Having a pearl weed carpet makes it easier for egg scattering fish . The thick vegetation at the bottom of the tank safeguards the eggs. Worked so well for me while trying to breed Ember Tetra 😄

You’ve been a huge inspiration on me creating my fish room and trying to sell for profit here in the us. Keep going I hopefully want to eventually have my own warehouse
Endler's also behave differently from your regular old guppy. They may eat the first fry or 2 then after that, they'll leave the surviving babies alone. I notice when I turn off the lights, all of my Endlers literally go to sleep on the gravel or on the plants like they're in bed! Lol. There are lots of Endler/guppy crosses out there. You have to basically trust the breeder when they say it's pure Endler or not.
I love your breeding methods. I ended up with lots of Celestial Pearl Danio babies, and the only thing I did was remove the betta that was living with them! He must have been eating ask the eggs 🤣
Platy Breeding Tip - From personal experience, platy fry have a habit of settling to the bottom after birth, then occasionally racing to the surface from time to time and back down. This action seems to entice the adults to eat them in a natural instinct. To raise more Platy, you need top to bottom plant coverage over at least a portion of the tank. I use dense guppy grass floating over java moss. The females do a good job of burrowing in the dense foliage for birth, and more fry survive if they can navigate all levels of the tank under cover of plants.

I used to breed platys. I got bored, I have a 50 litre tank [no idea what it is in gallons] and when I had a pregnant platy or 2, I either put them in a smaller tank which I am currently breedings guppies in then taking the platy out of and let the babies grow in a tank on their own. But breeding boxes work just as well 👍
You are so adorable fin (ha ha fun) to watch and informative. My lemon blue eye plecs spawning 2x in a row. Removing cave now. Love fish and breeding them all.

Removing the cave didn’t work for my bristle nose plecos. They were all so determined to overrun me and the poop that they can generate when there’s 100s of babies in a 55 gallon tank! Thankfully I found homes for all of them I’m done with Fish! My favorite were importanted guppies but they are just too delicate. The city changed our water one spring and I didn’t know it and I ended up losing hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of Thailand beautiful patriot guppies! Which is why I put all my pleecos in one tank they’re the only thing that survived along with my few panda Corey’s but those baby Pleco‘s didn’t let my Coreys live very long
lots of love from india
Following you has been a real joy! Moses and I have been breeding Guppy's for over half a century and I still love them. Zebra's were the first egg layer's I had bred quite by accident. You remind me of me as a young man and I hope one day you'll get to legally get too catch and raise, breed, and sell some. When I get better and hit the lottery, I would love to bring you too the USA for a vacation and meet you in person. I would also like too take a trip to Australia where my grandparents were from. Have a great day!
In florida unwanted fish are released into the wild. Breed responsibly.

WHITE CLOUD MOUNTAIN MINNOWS ... mine have started to breed like crazy. I certainly didn't expect to see THAT after having them for 2.5 years... Your videos are a great source of inspiration - thank you.
Hey from Arkansas United States I hope you’ve had a good day I love your work thank you for all the informative videos
I'd never kept platy's before, but got 2 male and 1 female green lantern ones in January, and by February I had 30 babies. I wasn't gonna keep breeding them, but then I was gifted a like, blue and pink platy female and a splotchy Mikey Mouse platy male, they bred, and the babies are SO cute, they've got such great colour and black little stripes and dots. I love seeing the combos that can come out of them.
I love your beginner videos! Been following along for a couple of years now!!!
Awesome job with your videos! Absolutely amazing.
I bought 10 platys about a year ago. Now I have like 60-80 and I love being able to sell them at a petstore. 😅 I don't even know who's kids these are but they're cute.
Nick you my hero on breeding fish
Awesome to see you in the NEW Fish Room! I hope we get another working vlog. Keep going
I breed platties because I wanted blue wagtail but could only get muts. I have spent the last year getting them back to original color
Thank you so much for your videos!
wow nick your place is looking great.the wood frames worked out nicely.
Loving the content man keep it up gonna set up my own fish room soon
Awesome video, guppies were my 1st fish I bred as well and I got so excited watching the first female give birth.
Loving the fact that you were shooting the video in your new fish room....until you mentioned it I thought you were dropping an Easter egg. Keep on hustling mate, appreciate the struggle that comes with change...but appreciate the benefits that spawn from the adversity that entropy creates!!! .
Nice information about fish breed. It's cute fish collection , yay Thanks You for sharing.
Great video. Mollies would fit well with this list too. I'm really looking forward to an update on your new fishroom!

mainaquarist ... My neighbour has black mollies which breed like crazy. She asked me if I wanted some to add to my aquariums. I politely declined as I heard that they are territorial and aggressive. I think she uses them as "food" for her outdoors pond.
Can’t wait for the next update on your fish store!!!
great video as usual thanks
Hii, when are you doing an update on your fishroom? Loved the video!!!
I love these kinds of vids!

Mollies are another live bearer to breed also. Dalmatian are a lot longer gestation, but easy to breed.

We have two Dalmatian mollies, they're lovely 😍
Oddly enough, I have a couple of L183 /bristlenose (it's a couple alright) - and they are mature.. and haven't seen any wigglers.. (although they do have a couple of hiding places at their disposal).. Oh Well.. And the Guppy/Endler thing.. What I bought were probably hybrids (started with 10, 6 month ago - now there are hundreds !) So now I have a bunch of Guppy that look like endlers.. and Endlers that look like guppys ! It's fun - some of those fish are absolutely amazing in color and size (some of the males are like 1 cm long and have a 3 cm long tail and a 1 cm dorsal fin - and when they do the "dance" they are just amazing to watch !)
Your channel is bad ass! Love it! Greetings from America!😃❤️
In addition to your list, I've also "accidentally" bred LOTS of electric blue acaras. The parents just need a tank where the fry (mostly) don't get eaten and they do the rest.
Hi I have been watching your channel for like a year you give me so much tips keep up the great work
Accidentally bred rainbowfish before 🥰 so cute, I will have to breed them again someday
Nice, video Nick I was the dude annoying you on tik tok 😂 about insulation/questions and stuff appreciated your help man I really do and keep doing what your doing best! ❤️🐠
when will you have peppermint bristlenoses back in stock on the website, and any tips on breeding them? love the videos and keep up the good work!
Guppies are my first fish too
My grandmother bred some fishes. Local pet stores would come get them sometimes. One thing I did with my livebearers was to make hybrids mostly from male guppies.
Baby fish are so cute!
Dude i stumbled over you videos just over a year ago and it gave me the hype to get back into my aquarium, i lost alot of fish from a blown heater. Im back loving my aquarium and still get the hype when it says you have posted a video, thank you for everything.

I love sword tails. 😍 don't see them anymore. Red, black, brick, orange, they came in so many different colors. Live bearers.
Nice sir..i always watch your videos and inspired everyone especially those inline in this hobby. Wish you notice me from Philippines.☺️
pls do a video about Serpae Tetra. Thanks. I love how you say noo, you’re cute.
Day 6 of asking where in Brisbane your new shop is located, cause I REALLY want to work/shop there!!!❤️
please give a tour of your new fish room btw love your vedios
You should make a breeding video on Apistogrammas soon! :D
Thanks so much for the info. What platys or guppys do you think will be ok in a 25 gallon with a mle betta? I wonder if some of the brighter colour tail ones may get attacked?
Hi there Goldfish and angelfish have a good day
I dont know if it was just coincidence but we had a similar experience with jewelled cichlids. Bought 2 for a 125g tank and before long it was packed with babies. Tried to get them all out and into a 100g eventually just had 2 huge tanks of 100s of jeweleds. Plus a couple 10g for the original parents to be separated in.
In regards to the danios where did you get the black basket?
Harlequin rasboras are a good choice too. They’ve been in the hobby for so long they’re practically indestructible

hello great content as usual. May i ask what fish would be the less risk for baby shrimps apart from cory. thanks in advance
@Dylan-ok6ft
Жыл бұрын
There are no truly shrimp safe fish: all aquarium fish, including corys, will eat a baby shrimp, if given the opportunity and they can fit it in their mouth. That said, smaller community fish can be kept with Neocaridina shrimp without too many losses. Neocaridina breeders even recommend keeping bristlenose plecos as the Neos like to eat their poop. If your goal is to keep and breed Caridina shrimp like Crystals, Tigers, Bee, or Sulawesi, do not keep them with fish unless you have a lot experience with the shrimp and are willing to take losses.
Question , i have my first Spawn from my apistogramma viejita should i leavy IT or take egg out ?
White clouds have been non stop since I bought them.
A fish I find super easy to breed is the T-bar cichlid (Cryptoheros sajica). We do nothing and they have been having babies for the third time this year now.
White cloud mountain minnows are easy to breed to
Give us an update for the baby bettas and thier food
Do u think the Danio method would work with congo tetra. They are a egg Spreader. From want I've read there a little harder to breed.
Do u have any grass strain
Hi Nick, that's a great selection for beginners. Thanks for sharing and good luck for your new fish room. Greetings from Europe, Bernd 👋🙂
Plz tell wats d ideal temperature for zebra danios. I want to know wats d lower temperature zebra can stay in good condition
So I have been breeding my bristlenose plecos quite reliably, what would you recommend as the next pleco to try and breed, not something too difficult but more difficult than bristlenose plecs.?
How often do you clean your fish tanks/filters out?
don't forget the molly's. closer to platty in breeding behavior than guppy and I've been told can cross with guppy.
What are about pearl gourami i breed them they are easy to breed anyway love watching your videos I learnt so much you are awesome keep up the good work 😃
How do you advertize the fish that you have on sale?
Waiting for some new fish room updates.
A year ago i bought 7 guppies ( 2 males) and 8 platties (3 males) for an aquarium. Got bored and moved them to an empty outdoor pond, now I have literally thousands 😭.
@JJ-ji9xx

In my experience guppies usually birth 30-40 fries, and platties usually about 20-25. I have plants, rocks, and algae in the pond so the babies can hide. I feed them only occasionally with flakes (like once a week), they must be eating the algae and it's more than enough food that they keep breeding.

Something interesting is that the OG guppies were fancy guppies, but over time, the population looks more like endlers, idk how.

@@BobaT0 definitely, from those several pairs. Inbreeding can happen to in the wild. I haven't yet to find one with any physical deformities like bent spine etc. From what i know, fancy guppies are the result of tons on inbreeding, so maybe there's fewer inbreeding in my pond and the genetics become more natural (they're less colorful, and the tails aren't as big and wide as the OGs). Maybe guppies and endlers come from the same species but idk
Bro can you please do a Dumbo ear betta fish breeding video because there are no video on KZread about breading Dumbo ear betta fish . They are difficult to breeding ? Please brother try to make a video on it

He made a vid about breeding shrimps guppy snails and growing java moss in a 20G all together
Are you ever gonne try saltwater fish? Like seahorses of clownfish?
could you do the danio trick with live bearers? so the babies drop through and the parents can't eat them?
I have a male bristlenose in one tank and a female in another tank. I want to put them together but both love their homes. I suppose I need to consider if I want to disturb them to try for babies . Oh help what to do?
Looking for some advice. Is it foolish to add 22 new fish into my 75G tank? They're mostly nano-fish (Rasbora Kubotai and Celestial Pearl Danios) and a few cory cats. Tank only have a few fish in it at the moment, as well as some plants.
Idk what to do my one of my fish had babies I have two rainbow fish and two giant danios I wasn’t planning on breading them
Hey KFS, great video once again. I'm really looking forward to breed with my guppies. I've been wating to do this for a long time. There's a problem though. I only have one tank. I don't want to buy any new tanks yet simply cause I don't have any space to put them. Considering I have alot of hiding spots, I'd say my aquarium (60L) would get full really quick. If I'd end up with way too much fish, I'll have no stores or other people to sell the guppies to. Simply cause the demand isn't there or stores have big retailers they buy from. What would be a solution to that? I really would love to breed my own guppies.

Hi, a great idea would be kinda what he did for the danios in the video. Get a little containers with tiny holes in it like a flour sifter or veggie strainer or something like that. When u notice that a female guppy is pregnant, you can put it in the container, which would be placed just in a separate larger container, kinda like the box used in the video except maybe plastic (which u can just put water in from the tank, because it is temporary). Now u can add a filter if u would like, but with mine I just did daily water changes and all the babies grew up happy and healthy, and ready to sell. Once the mother gives birth, the babies will just fall through, then u can place her back into the main tank! Good luck, hopes this helps!

Speaking of breeding, when will you have your Corydoras up for sale 😍
So will endlers breed with standard guppies?
How many guppys can i keep in a 100litre tank and how often to do a water change
Hey, Nick any place to contact you to ask a few questions?
I bought a pair of albino platinum guppies and they're about 6 months + old now and the female never gave birth, yeah she has that black spot behind her belly but her belly never really grew bigger, Any tips?
how about RCS, its easy to breed as long no predator like Guppy or platy/molly i have it on my tank. life with neon tetra. :)
how would you recommend to start breeding to pay for the hobby on the cheap (like $200-$250 australian)
I don’t like to hide I like to shine
Bro video was awesome but you forgot MOLLIES my first fish which I bred
I used to have platys but they were breeding too much so we moved them into the family tank
I have the same platies in my 20 gallon tank two males and five females and I’ve had them in there for four months now and I still have no babies nothing in my water is good my perimeter is good my pH is good my money is good my nitrates good in my nitrates good I feed them once a day and there’s not too much decoration I saw one fry In there for about a week and a half and now I have not seen it for the last five days and no more
What do I do with all these unwanted fish?
What about the bettas, even they are easy to breed?
