Brilliant video! Just made my own private dashboard at work, along with a picture of my daughter. For the brain dump dashboard, I use the built-in notepad so I can access it from anywhere inside ClickUp.

@@DaSilvaLife Quick question - when we invite clients to a dashboard as a guest, do they have to make an account with ClickUp or can they just access the link over and over again for access to their stuff?

@@iamashleylbrown great question! So for dashboards they will need to make an account, but it just requires them to create a password. They will then have access to the dashboard within your ClickUp but it is not like they're creating their own ClickUp workspace.

This is great! I'm a ClickUp user myself and your video on the CU dashboard is awesome. I'm curious to know, do you enjoy using the "board view" or "list view" to see your tasks?

I am glad you found it helpful!! It honestly depends on what information I am looking at. I like to use List View for things that go in sequential order, like phases of a project. I like to use Table View to see data/analytics, and I like to use Calendar View to see overall workload and deadlines. I love that I can customize the views to see the different varieties of info! Hope that helps ☺️

Love your videos. Im new to clickup, ive always fought against using it in my head lol. Question lets say we have like 100+ clients getting managed does each client get their own dashboard? Does that get messy or hard? Can you assign tasks to teams/ departments?

Thanks so much Krystal! I am glad you're loving the videos ☺. You definitely can make a dashboard per client. You can also have the option of the team or account manager of the client to create and own the dashboard so that not every person sees 100 dashboards. With this too, you can use the Search function (Command, K) to search for dashboards when needed. Yes, you can assign teams/departments! Awesome Video! It would be helpful to know which plan you’re using before explaining a feature. The time tracking card is not available on the free plan. I’m sure many of us want to know how to get the most out of the free plan (since it is so robust) before upgrading

Hey Christy, thank you for this video! I have been looking for a way to create a dashboard where I can see how much time tasks are taking, not necesarily user focused, but more task focused. Is it just changing the parameters in the time tracker widget? Then apply the same for graphs if I want to make it more visual?

So all time reporting will be done in the time tracking widgets! With charts, you can see Time Estimates but not gather data for time tracked. Hope that makes sense!

I use Clockify for my team tracking, is there a way to integrate with Zapier the time tracking instead of ClickUp integration. A bit like how you have done with the sales dashboard?

Everybody is so positive in their comments. I’m having so much trouble, maybe I’m just dumb. I was trying to make the dashboard. I clicked on dashboard and didn’t see a plus. I don’t see where the widgets are. There’s a lot I just don’t understand. I started by putting down some tasks. I wonder if I start it the wrong way now I can’t use the dashboards. This is so hard to understand.

You're not dumb, it can be a lot to get used to for sure! I wonder if your screen is zoomed in at all and you can't see the settings to add a widget. I would recommend reaching out to ClickUp support by emailing help@clickup.com

Question- I am wondering why this is beneficial for the sales dashboard instead of just using Quickbooks for reports. Just curious.

Great question Candice! First, I love having all of the data I possibly can within one platform if possible. I still use Quickbooks with my accountant for bookkeeping and tax purposes. But with zapier it makes it easy for me to link all of my multiple streams of income right into my ClickUp account. Because I have different payment processes, services, and products, it keeps everything nicely on one place and I love the visual layout of my sales dashboard as well. Hope that helps! ☺️

The only way you can do this currently is by creating a filter that the assignee is or is not specific people.

3:08 ClickUp does not allow other workspaces into one dashboard. Only tasks from within that specific workspace will show up on the dashboard.

I think you may have some confusion around Spaces vs. Workspaces. In my video I mention bringing data in from different Spaces which is possible :)

@@DaSilvaLife I did not hear that clarification in the video. I have found that ClickUp has been notified of this as many people would like to be able to have a dashboard that covers all workspaces, but they have not addressed the issue.
