5-Hour Layover at Incheon International (Myeongdong and Gangnam)

It is common when flying internationally to have an extended layover. Recently, we had a six hour layover at Incheon and took the opportunity to explore Myeongdong and Gangnam Districts of Seoul, South Korea. Do not waste an airport layover sitting in a lounge. Myeongdong Street was amazing. The street food was an adventure within itself.
Although we didn’t get to go inside, Myeongdong Cathedral was beautiful. Myeongdong Cathedral was the first and is still the most important Catholic Church in Korea and is an important symbol of Christianity in the country. The church is an important icon of Korea and Myeongdong. The official name of Myeongdong Cathedral is Cathedral Church of the Virgin Mary of the Immaculate Conception.
While there are restaurants upon restaurants upon restaurants to enjoy in Myeongdong, one of the great things about the area is the vast array of street foods. From traditional Korean street foods to fun quirky things and foreign specialties too, there are so many stalls of street food in Myeongdong that you could stall hop for every meal that you’re in Myeongdong and still not eat everything.
Although we could have spent the entire time available in Myeongdong, Christian and I decided to explore the Gangnam District of Seoul. The Starfield Library and its collection of 40,000 books is worth a visit.
