If you are a natural light photographer or someone intimidated by using artificial light - we got you! A while ago we were where you are now. Ready to take the next step with our photography but a bit unsure of where to start? The world of artificial light can seem so complex and complicated, and there are lots of tech geeks out there who are in love with the technical side of photography, but that’s not always helpful to a photographer.
That’s why we definitely wanted to share 5 simple light setups, which can be achieved by using a maximum of only two light sources. This way, you can get your feet wet and learn step by step how you can create your own light set ups that excite you! You got to crawl before you can walk, right?
The 5 light setups that we share show a range of soft diffused light, to very dramatic and dreamy light. Minimal changes can impact your light set up in a great way. Which light is your key or fill light, how you position the light and what way the light is angled. In our KZread video, you can see how the different light ups work on our model. Our Light Guide PDF is an extension of this video, so you can easily try the set ups yourself.
