5 Cars That Last Forever (With Reliable Engines)
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
When your car has a reliable engine, you're likely to have a reliable car. That's why I put together this list of 5 reliable cars for you to look at and consider when you go to buy your next vehicle.
This is our breakdown of 5 cars with engines that last forever. We're talking about engines from Acura Toyota, Lexus, and Mazda because those car makers build reliable engines and great performing cars.
If you're looking for low maintenance, high return on investment (or low depreciation), and less times sitting on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck, this is the list for you!

MAZDA, TOYOTA, and HONDA, in that order. My dad passed in 2015, and left my mom his Lexus ES350. The car was already a few years old. Not one mechanical or other reliability issue since he purchased the car around 2010. It just keeps running and going strong, no matter what.

@@gobbler1957 the timing chain issues where really from the ford era and a Ford motor, they have been good since they got out of bed with ford and into bed with Toyota, like anything maintenance is important, present time I believe just about everything at auction is suspicious, I’ll give you a example I was looking at a 3 year old Toyota with 24k miles. Looked at the car fax and see it went though two owners at the same Toyota dealer then they sent it to auction, there are practically zero Toyotas for sale if you go to a lot around me, they get sold before they come in or people are on the waiting list. There’s no reason why a low miles Toyota would not be put on the lot at a Toyota dealership instead of being sent to the auction except some thing being suspect now back in the day, you might’ve said Old Navy didn’t sell well unpopular, 2 Wheel Dr., etc. etc. but it’s all going today

Depends on how you take care of it. I have a 2015 Ford F150 with the 2.7 Eco and it has never been in the shop for anything but oil changes and tires. It still has the original brakes on it, too. It's the first year they came out with the aluminum body so not any rust on her either. Best truck I have ever owned.

Lexus have been the best car manufacturer I've owned. I had 3 Honda accords in the past and only 1 was reliable. Currently my wife has a MDX and that needs to go in for work every once in a while. I owned a Lexus LS430 for 10years and never had any issue and the car drove smooth, never any weird sounds. Hands down best car ever made!! Totally regret selling it.
I currently own a Mazda cx-5 2021 non-turbo 2.5l and it's not fast but it's very nice and feels like solid quality. The prices of Mazda vehicles are very reasonable for what you get as well 👍

The problem with GMs is, usually the rest of the car is falling apart despite how good the engine is. I was a GM technician. I was constantly chasing down electrical issues and it seemed like everything in the interior would start breaking and falling apart. We also had a fair amount of A/C failures. I was also told that the life expectancy of most of GM's transmissions was 120,000 mi. Yes I have seen some of them go further than that with proper maintenance, and a reasonable driver, but I have also seen many vehicles come in with 100,000 miles on it and need a new transmission. Especially if the vehicle had aftermarket heavy wheels and/or tires on it.

The 2006-2008 1zz-fe 1.8l motor with automatic transmission are the most reliable vehicles ever!!! This includes the Carolla and Pontiac Vibe. In 2006, they tweaked the piston ring, I guess there was an issue with oil burning. At the 120 000 mile mark, there is an O-Ring with the timing chain that tends to fail. Apparently it’s not a big expensive fix. And good thing you didn’t get the 2.4 L engine option, as that engine burned oil big time.

What gets weird with cars that last this long, is all the other stuff on the vehicle wears out and needs replacing before the engine. Then you start getting into other problems that can add up to an odd situation of things going out like wiring, electronics, rust, seats and interior parts just cracking and breaking, hoses and lines and gaskets. 🤔 Just something to think about, I had a 1983 Honda motorcycle, the engine and transmission last so long that everything else needs to be replaced, creating a huge rebuild project. It's cool, but beware if you think you're getting something that's trouble free just because the engine is still running strong

Mark Another fantastic video packed full of information 😊 Hey a question what brands and models offer dual port injection ( direct and port) that seems like a very wise compromise to carbon and noise. This video is 10 out of five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My very best wishes always from Las Vegas Craig Bravo 👏🏻

the newer 3.5 Litre Toyota/Lexus engine.
Until further notice it will always be those 5 cars
Mazda CX-5 with Signature Trim has real Nappa leather. The Sig is the highest and most equipped CX-5 you can get. I actually own a signature in soul red. Just wish they had more color options on the leather instead of dark brown.
I use Ford Escape Lincoln MKT Cadillac escalator and Chevy Tahoe and GMC for cab and limo services for my business and saw these cars have more than 700,000 miles on it and I will say there
My 2018 F150 with a 3.5 has over 302,6xx on it now runs perfect good job Ford.
I don't even want to imagine how much work and cost it would be to replace some those headlights
my cousins 4 litre AU falcon engine was still running good after 10 Years he did have some mechanical problems but not with the Engine and he towed a 2 tonne trailer every day to work.

Nice
Do the Hondas and Acuras have gdi and port injection, like Toyota? I am looking to replace a 2016 Hyundai sonata with either a new Accord or a new Camry hybrid.
My 1987 Volvo 240 is still my daily driver. It has 650,200 miles. Runs great...cost pennies to insure, and is exempt to yearly emissions testing. It is heavier and safer than any of the cars sold today where they push plastic and rubber parts.

You selling it? I love Volvos!
My little 2K Corolla has 288,xxx miles on it and is still running strong. Everything still works in it and I get great gas mileage. Only issue is she burns about half a quart of oil every thousand miles or so.
I have a question that lexus es350 have the same engine that the is350?
That 3.5L 2GR-FKS is also in the Tacoma it’s a very robust motor the only v6 in any truck that has a 6 Bolt main , Lotus barrows that exact motor from Toyota in their sports car making close to 500hp and rally cars in Japan, have that 2GRFKS pumping out 800 hp. It’s an incredibly reliable , tough motor

Lotus has the 2gr-fe from camry and has supercharched it for 400hp

2GR-FE is same as 2GR-FKS , same displacement same crank most of the motor is identical with exception of a few parts that they have updated for the 2GRFKS which are better .
I would get a Mazda if they still had the Mazda 6. I like sedans but the Mazda 3 is just way too small.

Get a used Mazda 6. They discontinued it in 2021 if I remember correctly so it’s not like you’d be buying a 10 year old car. Or get a new mazda cx-30, smaller than the cx-5 and about the same price range as the mazda 6
For the record….I like the big mouth grill. I have a 2004 Lexus 3.3 Litre. Runs like new and a ‘21 Toyota Highlander 3.5 V6…both great
What about the hybrid engines in the Lexus, how reliable are these? I'm thinking about a 2016> 450h or even one of these ES with hybrids engine.

I'd say go for it. I have a 2006 Lexus RX 400h 3.3L and it is truly the best car I've ever owned. People don't realize it's a 17 year old car as the paint and the leather interior still look new. I've only had to do the usual preventative maintenance which I perform myself. One nice thing about the hybrid is that the brakes last a very long time due to the regenerative braking of the hybrid system.
ExoticCars PlaypPlace, I am looking at 2016 AMG GLE 63s Coupe, but it has 89,800 miles, should i avoid this like the plague ? please let me know
Buick series 2 , 3.8L V6 . Any car that ever had them... How could you possibly miss this factoid!!! 😛🤪🥰😍
Those Toyota's, they're just on a different level in reliability, the Mazda skyactiv engines and gearbox combo are really fun dynamically, and apparently seem to be very reliable

Was great for Mazda to get engineering back after Ford left in 2009. Everything they do has a drivability element but is also made with a keep-it-simple where possible attitude to ensure reliability and maintainability. The Skyactiv 6 speed for example was designed with a lock up clutch design to ensure that it always responded quickly. Speed is the one reason Mazda rejected the very Japanese loved CVT.
