Patrick appeared in one other episode with a different voice actor. Makes sense when you compare how busy he was early in the show's run vs since then.

most of the time, when a character from family guy stops showing up, it usually means the voice actor does not want to act or is dead.

Jake and Olivia were recurring characters, so makes sense why they are on this list. Everyone else were just one-offs

One of the all time best lines in the show

There’s so many characters in Family Guy , I’d imagine it’s very difficult to keep up with everyone especially since they constantly make new characters

I can think of more characters who disappeared like Chris' former principal from junior high, Chris' two friends who appeared in two episodes, Meg's fourth friend who was blonde, the two Portuguese guys who use to work for Peter and as bust boys at the drunken clam, Meg's Mr. Berler, Lois' rival piano teacher, and I haven't seen Julian in a long time. Also Peter's former two bosses Bert and Shela, Phineas and Barnaby the muscle men. I also realized I haven't seen Opie and Stella Peter's co workers in two years.

in the episode where peter and the kids turned carter’s house into a hotel, when tom arrived, stewie said something about celebrating the anniversary of his divorce, so that could explain why there’s no jake and no wife

After hearing this list, I think Tom Tucker might have a couple questions to answer...

Jake Tucker is the only character that appeared in several episodes during the earlier seasons. Every other character was basically made for one episode, and might have appeared in others, but weren't meant to be integrated into the show

Patrick was locked up for being a serial killer. That's the only one who has a genuine reason to never be seen again.

I’ve been binge watching family guy since the past 2 months. They really have a lot of content to watch.

God I really hope Mickey McFinnigan comes back. He was a good character.

Family guy has a specific type of way it rolls. Sometimes something happens that does not affect the show. All of these characters were just thrown in for extra comedy. All of the ones we see often are main characters, they make the show. I noticed Family Guy also repeats jokes alot, like that dancing air guys ad (I forgot the name) that are usually outside of stores to catch your attention.

Peters dad: "son... *I have to go get the milk again* "

He did set the cardboard house on fire with Olivia and the kid she worked with on a show or commercial but is later seen in a later episode where they talk about it... It's only a quick, change of topic conversation so many people miss it

It would be funny if they made an episode where they find the missing characters
