More people should be talking about this show. It is fantastic. Having just watched the penultimate episode of the third season, all I can express is my fervent wish for this captivating show to remain eternal. Across three seasons, it has masterfully avoided falling into the trap of repetitiveness or losing its interest with intricate storylines that continue to engage.

Well, its a great idea, because the only people who should qualify for a job in politics, are people who hate politics and politicians. Anybody who deliberately sets out for a career in politics should automatically be eliminated from any list of candidates for any such a job. Thing is, it's not really a job for a good man. A good man would get a better job. You'd have to bully or coerce a good man into taking a job like that. And how long would he stay good rhen? But just because we can't find good people for the job, doesn't mean we should have to settle for bad people. Maybe the job is bad, and needs to be scrapped. Maybe people should get picked at random, and HAVE to do six months of local administration. Like Jury duty.

There are couple of things i have to address. First off, politics is something nobody likes, but it keeps following us everywhere. So, Leary getting into politics is inevitable. Second, the name of Zing is not pronounced as English. The letter "Z" in Cantonese is pronounced as "Ch". I do not know the Honzi, so i am assuming his name means "Blue". Third, Zing is gonna have revenge this time. Fourth, Aa Saam will have a rematch with Lei Yung. These are what i am assuming with season 3's story

I binged the first 2 seasons of this show in less than a week on hbo max during the pandemic and was hooked from the start. Completely underrated show!! I appreciate the story lines refresh.

Same here. I found it from a Lakers podcast (of all places) and binged it in 3 days. Put my boy Damon on and he finished it in a few days as well. Wish there were more people into it

Warrior is my favorite show. I got two guys at my job to watch it and they're as hooked as I am. Definitely needs more attention. In regards to the actual video, I'm also curious about Leary and Ah Sahm's stories, especially the latter. I think, in large part because of the mural, Ah Sahm will be to the Chinese what Leary has been to the Irish, but with the clearly brilliant, ambitious mind he has fueling things. Though not touched up on, I'm also curious about where Officer Lee ends up. He's got lots of sympathy for the Chinese and he can handle himself well for a White cop. He could be useful to Ah Sahm whether he wears a badge or not. CanNOT wait for June 29th!!!😁😁😁😁😁

Great analysis, I wish this show got more recognition and coverage! I've been spreading the word about it, and it deserves more viewers. The fanbase might not be the biggest but we are definitely vocal and thats the reason we are thankfully getting season 3. Videos like this are a big help because I can see so much potential in this show for season 4 or 5 or even beyond with the crew behind and infront of the cameras making it so incredible in every aspect in my opinion. Thanks for the video, i'm looking forward for more on Warrior!

I’m super excited for season 3 as someone who caught the show when it popped up on hbo max when Cinemax folded I was amazed by the action and the storytelling it had going on in the first 2 seasons. Hopefully enough people watch it and we can get enough seasons to finish’s Bruce lees story that he wrote for ah sahm properly

@@hez859 Yeah we thought about including Penny in the video but there's too many unknowns so far. Ah Sahm and Penelope had chemistry but ultimately I can't see Penny forgiving him for the hiding the opium in her factory. I think we see Penny try and get revenge on Buckley, but she's gotta get out of the institution first

as the often neglected mid kid jun jun is my fave character in this and iv'e only been reading the wiki and tv tropes for this

For sure! When we first brainstormed the idea for this video it surprised us (in a bad way) how little Warrior content there was. One of our goals is to get more quality content out and try to spread the word on this series

I know I already mentioned Joshua Norton, but having just re- watched S02 and the first three episodes of S03, there are enough oblique references to make Norton's very real historical presence in post gold-rush San Francisco, conspicuous only by his (so far) absence. Norton's ties to the Chinese community are well documented, but perhaps made more remarkable because in the 1850s, Norton lost his fortune in an ill advised venture to import rice to SF, where the Chinese were having difficulty getting enough rice to eat in an artificially generated shortage. In 1859, Norton proclaimed himself Emperor and formally abolished the US Congress, calling for the army to 'clear the halls' immediately. The boys at DC must have been busy that day though, because there was no response from the government at all (did I mention Norton was considered mad?) San Francisco took Norton's declaration with a pinch of salt, but the man's repute only grew as the widely reported account of how he single handedly stood before an angry mob, led by Kearney (Leary) en route to Chinatown, challenging Kearney personally, and telling the mob to go home.. .. . . (they didn't :-( ) The money printing storyline that is currently developing is interesting though, because right at that time, Joshua Norton WAS printing his own alternative currency to the dollar in SF. What's more, many of the restaurants and retailers were humouring this pennyless, crazy Emperor, and accepting his currency for trade. Norton's Bills are extremely sought after by collectors today, fetching upwards of $10k each. In 1872, Norton began issuing decrees and plans for the city, and declared that the official Organ of his Imperial Reign was the 'Pacific Appeal', the first completely black owned and run Newspaper in US history. Over 250 of his decrees were unironically published by them, throughout his Reign. His plans were sometimes nothing less than sensible, including a call for funding a suspension bridge, that went from Oakland to San Francisco. Radical idea, I know, but there is still a campaign to this day to rename the bridge in his honour. When he died in 1880, upwards of 10,000 people lined the streets for his funeral. Very many of whom were Chinese.

Really appreciate that! We started this channel earlier this year and our goal is just to keep getting better and pump out better stuff so I'm glad people enjoy it. And yes agree with all your points on making more content on the show. We're working on a video right now that I think a lot of Warrior fans will love. I'm a bit surprised by the lack of promotion as well. But to be fair they haven't really promoted True Detective Season 4 that much as well. We're just gonna keep trying to play our part by putting more content out

Resisty Started to look at this show, and I cannot stop watching it. It is an interesting show that is from the writing of Bruce Lee. I like the show because all the character has their own storyline. Also, dealing with cultural and racial issues of that time. I am happy The Max ( Former HBO Max) got the rights to get this show on their streaming service. This will be a hit show for the Max.

I'll call this right now. There's no way that 'Warrior' can play out without bringing Emperor Joshua Norton into the mix. He lived right there while all this was going on. In Kearney St no less. (Named for the character Leary was loosely based on) A great friend to the Chinese, he once stood alone in the street and persuaded a mob of at least 1000 people not to march on Chinatown and burn it to the ground. Norton isn't just one of the most remarkably overlooked historical characters from San Francisco's history, he's also one of the best examples of what it actually means to be an American. (Despite being technically English) The writing team would have to be crazy not to have at least a cameo appearance from America's only Emperor.

@@winterhillwarriors I will. I love how the show is a real homage to Bruce Lee's vision for ''Kung Fu'', but rather than pushing the show's heritage, they've let it stand on it's own merits. Phenomenal performances from a staggeringly talented cast and crew, and the writing is consistently driving all these nuanced characters at us all the time. And it's finishing sequences all showcasing Chinese and Asian Hip-Hop is a nice touch. I didn't even know that was a thing.

man I hope Li Yong and Ah Sahm have a rematch, Ah sahm wins, spares Li Yong and then they somehow end up on the same side, They would be a super cool duo

Yeah it was cool to see them team up briefly in Season 2 when they had to defend Chinatown. In Season 1 Ah Sahm didn't have the physical strength to really take down Li Yong (or the purpose behind his fighting). In Season 2 we see that Ah Sahm has gotten way stronger, and imo can beat Li Yong now. We're actually doing a video breaking down the season 1 fight between Ah Sahm vs. Li Yong so stay tuned for that this week

If Zing kills Mai Ling, he'll have Ah Sahm to worry about & Ah Sahm will kill Zing without hesitation.

One thing i have to say is that i felt bad for the mayor after really thinking about his story, he wasn't the worst person he was just trying to make the best of what he had really trying to keep the people together while being undermined by his right hand man and unknowingly drugged by his wife.. he never stood a chance

Yeah Blake overall wasn't very destructive to the city. For the most part the business owners liked him and he was pretty indifferent to coolie labor. Buckley was far more evil

I think in season 3 there will be a Ah Sahm and Li Yong team up. That they'll be stuck in a situation together, where they have to team up, in order to get out of it. During this team up Ah Sahm discovers a weakness in Li Yong. Maybe he sees Li Yong gets hit in a certain spot and it brings him down, but keeps that to himself. Afterwards the two part ways, having gain a new found respect for one and other. And afterwards another Mural is painted on a wall. This time it's Ah Sahm and Li Yong fighting back to back. Which will causes even more problems for the them between Mai Ling and Young Jun.
