Thank you very much for your Videos! I want to become a competitive Kirby main and your videos are helping a lot! I learned some of the combos but I'm finding very hard to approach the opponents in order to apply them. Characters which shoot are a real pain, cause I cannot approach them good in order to start the combos... Very often I get hit somehow and because of that basically find myself flying with Kirby, which as you say is pretty bad and predictible. Could you please maybe do a video about such strats using Kirby? Approach oponents, using shield to counter attack and start the combos and etc.. That would help me so much and all other players who also appreciate your playing style with Kirby. Thank you so much again for the awesome content!

I'm a fan of Kirby since dreamland on the Gameboy and that's why I always picked Kirby in smash. Thanks making a Kirby vid.

yo, thats why i used kirby in smash ultimate when i got it 2 months ago, i played kirbys dreamland back in 2011 when i was like 7 years old, and then i got smash ultimate and started with kirby, now im a kirby main

To me the different colors of Kirby feel like there have unique personality, and blue Kirby feels like the chill laid back guy that doesn't give much a care, but you would want home in your life because he cares about your mental health.

I recently started splaying ssbu. I had zero previous experience with the game and so I started World of Light mode, which gives you Kirby as a starter. I decided to stay with him because I had no previous experience. Stumbled on your videos when I wanted to learn how to play and I have to say I am loving it. Great content and I also adore the character. Cheers.

Duuuude! This is so sick! As a Kirby main that hit elite smash for the first time I was starting to think he's just not good at higher levels, but man I'm not utilizing his potential. The combos, moves, and explanation open up so so so many doors. Great video my man, thanks!

Im so glad it helped you! Kirby still feels like an unexplored character with some incredible potential that has certainly not been optimized yet. I cannot wait to see where the small group of Kirby mains take the character :)

This was very helpful information. I'm getting ready to do a small Tournament and one of my friends says I'm good with Kurby, but my flaw in smash is I don't keep enough pressure on and this will help me get better with my main, Kurby, thank you so much

Great video. I want to add that Nair is a very good kill option. Quite safe and can be done out of shield. Back throw can also kill at high percents and even down throw at very high percents. I would have liked tips about using hammer, sword and rock.

The knockback on nair is not to be underestimated. Great for offstage kills . Excellent video, combos sent me to the lab

I've played Kirby for probably a decade since Smash 4 and I didn't know most of these tips! Awesome video!

I tried to main corrin and there were just people saying in chat 'Oh, corrin is so underrated!' Now a recent convert to kirby I took a look at this chat and practically everybody knows that kirby is the coolest. I agree.

Ive never owned a switch before but sometimes in school my friend will pull out his switch and we will play smash. Obviously im not very good but i always use kirby. Thanks for making this video as it will defenitly help me do better

Kirby has always been my dude. Since N64. I dont care what tier he lands in; I will always roll with Kirby .

the last hit of forward air also has surprisingly high kill power, so sometimes just playing neutral with it can land some out of nowhere kills at higher percents

Kafrizz is also a really good ability for Kirby. At a certain percent, I believe at least 25 on Hero, you can combo Foward throw into Kirby’s version of Kafrizz. Possibly wrong, I’ll need to go into training a check more, but I’ve killed Hero a couple times using this set up

True! Its rare, but there are definitely some meta copy abilities that are worth practicing with.

You had it right with the stay in your opponents face but sometimes you encounter a link you cannot wait for a wiff you have to make the first move so do that with every one for practice and always if your opponent is a 0% approach in the air that way you can get the forward air chair and 0-death otherwise stay on the ground for a dash attack. There is your new thing leader today

Great Video Dibblin! Also another tip is that when you do you use the ability you copied make sure you know how to use it. What I mean by that is you can add that copies ability and use it during combos sometimes. Some of the best abilities in my opinion. 1. Falco (great projectile and can help sometimes during combos) 2. Pikachu (great projectile and travels very far and can set up some combos if used right) 3. Game and Watch (When opponent is trying to recover this is great to stop them) 4. Lucas (Pk freeze, forward air, down air, stone, jump twice, pk freeze someone did this before to me online and it really is OP when you nail it) 5. Shulk (Best one for Kirby you can really do some damage with this.) 6. Meta Knight (Perfect when used for recovery because Kirby doesn't have any other horizontal recovery besides his multiple jumps.) 7. Steve (Best thing to use when recovering save your jumps, up b, and you can also change where you want to recover) This is my opinion just so you know. 8. piranha plant (Great projectile to use when opponent is trying to recover) 9. Pit/Dark Pit (Can aim and also snipe which is real good when opponent is off stage) 10. Ridley (really strong and you can use in combos but don't do it really because it can backfire when not used.)

Thank you! I absolutely agree. I think that this touches on a mostly unknown area for Kirby where there is just so much potential for him to be even better if you know how to use the copy ability well.

What I do for short hopping is pressing X and A at the same time along with a joystick movement for one of the air moves.

1:39 That's aqua kirby. I actually DID play that alt of them for a while but since they're so common I switched to Meta Knight Kirby. How did I go this long without knowing pivot cancelling that's huge

I'm a kirby main, I had an AMAZING match against a kirby playing as "MEOW" about a week ago. I BARELY won. I was so disappointed when he or she did not stick around for a second match 😭😭

I started playing blue Kirby only recently due to it being so dam hot lately. I don't have air conditioning. Usually I've always used the default pink, but a couple months ago it was so dam hot, I was melting and desperate, and my blue Kirby was born. Cooler color. Like I said I was desperate. Lol. Been playing as blue Kirby ever since. 🤷‍♂️😂

I dont think there is any combination that is "best." It really is up to you! Personally, I like turning stick jump off and setting my c-stick to tilts (I find this particular one REALLY helpful when playing with Kirby because of how often you need to use tilts)

I do! Its easier for me to be more consistent by just pressing both buttons with my thumb. I wouldnt argue its the best method, but its what I found works for me

Its hard! I have found it easiest to press both X and Y button at the same time. The game will read this as a short hop input! Try doing that and see how it works

I don't care about the teir list, I don't care about what they say about Kirby being trash, them DLC characters don't intimidate me. I will master Kirby not because he's bad, but because I love him.
