theres nothing more satisfying than building your own engine and hearing it fire up for the first time and saving thousands of dollars. just did my very first hemi build and im so happy.

Have a 2005 Hemi sport quad cab 268 Comp Cam ported racing heads from Arlington Automotive and an oversized throttle body and dual exhaust and I can drift my quad cab around corners like I did my 87 IROC in high school

Great vids as always. You've made me a fan for sure lol. I have a 2017 ram 1500 hemi reg cab sport 4x4. Also 3.21 gears. I hear the front diff is welded shut and doing a front gear swap is a nightmare vs the minimal performance gain. What would you recommend for good mods? Higher stall? Cam seems like a good one but I'm iffy on it for the price and install versus gains. Long tube headers or mid length? All I've done on past vehicles was intake, exhaust, shorty headers, and a canned tune. Recommendations? Advice?

Love the vid. That stall is really somthin. Just got the Vararam intake, ported throttle body and long tubes on the 15. Hoping to see a big difference at the track compared to the stock time we ran. Havnt done a tune yet. Just have the 93 Diablo tune. Gunna try to get with Greene Racing sometime before the weekend.

Incredible Hemi I'm hoping so. I'll be changing gears out, changing thermostat, and getting a catch can soon as well. Cam and heads this winter. Hoping to get a good set of rims and tires before summers over. Would love to get a stall now that I seen yours.

Cam is always good. All you needed to do was put 392 gears. I have no issues pulling a loaded 27 foot travel trailer. I've been all over Az, coast of California north and south, Nevada, Texas, Lake Tahoe, Louisiana with an average of 8 miles a gallon lol. I tell everyone with a 5.7 ,392 gear are the best of both worlds you can pull a mountain and when not pulling you get decent gas mileage.

Not sure you can compare installing a cam to forced induction. It’s not even close as far as power adders go or total price installed. Having said that, your truck is badass. Sounds awesome!!

Brandon Esplen from what I'm hearing ported heads are not worth the price for gains n not too many Rams are running ported intake manifolds to see real gains so b4 I even decide if I would do either I would need proof of gains

If you upgrade the cam can your truck pass the emission

You can turn off MDS/Eco mode by pressing the tow button. No need to delete and nice if it's just one person cruising to work.

I have a greene racing .5hlv2 camshaft I'm not 100% sure on specs there on Greene Racing facebook site n yes will definitely fit in 2014 Charger R/T

Should’ve used my chop video lol, also maybe mention why the 4 cyl mode is bad, “lifters” and how they are junk and could end up costing someone a cam anyways in the long run..

Levido Shell the stock MDS lifters, are heavy, and cheap. They start to collapse, and also they will seize. Once that happens, wipes out a lobe on the camshaft. Comes up as a cylinder misfire. Look it up it’s actually pretty damn common.

Tristan Beaudry I’m having the cylinder misfire I’ve changed all plugs and coil packs I checked the fuel injectors and I can across a video of a challenger hemi owner said he had the same problem. And the problem ended up being seized lifters messed up the cam too. I’m gonna have to do this any pointers?

@@tristanbeaudry5232 yoooooo lmao that's exactly what happened to me, lifter started failing which wore down the lobe in the camshaft, made a nasty misfire, easily was out $2500 for a new one smh

Hey bud want to start off by saying great and very helpful videos. I just recently bought my first Hemi powered ram I have always driven ford and so far I’m very pleased with the stock performance but wanting to kick it up a notch. I wanted to ask about a cold air intake Im considering the Mopar so to make the ram air hood functional but it doesn’t appear to have very good performance gains for the price and was wondering if you had any better recommendations thank you in advance.

It is , depending on the cam put your stock lifters will eventually go with an aftermarket cam , I lost no mpg with my cam n mds delete it's useless
