I'm so glad you gave a disclaimer about tight lining or liner in the water line. Every time I see an influencer do those things I get a knee jerk reaction. It's so unhealthy. My ophthalmologist told me to never do either. They are catalysts to infections and styes. I put shadow, liner & mascara on everyday regardless of whether I'm staying home or going out. My mature eyes need a lift so the baby wing is my go to. Both eye looks are beautiful on you!

@jann3443 I so agree with you about tight lining in the waterline, just asking to get an eye infection and/or bits of product getting into the eye, but you see influencers doing it all the time. Also it is not flattering it makes the eye look smaller.🥰💜

My doctor says it’s fine so long as it’s removed completely at the end of the day.

Thank you for the caution about tight-lining. I developed a stye and eye makeup kept it irritated. Once an opthalmologist treated it, I still found that many eye makeup products irritated that lid. I try to buy products that are "ophthalmologist tested. They do help a little.

Wow! This is exactly what I have been doing for years, and with the same Tarte duo! I have very oily lids and small eyes that are deep set, now with upper eyebags getting in the way. GREAT tips! Thank you. BTW, I hadn't seen you for a ling while, and I think you're so talented and so pretty. You don't need to do lip fillers. I say this as a complement to your natural beauty. You just don't need it. ❤

Great video. I'm ready to start using any of these tricks if I can have your makeup look. My eye line has always been a real struggle for me. Most specially as I am getting older. Let's see if these tricks work for me. Here's being hopeful.

This was such a good tutorial, Lisa! Thank you. I'm placing an order for the Tarte dual liner and shadow. I have aging and hooded eyes, although my lids have always been hooded. My pet peeve is applying eyeliner and/or mascara... within just a few minutes, I have a mess all over my eyelids. It's aggravating.

I have a vit of a hooded eye on the outer corner but also have deep set eyes with a prominent brow bone and higher brows (so there is quite a bit of real estate to cover). wish I could use a pencil like you do =seems like I have to use liquid eyeliner for tight lining

I tightline every single day but I wiggle the product into the lash line, nothing in the water line. The water line is what causes irritation and can block an oil gland. I’m also not a fan of anything on the bottom, not even mascara. It’s so harsh and really ages us the older we are all getting.

I really love the Urban Decay 24/7 liners, they are soft so you can smudge them but once they dry they don't budge

I have the Mac eyeliner in Teddy Bear...bronzy! Do you think it is similar to the shades you showed us today? Must save money, i figure i already have it.....thoughts?

Does this work with power eyeshadow instead of cream eyeshadow?

Hi Lisa! I always struggle with my wing eyeliner migrating down during a long day at work. I love using the make up by Mario pencil in the cooler brown color and placing a similar shadow color over it to “set it”. I also use powder under my eyes. Do you have any tips on how to stop this from happening?

Hi! It sounds like you are doing all the things I would suggest, it might be that specific pencil. Have you tried another formula? I like Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencils

I have the trifecta of mature eyes, hooded, very minimal lid space, and downturned where the fold goes down past my outer corner. Eyeliner is a a challenge to work with. My downturned fold blocks any attempt for a wing (i don't like batwing which seems my only option). Also liner on my minimal lid closes off my eyes. I think my only option is tightlining at the base of my lashes.

You can also skip upper liner all together and just focus on building a nice full lash :)

When u mention Tarte Quickstick seems to be missing links

Hi Lisa question. I have tried using the Mac paint pots in both colors that you mentioned but every time I do it doesn’t lay well on my eyelids. Any suggestions? It tends to look very cakey like. Thank you for your time

Hi! They can be challenging if you have drier eyelids. One common mistake is applying too much though. I'd use your finger and really sheer it out on the skin. Because it is so longwearing, if you apply too much it can look dry and heavy. Hope that helps!

Winged eyeliner disappears with my mature hooded eyes. Would love to see this done on someone who is mature and actually has hooded eyes with the extra eyelid skin us mature ladies have.

I have wet eyes. They tear a lot
