In Helsinki, you can stay for 1 night in the hotel and fly to Rovaniemi next morning or you can depart in night same day from helsinki to Rovaneimi by train. Choose any option depending on budget For luxury stay in Rovaniemi: -Stay at Santa’s Igloos Arctic Circle Or consider Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort in Ivalo, This is the Finland’s northernmost popular village. It’s a bit far from Santa Claus Village. or Find you can find cheaper hotel option in Rovaniemi city. For winter clothes, you can rent them over there or bring your own. However, according to the information I received, you can get them on rent if you are staying in a resort or at Santa Claus Village. The hotel staff can arrange this for you. Otherwise, I would recommend not spending money on renting clothes if you're going in February, March, or April, as you can bring more jackets and sweaters and dress yourself in 4-5 layers, which should be sufficient. For shoes, you can consider renting them.
