What I just heard you say is the best car to own is an older model, nothing newer than 2015 If I was to buy a new pickup Dodge 2005 maybe 6 3/4 ton with the Cunnins diesel nothing newer, unless you want to stay in the shop.

That’s just gasoline cars. I’ve owned all makes, they’re all unreliable when neglected. Bmws are actually some of the more reliable exotic cars for sure. I wouldn’t classify them within the same reliability as a Japanese car though since they’re slightly more reliable, but no where NEAR as good to drive in comparison. If reliability is an issue, either work on your own cars (good fun with the right attitude) or buy an electric one! I’ve owned an electric bmw for well over five years now and have not done a single car repair yet at all on it. Just lots and lots and lots and lots of tires lol

I can't speak to this particular brand; I'm sure it's fine. But these little tire inflators are worthwhile emergency kit. Often the spare tire is under-inflated and needs to be aired up for use when needed. When your tire pressure monitoring system shows a problem the little inflator makes the idiot light on the dash go out even from the comfort of your driveway. They also give you the capability, when needed, to help someone else out without the need for any car expertise. I've had all these things happen. I've got one for each of my vehicles.

  • @ECPP

I stumbled across the most versatile tire inflator that does so much, it inflates several tiresharges your laptop, cell phone and doubles as a task light. So many cool features, and its quick and quiet too. Just saying....

Can you explain the grills. A stone flew into my cousins BMW grill and dented a fan piece causing damage that he had to pay out of pocket for. Why have an open grill on luxury vehicles when the roads are bad and stones, pot holes and rocks are everywhere.

As a long term Acura customer, I think you’re missing the point. I currently own a 2023 Acura TLX Types S and a 2024 Acura MDX Type S . The reason I went with the Acura is the balance of performance and long term reliability. I have owned as a S4 , Porsches as well. Tough to beat and for the price a good value. Also keep in mind , Acura backs their warranties unlike a lot other competitors like Audi or BMW. If this just about leasing a vehicle the German cars are provide more adrenaline, but owning them is a different story.

I hade a 02 overland Cherokee with a 4.7 liter v8. The thing would climb a mountain side in the snow mud whatever just in all wheel drive not even putting it in 4 wheel options. Rarely experienced a vehicle with that good of off road capability comparable to a 4 runner or a Suzuki samari something of that nature. With that being say the junkiest electrical components ever! Sun roof stuck open, electric windows stuck down, fuel pump, fuses going out constantly, air bag sensors. I mean an electrical nightmare. Looks like things haven't changed with Chrysler over the years still can climb a mountain but junk electrical issues. I doubt i buy one again and its just sad because the thing was a tank

Acura's resale value are higher than a lot of other brands. I agree with you the panel gaps and some of their transmissions. I have a 2018 MDX with the infamous 9 speed and overall I don't like it at all but the tech told me he hasn't seen any major issues with them so I will see once I hit 100k soon how everything still feels and drives. I also hear a rattling on the driver's side door too and I wonder where that could be coming from. Based on my experience, I'd say Lexus is better for sure but not by a landslide.

I have to rebuttal this post. You don’t have sufficient information regarding the longevity of Tesla batteries. There are numerous owners who have logged over 400,000 miles on their cars with only 2-3 % battery degradation. Secondly! Many EV owners are going solar with home batteries, so that they can charge their cars from home regardless of the possibility of a rolling blackout.
