You forgot one very important info which many drivers overlook: # 6. Have a minimum price per mile AND miles expected to travel Drivers forget to include that it is not only dropping off; you also need to come back. So really if an order is, say, 4 miles what you should be doing is telling yourself 8 miles. That's why I charge (but never limit myself) to $2/mile and that's just on the travel. Also none of that cross country drop off unless it is paying ridiculously high. What is ridiculously high? 12 miles for $40+

Awesome information! It's great to see others in action and making big moves without hesitation or fear of doing it wrong. My daughter and I doordash from 10pm-4am in my area and meet our goal each night. I remember thinking I had to have everything perfect and no short cuts. Now that we've been doing this consistently- we average $34 per hour. I no longer waste energy on being frustrated with customers, the app, who isn't tipping, distance driving, gas prices or pick ups and drop offs...I just keep it moving! 🔥🖤🔥🖤🔥🖤

Interesting...I use the In-App Navi because I don't have to flip back and forth. I like Waze but feel like DoorDash navigation does the best job at highlighting exactly where the house is related to your car's location. My question, if Waze is the default how can you switch to DD navigation to see where the house is once you arrive? Even Google Maps by itself basically ends navigation and doesn't show me the actual house location.

Doordash really depends on your market, my areas around me aren't amazing but the area I always go to nets me 20 plus an hour consistently so that's where I go. There's not enough orders to decline 80% of them lol I have about a 50% acceptance rate I also disagree about not taking the smaller order, again depending on your area those can be solid. I've knocked out 5 dollar orders in 5 to 10 minutes before. I look at dollar per mile but mainly look at dollar amount for the amount of time I think the order will take. If I see a 7 dollar order but think it will take over 20 minutes I'm not taking it but if a 5 dollar order pops up and I think I can do it in 15 or less I'm taking it.

Just want to thank you!! I just started a month ago & our small town is saturated with dashers. It’s def a learning curve, however the more homework one puts in the less time I can spend out in field. ✅🤷🏻‍♀️WHAT I LEARNED THUS FAR: DONT HAVE TI ACCEPTED EVERY ORDER, THE DISTANCE!!! BAMM… One would assume if your driving farther you’d be compensated more…. Therefore I have found myself out in the boondocks!! 🚗 💯 How do you know what works in your area of you don’t try different Strategies, IM A SUCKER & FEEL BAD FOR TURNING DOWN A DASH!! Dash isn’tgoing to pay my bills, tune up on my SUV (if I keep taking the long trips) or give me that loss time back so you gotta play the game “AS A INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR” or your getting paid. Thanks for teaching me this in a way where I’m in a business mentality & not to take things personal! Please keep your videos coming, especially for the new generation of dashers such as myself

I went to a CVS and picked Out what the Customer ordered..IF IT;S IN STOCK, if not you may have a substitute for it already listed by the customer, if NOT, Text them, inform them it;s NOT available, and ASK if they want something else..Simple. Also, Not ALL MY SHOP ORDERS WERE ME Shopping, sometimes they have you pull to like a Doordash Hub center, and they pick it out for Ya, 7 eleven here in Houston does the same also. Hope this helps. The companies plug the acceptance rate like it is a wonderful thing to have a high acceptance rate, when really the opposite is true. When you keep rejecting the garbage, the company gets the message, and then sends you the good stuff. No matter what their sales pitch is, they want all of us out there and delivering. Just so you know, my acceptance rate is under 30%. That just means the company's unacceptance rate is over 70%.. Just keep rejecting until you get what makes sense to you.

My lived experience is very different. I am not finding a lot of tips very helpful because if I decline crappy orders, I get no orders and I make nothing. I am pretty much only being sent Garbage orders and I have to take them or I will make nothing. And if your acceptance rate is too low you can't be top dasher and if you are not top dasher you can't work whenever you want, You have to schedule which means you don't always get to work when you're available to work. I do not understand how everyone seems to be getting wonderful orders and making so much money. When I tried the tips and tricks on here and other places I end up making even less than I normally make. I am extremely lucky if I can possibly make $20 an hour but I usually make between $15-18 an hour and this is in the Bay area so it should be way way more than that.
