. That way I can use a Forstner bit or a hole saw to vary the overall hole size when I "feel the need"...😎😎 .
I've been using plexiglass for templates for about a year, but would like to see another video as you mentioned showing more uses. Thanks for the good video!

What size bandsaw blade do use as far as Tpi? Thanks
Just checked on the boiled linseed oil - you probably need to be using something food grade on your cutting boards - I might not be reading the can you are using from correctly but if I am boiled linseed has chemicals added to it and should not be used for food grade wood products. Bees wax and mineral oil is good - Love the template idea and the cutting boards are very pretty. :)

Boiled linseed oil is non-toxic, eco friendly and food safe! Bees wax and mineral oil are great too!
for a beginner and not wanting to break the bank, what are the for sure needed tools. i have a 20w laser engraver, a old table saw, miter saw, cheap router

Sounds like you’ve got everything you need at the moment to make the boards in the video 👍🏻
what thickness of plexyglass do you use for templates?
@TheReformationWoodshop

1/4” or thicker works best. 👍🏻

My plexi was 3/8. You can get away with 1/4 but it tends to develop cracks.
You should have more subs. Got one from me

Are you making the cutting boards yourself or buying them all ready made

I’m making them myself. 👍🏻
How can I make a small kitchen island without all the tools you have?
@TheReformationWoodshop

That is a good question. You’ll need a few tools to build anything, even if they aren’t the ones I have. You absolutely need something to cut wood, any kind of saw will work. You’ll also need something to join wood, a drill and screws is preferable over a hammer and nails. And you’ll need a sander to finish the job.

My son in law made a very nice island using only a circular saw, an electric screwdriver, and a sander out of 2x3's and and 1x2's for a bottom shelf. He topped it off with a prefab butcher block top. Simple and functional.
How much do you sell your cutting boards for?
