I think there's another easter egg in this game where one of the prison cells on the republic ship has the same number as Princess Leia cell in A New Hope. Other then easter eggs can you also do videos on things you can unlock or do with cheat codes in star wars games.

When you go to rescue Tarrful, you're told he's being kept in cell number 2187, as a reference to the cell Leia was kept in in episode 4, nice touch.

Notably, before the start of the Clone Wars, Jango Fett would personally train the first batch of Alpha class ARC troopers for the Republic on Kamino. Fett instilled these clones with Mandalorian values, including having each clone memorize the Vode An. Other clones, including Clone Commandos, were taught the Vode An by their various Mandalorian trainers. In the mission where you destroy the factory, you can hear the advisor say the36's squad is incapacitated and Delta needs to finish the job or something along those lines. 36 is Darman from Omega squad/Theta squad

I would say the lightsaber belonged to a padawan, the clone was defending the padawan, was killed, and the padawan was captured and taken to those trandoshan hunting grounds from the clone wars, but that’s just me.

Cool theory

The "Clone" next to the lightsaber could actually be the Jedi it belongs to. This game was made after Obi-Wan wore full clone armor in the Clone Wars miniseries and before the Disney Series, so could easily be a Jedi who also chose to wear Clone armor, albeit without a cape.

if I remember correctly in the acclamator mission if you destroy the friendly turrets before hand and go back after a clone says something like "how did you know?"

If Republic commando does well on PS4 and switch, will we get the sequels to the game. (Imperial commando and rebel commando)

Another easter egg in Republic Commando is that when Scorch is captured, he is held in a cell numbered 2187, the same number of the cell that Leia was being held in

All these little details and Easter eggs add to the fact that this is still one of the best Star Wars games of all time. Also, I believe that Republic Commando may be the only (or at least one of the few) SW games of old that could still be considered canon, because it doesn’t really change anything canon or story wise (unlike, for example, Jedi Knight series or The Force Unleashed).

Thanks to TCW and TBB the whole game is canon. Clone wars showed us delta squad, making them canon.

The PC had a mod where you could use it.

I like to believe that the clone with the lightsaber is just reference to trooper glitch from the comics. If that's true it would be a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

Joclad Danva is played by Kyle Rowling, one of the stunt coordinators for Episodes II and III! He's a stage combat specialist and he's also a really cool dude :D I've met him a few times at Combat Con as well as training events with my fencing master :D

Also I encountered this during the mission “saving the ship” in the hangers I heard scorch say “hey it’s the droids we’re looking for! Which is an obvious reference to a new hope.

In this game i find out many lines that later were use on star wars clone series, i dont remember all of them but one that i do is "So much for stealth" said by 62 most part of times and this same line was Use by Captain Rex to Anakin skywalker in season 7 when they were on Tambor Facility, and Recker just advance to destroy all those droids

I don't care that i know all of these i just love hearing more about republic commando

one of the best easter egg is in kotor 2 when hk-47 talks about how to kill a jedi and kinda mention order 66 -overwhelming odds is also a good tactics master, there are few jedi that can long hold their ground against a houndred attackers all firing at once or being turned on by their own troops

As someone who’s played through Republic commando a number of times (5, maybe more) I’ve only seen the speeder bike and saber Easter eggs. It was cool to see such subtle Easter eggs in a game that holds a special place in my heart. Liked and subbed, great vid man. I’ve probably heard that Sev line before, I guess I just chalked it up to Sev being Sev.

Hey bombastic, I know I’m late but if you need some ideas you should do a video about the cheat codes in the game. One of them allows you to faze through walls and explore the map

I love the proscuter level

Nah when you have to escape the ship within 5 minutes is harder than that hanger. I had so much trouble with that mission as a kid was stuck on it forever. Having replayed the game as an adult though yes its a tedious mission but not impossible. Although the hanger is difficult too.

bombastic you should look at cheat codes in republic commando for example if you type in ghost you can fly around the map and find more easter eggs

The point of it is to destroy one of the droid dispensers unless you blow it up before hand

You can activate that speeder to destroy that droid drop pod when it lands, I did it on my first play through completely by accident. Didn’t even fully know what I did at first.

That death trap speeder can be used to destroy the shield... Something something. You'll get quite a few ways of beating the droids and their hangers. Destroy the hanger shield in time before the clankers get tgrough. Can save you a lot of effort.

You can also input names into the pool for ship names, like say every ship in the US Navy since 1910 if you want to have all to those name show up.

So something really cool about this game, cause I originally played it on pc and on the og Xbox. On pc you could open the chat window for online play, and type in commands for flying and basically godmode. There was definitely a lot of things I found hours and hours of that, if you could get your hands on the pc version. In all the kinda ish cut scenes in the beginning you could fly around and see all the details

Blackout studios almost had a remaster complete but when Disney took over LF shut'em down. I believe there's test footage on youtube.

"did you know you can actually find a lightsaber?" ...guess everybody and their Mom knew that.

I played this game when it first came out on Xbox, like old Xbox, and now I have it on switch and was pleased to find I still had the ability to kill supers trando elites before they could even make a proper stand. My secret? Flash bangs on trandos and spam emps on supers

Something i found at the beginning or the half of the acclamator level is that on one fuel tank or what ever it is is not the symbol of the republic but of the Empire i dont know if anyone else noticed it

Now that Lucas Films exists in real space again. I think making a series of canon games that fit together like the movies would be amazing. I always thought having an RPG story rich game like Fallout or something but in the Star Wars universe would be dope, like maybe in the Old Republic? Or maybe a series where you play as different characters living the events of the movies from different areas. Preferably playing as a Clone Trooper/ARC Trooper/Clone Commando on an Outer rim world during the events of the Clone Wars/Episode 3. Then have a sequel where you play as a Storm Trooper/Rebel during the events of the OG trilogy.

7:04 Sev said that on the mission where you have to shoot a tree branch down to block off some droids (that's all I remember) when I entered he said the exact line

As a kid I played this but never finished it because I was stuck on that one mission where u plant the bomb and leave. It was hard :(

The slicer clone from delta squad has a voice line that says "Nothing can get past my L33t Hax0r skills" That's a common meme or gaming reference. Maybe look into that @Bombastic ?

I found the lightsaber one !! I finished that game so many times, definitely one of my all time favorite SW games.

In Spider-Man PS4 one of the sable agents says fn2187 reporting for duty

there its actually a easter egg i never hear its been talking about in this game, if you kill de trandoshan who activates the turrets and you save the clone troopers you can hear lines of boss and the clones speaking.

When I watched you play the game and you were at the spot with the lightsaber you were so close to finding it but that stupid scav droid made you change your mind xD

The bandolier reference isn't as dark as you'd think. Sev actually says this when they are going to take back a marketplace so he's actually talking about buying one.

I found that lightsaber when I played the game with no intentions of searching for easter eggs

So there is actually a hidden extra squad mate. I've been trying to find something that talks about it but I can't seem to find it. When I played on the original Xbox you could Unlock Delta Infiniti. But it was broken. It would appear on your squad health list but it would be glitches in walls and stuff like.

Delta 00! Theres a video showing it on here that was posted 8 or so years ago! The guys figured out how to replicate it a couple years ago.. something to do with having multiple saved games and playing multiplayer!

Easiest way to kill him is use your flash bang grenades and snipe him in the face a couple times.

I’ve played commando a few time you know that place on the ship with 8 turret in the hallway with battle droid I heard on of the commandos say those are the droids were looking for

I like the funny translations from the creator's language. i guess they wanted to have fun using the language since no one can understand it
