    Such a great video! I think I've been aware of all these aspects of speaking, though not consciously. These will be so helpful to keep in mind as I'm preparing new speeches and also evaluating how others give theirs. Thank you

    I’m not a public speaker, I believe the points apply to me as a teacher. I think I need to work most on invention- creating a good opening and designing the overall conversation. Thank you for sharing!

    Aristotle wrote The Rhetoric (a book), but Cicero is credited with developing the 5 Canons.

    @@alexanderlyon Aristotle wrote The Five Canons of Rhetoric a couple centuries before Cicero was born. I bought the translated book dedicated specifically to this work 40 years ago. I'm sure you can still find copies.
