I have 4, ranking them wise Herod Layton Percival Carisle Start with the best and end with the best

Havent smelled Kalan, but others are amazing. Would also add the Exclusifs and Haltane

I love Layton is so amazing during the winter season

Greenley is strong too.

The Kalan opening is overwhelming for sure, but the dry down....just wow

Amazing list! It is hard to choose one, i mean i wear Layton and i say this is my favorite! Then i wear Kalan and i think oh this is the best from Parfums de Marly😅… Layton, Layton Exclusive, Kalan, Percival, Herod and Carlissle are my favorites. See it is really hard to choose.

I’ve yet to meet a single person man or woman that enjoys Kalan. As far as my favorite PDM right now I’d have to say Darley or Haltane.

I bought a kalan sample from so avant garde in the winter and man I did not like the dryness of it but I wore a few sprays the first day I got it then I sprayed it again like 3 weeks later and it didn't change but for some reason I really liked it. It doesn't smell like anything else designer it is really unique and smells so good. PDM has really captured the uniqueness of niche colognes but it wasn't weird smelling like most other niche houses that make unique colognes. I really like it. I don't care for Herod I have radical brown by armaf and they smell 90 percent the same

Hi Christopher! Yeah, some people get that "metallic" kind of scent and some people feel it's something more gasoline like. I understand both but I do interpret the scent in a slightly different way. I get metallic laundry detergent. So fucking nice. It's so smooth and easy to wear anywhere. Doesn't seduce, doesn't impress, but just gets it done like nothing else. Hard to explain.

Kalan smells like dirt on my skin lol. Pegasus is my personal fav. I tried Galloway recently and I feel like it doesn't get enough love. It smells amazing!

@@alexanderm4477 yeah i had that introduce box set . You get 6 or 7 5ml bottles you can order from parfums de marly online . Great way to test before you buy . All my bottles iv bought since are 125ml . But you only need 3 blasts they are all really long lasting . Pegasus exclusif is a game changer 🙌 👏 👌

Rotten, I need your help. I have Darley, Layton and Percival. Currently I am thinking about getting Carlisle, Herod or Pegasus. I need to consider that I have Mancera Red Tobacco, which is the same vibe as Herod. Today I tried Kalan for the 3rd time, the openong is very harsh, but I am slowly getting warm with the drydown, but the opening I can't decide. What would you pick?

Carlisle, Herod, Pegasus, Kalan. All good fragrances. A lot of people dismiss Kalan but I love it. Wicked dry down. The opening can be a bit too much for some guys. If you have red tobacco then maybe aim for carlisle or pegasus (if you dont want 2 tobacco fragrances). Herod is however quite different compared to the mancera but maybe it's more fun for you to go with something completely different. Carlisle vs Pegasus I would go with Pegasus because I love almond in scents and think they did a fantastic job on that one. Such a unique fragrance. Pegasus is a fragrance some feel is "metallic" so make sure you try it. It's a stunning fragrance but try any pdm before you buy since they are not cheap. 😊

Carlisle and Herod are my favorite. I can’t stand Kalan. It so piercing. I remember getting a sample and I was so upset that the performance was beastly because it wouldn’t go away. So I do hate it but it’s a beast mode fragrance .

I can see why a lot of people would like it, I personally don't, however. It's like a super creamy vanilla almond smell which just isn't for me personally but I can tell it's a high quality cologne.

My question is what is with this “sweet perfume” era that we are in?? I love PDM, a lot! I have Perceval because I love fresh scents that are manly. I really like Layton but it’s just too sweet for me. Would Layton Exclusive be a more masculine, less sweet Layton?? Thanks for the video.

I’m the same way. I sampled almost all PDM and most are sweet. Just today I tried Percival and I actually like it a lot. Might get a full bottle. I also bought Layton exclusif. It’s much better than regular Layton. Still a bit sweet, but more dark and masculine. Highly recommend sampling exclusif

Pegasus smells better after 1-2 days on clothes. Layton smells better directly after spraying

Im so mad my nose hates Layton lol smells like vicks vapor rub to me😭. Only ones i enjoyed was Percival and Sedley. Herod was also good but, it just smell like a tobacco pipe. After about 4 hours though the vanilla leftover is the best vanilla i have smelled on a dry down😭

Oajan and Althair for the win! By the way Kalon is horrid

All of these only have a longevity of 3-4hrs. Rather buy the dupes of these and last 7-8 hrs!!🎉

@@rottenrebels Exactly this case is very surprising to me because one of the scents that I like very much is leather and many of the perfumes in my small collection have leather notes. For several years now, my signature fragrance has been Tuscan Leather in the fall and winter seasons, and I sprayed it on my clothes just a few hours ago. I also have Ambre Leather and F**king Fabulous and they're some of the cleanest leather perfumes that I have smelled. Even Valentino Uomo Intense is super beautiful and I adore it. I don't know the reason behind Godolphin's harsh and bitter leather base and I don't get the vibe that I want to get from it.

Last isn't even Kalan, it's Althaïr...

Hi! On my skin the longevity is good, but the sillage could be better. It's not weak but it's not strong either. So a bit above average. That's on two "older" bottles" . I have not tried the performance of "new" bottles. But I don't mind when the scent is this good. I always spray quite a bit with it and usually bring an atomizer if I'm gonna be out for a longer period of time.
