Did you know that there were 10,000 clone commandos ever produce and almost half of them died on geonoses. That explains Sev's blood markings. Another thing did you know there was supposed to be a republic commando 2, it was supposed to focus on Sev's survival on Kayyyshic

@@skeletor4436 sorry for the confusion. RC game and novel came first, then Filoni and George decided the novels should be scrapped, then came TCW, then etc. I guess I mixed novels and the game together(cuz I love Omega Squad hehe)

@@Jedi_Master_Kenobi Darman (the commando who has an illicit relationship with a failed Jedi Padawan) has a really compelling and interesting story. I highly recommend reading all of Karen Traviss' Republic Commando books to find out what happens. They're riveting reads.

In the original SW Battlefront game, you could order 2 AI to follow you around. They wouldn't follow you super close, but would tag along if you moved from one Command Post to another. In the Original SW Battlefront 2 Game, you could order AI to follow you, but the # of AI that would follow you at one time was correlated to your rank. There was a rank system tied with your account. Don't quote me on the names, but there were 4 levels: Recruit, Sgt, Captain, Commander. At Level 4, the top rank, you could order 4 to follow you around. When you moved from point to point they would stick in close formation to you, and when you ran into enemies, they would spread out and attack. If you stopped at a position they would fall out of formation and take up limited defensive positions. I would play Galactic Republic and lead my squad of Clones in. Sooo much fun. It was great when you were a Commando (back in SBF2 they were the Red clones, now known as Galactic Marines, with Chainguns) and you led around 4 other commandos. It was super OP.

Seeing Republic Commando footage blows my mind because I remember those graphics being top notch realistic lol

Dice should replace the repulser blast with the sniper attachment. Would be way more useful.

I’ve lost about 5 fiends saying Gregor is my favorite commando. And I still stand by it. He’s one of 3 freaking clones to survive the clone wars.

For the longest time, I thought he died in the explosion...I forgot his name, when I saw him again in Rebels, I didn't know he was that commando, but because of this vid, I have a new reason to smile.

Fun fact: Geonosians were not the only ones who could lose their heads. There are clones in "The Ghost Ship" mission where you traverse a republic ship and while you travel through finding clone corpses you can find helmets by bodies. One particular scene you walking through a shaft where below you can see two clones moving in on a trandoshan and you see a helmet roll in your sight but no body.

Did you know that the clone who say I have special commando units on.... (I don't know more) is Ponds??

Man. The DC-17m is probably my favorite plasma based blaster in Star Wars. It's got the normal repeating blaster config along with a sniper, shotgun, grenade anti-armor, missile anti-armor, and even a Tibana gas variant of all configs.

Some cool detail I've found about Commandos in the menu is that if you turn your music off and listen to the sounds they make in their little animation you can hear them say something, it's muffled but I believe they say "the operation is cancelled" because I believe that's the hand signal they make

Well really the Empire gave the clones two options. Either they could retire, or they could train the new recruits into stormtroopers. Granted some where made into kill squads for hunting jedi. Also can't believe you skimmed over clone 99's heroic bravery and sacrifice at the battle of Kamino.

Why developers do not make a separate storyline offline (or not) mode for 4 players (or for a player and 3 bots). The plot is a standard mission, as in “Republic Commando”. Well, or take the plot of the game in 2005 and just add it to Battlefront 2017🤔

I already played as the commando and funny thing is that using the repulser blast makes the same animation as the force push if the enemy got hit by that.

3 months later and the Clone Commandos are my favorite Battlefront 2 reinforcements alongside the Sith Troopers

It's weird playing them in 3rd person when you used to play them in 1st in Republic Commando. The glute armor is DUMMY THICCCC

you know, as I watch this I'm playing XCOM2 with the republic armory mod, with my main 4 to send on missions being Delta Squad. I've beaten republic commando so many times.

The reason that the bad batch and delta squad are similar in the roles is because all commando units were made to have a squad leader, demolishons expert, tech person/slicer, and sniper/medic

But Dave Filoni knew all the things going on in Lucasfilm and it was not a sudden decision Disney taking over so it was a prep for the worse. I don't know about the last thing! I think they are better than nothing right? Normally we wouldn't even get to see them nowhere near in any scenario considering how they have incompetent idiots like Kathleen Kennedy running the business. So I think Commandos are at a decent state! Some of the cooler things not even get the chance to see the sunlight!

I like the way how the clone wars evolved Star Wars; all the diplomacy, bureaucracy, crimes of war, terror of war, casualties and feelings evolved and shaped. If you are really into blunt and dull things I cannot know since you don't mention. But remember EU started with Heir to the Empire which was a thrawn book and Filoni was the one stick stable with the Thrawn idea in Rebels and he stated that if TCW wasn't cancelled we'd see young thrawn in clone wars as well. And he stick stable with the idea and now we have a really good thrawn. Like what are the changes you dislike? Paved for which new canon? Remember disney almost cancelled TCW as well!! You just overgeneralisating the concept!

@@radec1906 It's my personal opinion that The Clone Wars changed so much previously developed lore? No, that's fact; and it's the sole reason why so much of "legends" has to stay "legends". I didn't say The Clone Wars didn't do those things and it's a shame you think The Clone Wars is responsible for "evolving SW; diplomacy, bureaucracy, war crimes, terror of war, casualties and feelings" because all of those things have been part of SW well before The Clone Wars existed. You honestly think SW was "blunt and dull" before The Clone Wars? Honest question. Yes, the old EU really got popular because of Hier to the Empire (a fantastic book that I just finished recently) and yes it had Thrawn in it. But the Thrawn they introduced into Canon had to be changed in order to fit into the new/Disney Canon, everyone knows this. What changes do I dislike? Ha! Nearly all of them. Grievous' backstory changed, entire Mandalorian history and culture changed, Jango Fett's backstory changed (which in turn, effects each and every clone and the changes they made is why Durge can't exist in Canon), Darth Maul's backstory changed and my most hated change, those damn inhibitor control chips for the clones; you want to talk about "dull and blunt"? Well that's exactly what the new canon clones are now due to those damn chips. How am I " overgeneralizing the concept"?

No the barrel detaches and then replaced with another like the anti armor attachment or sniper attachment.
