I'm with you. I did 23 years in the Air Force and reading kept me sane on numerous deployments. Great video. R.

Thank you Adam. I’ve read Can’t hurt me and the Monk who sold his Ferrari and Dale Carnegie’s classic. I just ordered the two other books you mentioned. I read Dale Canagie over 30 years ago and still use his simple advice. Over the years this is the one I’ve used most often: I’m well thank you but forget about me, please tell me how you…..(fill in the appropriate blank). Like you, this book started it all for me many years ago.

I recommended 48 law of powers. It is a book about human nature, which pretty much is the driver of our economy.

It's important to feel good in yourself, no amount of money will buy that. Sure it's nice to own material things, but if you don't feel comfortable in your own skin then it doesn't mean anything. Also money is easily spent. Some books are helpful, and some aren't, I think having life experiences are of value. I have learnt different things through negative experiences. Making mistakes for example, and knowing not to repeat them.

I agree. But, I think that books can be valuable investments and teach you great lessons in life. I don't think there is one single way to gain valuable lessons.

@@adamriedel Yes I have found reading books helpful, but in reality it's my life experiences that have been the learning curve. Interactions with others, work experiences, family dynamics, friendships, unexpected happenings, births and deaths of people etc.

Being boring is irrelevant. If it contains brilliant wisdom, you should power on through it.
