I don’t know if you have heard of the Richard/Hyde gooseneck flexible paint brush extension. This will help in all kinds of situations. Awesome paint brush. Reach the unreachable. Cheers!
I'm a long time painter ..mostly work by myself...this guy is a painting genius...saves you so much time an effort...his videos are just good common sense with the proper tools/equipment. .Thanks for the knowledge!
Thank you, I have been painting (and improving) for about 10 years now. I still watch your videos because I ALWAYS learn something or am reminded of something. There really is no excuse for some of the paint jobs I have seen done when everyone has access to your information if they just care enough to do some research and do it right.
Your videos have helped me tremendously in painting my house myself. Thank you so much!

Hey, really enjoy your videos. I’ve been a painter for 30 years, but still learning new stuff from other painters. The two done spring method is great except for when you were on a 40 foot ladder in the air you would need at least one hand to hang on for dear life while you spray with the other.😉
Thank you for all the content you put out.
All of your ideas including the other videos I find are awesome tips....also very simple to understand and do!!!👍👍👍

Got a question for you pros . I am a trim carpenter . I was building a new hand rail and staircase in a really nice house . It was just me and my crew doing some windows and staircase and remodel of two fireplaces . Painters came in too paint all of the . Super nice oak . Base/case door jambs . Crown chair rail . Kitchen cabs and island . As it was all stained and finished . We left for a week let them have the house . Came back and the finish is cracking bad . U can run your hands across the wood work now and it feels like 400 grit . But the cracking and etc is BAD . Bad bad bad bad

I over head the painters and home owners talking . Painter said . There is a product. That they can spray on over lacquer . So they wouldn’t haft to use lacquer again . As home owners . Left for a week . They don’t want to leave again cause I know it’s a whole re paint . I guess my question is . Is there any such product .
All year I've been watching painters video and so satisfied thanks to painting Life TV

Hey man nice tips,, any possible way i can get you to give a little more details and info on using 2 spray guns at once, like this video,,, the link you have here seems to be just for a dual tip running off 1 hose
Your are the best man thanks for tips and I will like to work for you 🙏
Cool video ! I'm just wondering about that box that levels ladders on steps, what happens it you lose your balance n lean too far to the side??? There's nothing to stop you from falling is there?
Love the Dual Handed Spray Hack
I use the two gun system when spraying some big exteriors. I just have another guy using the other gun. It is actually a nice hack. Two guys spraying from one machine. Of course you need a beefy sprayer but it is diffently handy to be set up that way.
Always a great job you do my friend...you videos are very thorough and to the point...2 thumbs up from Canada....

@Paint Life TV , Hi, what material do you use to seal the baseboards when painting walls?
Good catch 😉
Your the man can I come follow you around I need to learn how I w to set up and use a spray rig
Great Channel by the way!!! One thing I would add to the hinge is to clean it before lubing it. I clean the pin with a paper towel and then spray inside the hinge with a fast-drying degreaser. Make sure to protect everything around the hinge before spraying. Then lube up the pin with a thin coat of lube. This way the hinge pins will last longer and you will not have to go back next year to add more lube because of all the metal in the lube wearing out your door hinge.
Hey what is the best brush you use for exterior and interior paint, water base and oil based?
I’m always saying I’m going to google why the black dust comes out and never get around to it and just wipe it up....I watched another video of yours about mixing paint now I’m watching a mix of all your videos and I’m so glad I did!!!!!!! God Bless You!

When using aqua filler on oak cabinets I understand. Are you sanding then aqua fill, do you restrain? And what are you using for water barrier? Spray with or brush polyurethane or lacquer?
Dude tour in excellent shape my man good living your were I want to be in 10 years
Ive been restoring and painting cars for years. Switching to this trade is MUCH easier and faster
Hey Chris, do you need to feather up the paint a bit on that awesome straight line trim hack with the square?
Right on man
I do the same thing you do I am a painter I live in here on Holiday Florida and I've been doing it for 17 years
I’m hoping you’ll see this, maybe maybe not, but what type of sprayer would you recommend for painting moulding? Mainly base, crown, and shoe. I currently use a Wagner hand sprayer but it’s difficult to get a good finish. There are usually tiny bumps here and there that I have to sand down and touch up. I’m looking to upgrade to a better spray system so any info would be greatly appreciated. Love your vids and the info you give!

Just get a graco 395 with fflp tips Much faster and better quality that those hand held battery powered sprayers You will see the difference on the finish product
If John Cena and Bruce Willis had a baby, it'd be this guy! 😂😂
Missed the survey but an online class on setting up a kitchen for spraying. I currently take all doors and drawers to my shop and do everything else onsite. I've the sprayer but I'd like to know how you tape everything off and create ventilation. TIA.
@GreatWhiteNiko

I spray cabinets with solvent based alkyd primer and solvent based polyurethane top coat. Meaning solvents get air borne. Your only option for ventilation is to have all doors and windows open. You could spend $150 on a very powerful exhaust fan from Harbour Freight - it is 3,000 CFM, not kidding, and very very sturdy. But it won't suck out 3,000 CFM from any room fast enough so you don't inhale it even with a VOC respirator. Best approach is to open all windows/doors AND spray slow so you don't saturate the air with overspray/solvents. I also use a forced air full face shield with the air pump on a belt You can get these from military surplus ebay stores for literally $20 for the air pump. The face mask is about $100. Taping is not as straight forward and fast as he shows it on the video. The spray will enter any little gap you leave in the tape - like for example where the tape meets the shelf. Also usually cabinets have dust or fine debris or food oils and tape does not stick perfect. Take your time taping - it is done the way he shows here but he uses fancy orange tape because that is probably one of his sponsors. I suggest using the highest tack white masking tape you can find. And don't use plastic - use masking paper - it moves much less than the thin plastic when the air from the spray gun hits it. Plastic, if not tight can move and stick itself on the newly sprayed surface. Do yourself a favor and use super fast primer - an alkyd solvent based primer or a lacquer undercoat (solvent based too). Dry time is instant for the alkyd and about 60 seconds for the undercoat. Fills any scratches, dings, etc. too and results in a superior sculpted finish. Both materials fill the worse of the worse - the exposed edges of MDF - in a single pass. Because of the fast dry time the solids do not have time to "soak" into the shitty MDF and set hard on the surface. Every other primer either soaks in or it requires 3-4 coats and waiting in between. Spray rig: HVLP gun (remote cup preferred for hand comfort and easy angling) or the Graco fine finish nozzles for airless (but if using the airless filling the hose takes a quart of material and cleaning with Lacquer Thinner wastes a gallon for sure). Honestly for the ease of use I'd go with the Fine Finish Airless nozzle. Price of 1-2 gallons of Lacquer for cleaning is ok and you most likely own an airless sprayer already so a Fine Finish nozzle and tip will run about $90. With my suggestions you do not need to remove any doors and drawers unless you need every single surface of the drawers painted (back, bottom). But taping some models of hinges and handles is a bitch so play it by ear. Remove as much hardware as you can. A kitchen with two walls of cabinets and two bathroom cabinets takes me 6-7 hours - from the time I open the door to the time I lock up the place and leave. One man. Good luck.
The mask tip is very helpful, nothing worse then using the daily mask and it carries a stank. I usually wash mine with soap and water, but the rubbing alcohol trick looks faster with a reassurance of being disinfected.

The goose neck brush I seen it in another video paint life
2 situations on sand finished plaster walls. I have a floor to ceiling crack on the plaster board joint. When it's repaired with joint compound or plaster it will eventually pop open again. My plaster guy says to use caulk instead of plaster or tape and joint compound, what is your recommendation. Second, someone not thinking pasted things on a kids room wall with glue. When I peel up the glue it takes up the latex paint leaving a ragged edge 2"-3" depression, how do I fill that so I can repaint the wall. Thanks, Steve
While spraying exterior latex with a Graco X7 & 515 tip the addition of a 12” extension to the gun caused both spiting at trigger release and paint dripping from the tip. Removing the extension and using the same tip directly on the gun stopped both issues. The paint is a high quality PPG Sun Proof, fresh, strained and well mixed. All accessories are Graco. Pressure (no gauge) was just high enough to prevent ‘tails’. Suggestions?
What's the best paint sprayer that is multi purpose? IE- Interior and exterior use.
The spring tool works great for putting the pins back in as well. No need for a hammer.

Graphite dust does not come from the hinges wearing against each other. It’s there because we use graphite power as a lubricant for the hinges. It’s simply lubricant that has worked itself out of the hinges over many opening and closing cycles.
