I really believe a life of service is the most rewarding, and caring for our families is so important!

My mom used to be a homemaker, and because of her I have a love and admiration for homemaking. I have never felt like a 9-5 was something for me, and I know God has put homemaking in my heart and my vocation. Since I do work I do not get to do it on the weekdays, but on the weekends I do try to do a lot of it on Saturday since Sunday is Gods rest day. 😌

Saturday is the Lord's Sabbath. Sunday is a tradition of the catholic church

My favorite part of homemaking is having a squeaky clean floor and decorating for the season. I loved this video. Great job!

I love the idea that even though I work outside the home, making a home ( especially with a family) is a passion of mine. Changing things up each season is a way to make things fresh (table linens, decoration etc). One of my favourite things to do is to spray the bed linens with essential oil linen sprays as I make the bed. I try to decorate with books too. I change them up with the liturgical season. For May, books on Mother Mary and the rosary, Easter books at Easter etc. Thank you for the video!!!

Yesterday was our 25th wedding anniversary, and just recently I started to put fresh flowers on my table and I like it I don’t know how to describe the feeling they give me when I see them on my table Thank you for sharing

you are the catholic youtuber I like the most! You are so naturally sweet and charismatic, a characteristic that is missing in other catholics here. I really like listening to you because of your sweet, humble and authentic personality!

I LOVE this! It would be great to hear what your " go to" dishes and appetizers are...I think that would make an awesome video.

A good alternative for holiday dishes (since they are not always dishwasher safe) are festive place mats. My mom had special christmas and thanksgiving place mats and napkins (although she did have christmas china too).

Especially tips managing the little kids and house hold responsibility and recipes/meals!

With my teaching job and the time I spend taking care of my nephew and niece, I don't have a lot of time to homemaking, yet I loved your tips because of how simple and practical they are. Love homemaking. Just knowing that I'm doing something good for my family and taking care of them and giving something a little special a little extra.

I love all of our “traditions”. So in terms of homemaking we have certain times of the year when we do things, decorate, bake certain things, sing songs together, etc. I feel like that is all homemaking because it plays into the home atmosphere. Thank you for the video. I am going to up my game with the table now!! 😉

My favorite cooking hacks are, when I make enchiladas, I'll make an extra foil pan to freeze for an easy night later, or ill meal prep some crockpot dump meals so I can just dump the gallon baggy contents into the crockpot and then dinners done later! Makes life so much easier, and it keeps me from cleaning the kitchen as much

My favorite part is taking care of my son's room and putting away all his little clothes- he's 3! I would definitely love a beginner's course to decluttering, organizing, cooking, and home making. I definitely get overwhelmed with paperwork clutter and organizing. My son was in foster care before adopting, we have a lot of different doctor paperwork, I'm a teacher transitioning into stay at home mom/homeschooling so a lot of school papers. I love thriftiness, but sometimes I probably hold onto things longer than needed with an idea that I might use this in the future.

Oh my goodness I am loving this video, Heather! I’m always feeling like I want to be a better homemaker but don’t know exactly how. It doesn’t come naturally to me although the desire is definitely there to learn! I would love, love, love if you did a beginner homemaking video as well. I’ve been married for a couple years with one kiddo and one on the way, and man, I still have a lot to learn! Haha I would love to see a future video on what your go-to recipes for crowds are (if you don’t mind sharing those!).

This was wonderful! I always love listening to you. I’d love to see a video about homemaking with a big family (specifically with a lot of little kids). I feel like I’m struggling quite a bit to keep my home tidy with my 3 little ones running around (ages 5, 3, and 1). We plan to homeschool so I’m feeling extra overwhelmed by the mess that is to come. Any tips for keeping a house tidy and clean is appreciated!

I’m catholic but my man is making me work . He makes more than enough to provide for me and the baby but he’s a weenie and says he needs me to “contribute” 😒. If I work, I’m not doing a damn thing at home. No laundry, no cleaning, no cooking. I’m not doing both. It’s one or the other. He can pay someone to do that if he wants or he can do it himself. I’m not “super mom” where I come home tired from work to do more work. I’ve been robbed of my womanhood

I feel called to marriage byt lacking advice about homemaking, cooking, taking care of kids. All of those alone seem too much but I haven't gotten much good advice and I want to do it the Catholic way😥 I also am not good at cooking but I am trying to make new stuff to add to things I can make. For some reason I don't have a desire for kids and I'm really sad it isn't there. I will be open to life but I would love it if I desired it. Probably because I haven't met my spouse yet but almost 30 so really hoping to find him soon. In the meantime praying and trying to level up myself ^_^❤ I would love 3 videos about the topica above and how to prioritize the narriage relationship while having kids. I heard the order: God, husband, kids and make sure to take care of yourself

I didn’t know Sunday was a feast day! Cool! Also I’m not sure what my favorite part of homemaking is. I just know it’s not dishes. 😂

We have littles and the table cloth thing makes me nervous bc of stains or the kids pulling it and all of the food/cutlery off the table. When we get a bigger table, I want to get a table runner instead. I am looking forward to that!

Do you hope for a 6th baby , Heather ? I wonder if you have any help ? I was a full time working mom of 5 BUT I did have paid help with the children and house - I don’t think I could have done full time Sahm …. 😩

I love your thrift store shout outs! That is where I try to get all I can! Home goods, clothing, and more!! I can hardly make myself shop any other way. Full price 🙅🏻‍♀️😂 I love find my Catholic decor at antique shops! I always feel like it’s a treasure hunt! Love the vintage feel and wonder about its previous owner and their story and life! 😍 I agree that fresh flowers being much happiness! My biggest tip is decluttering! When I find I’m having trouble keeping up with laundry or picking up, it’s time for a purge!

Don't Know If You Have A DD's Discount Store, In Your Town, But DD's Is AMAZING, FOR FINDING ALL KINDS OF BEAUTIFUL THINGS, FOR CHEAPPPPPP!!!!! IT'S AMAZING...TRY IT OUT!!!!!

Another great video Heather! I also think knowing when to have music softly in the background and when to have quiet can help with the homey feelings. Oh and we decorate our home altar more than the rest of the house. I am working on growing our liturgical table cloths collection. Do you have any recommendations for decreasing the buh risk with fresh flowers? We have a lot of earwig bugs that get in my rose bushes and then come in. 😬

God just favors certain people . No matter how much I prayed for a good man and did all the right things, it never happened for me so now I’m stuck with whatever I could get. Sorry, I just been reading all your posts about how you met your husband and now I’m ranting bc I have such a weak man who doesn’t allow me to be a woman and mother. I’m beyond depressed for having to work and dump my poor baby at daycare all because he wants to hoard his money instead of providing. He’s choosing for us to be poor. Aside from this we have to move to a ghetto neighborhood where I’ll be all alone at night bc he works nights. Some man to leave a woman and her baby alone in that neighborhood… we could live in a nice neighborhood if he wasn’t so greedy. And this is the state of males these days.
