What do you expect made in China, I mean America. Lol Just goes to show, is not about where it's made. It's about how well it's made. It's the CEO and bean counters that determine how much they want to invest into a product. And if not for patriotism and dumb address buying that junk, GMC, Chrysler et all would've folded long ago. Government ball out or not. You'll see these cars sold to the USA armed forces at a great discount hence you'll see them on bases

I'm surprised you didn't mention the Honda Accord. A while ago, I got an 01 Accord Coupe from my neighbor (with just 75K miles) for free b/c it sat for many years in his backyard without being used and it would've cost him THOUSANDS to fix it and get it registered. But, I fixed it up myself for about $500-$600 and even though it's now 19 years old, that car still runs like a clock. Best $600 I ever spent! 😁

A mechanic that will talk about repairs and give explanations for the repair, is in my book somebody I'd rather deal with than someone who tries to mystify and play on mystique of owning a vehicle. it is amazing how his tone of voice and intonation stay the same although he changes the scene with different cars. There is no ermms and anything... I could never do this as seamlessly as he does...

Okay, Scotty. I'm coming to you for advice and providing the facts. I'm approaching my 70th birthday and been without a car since December 2019. My '97 Saturn ran like a top. Totaled. I've got 1700.00. Need to pay cash. Looking for a 4 cylinder w/ good condition and appearance worth no embassesment. I'm looking to you for sound advise. Should I go to my mechanic who is very trustworthy or shop individuals looking to sell. I trust you to be my guru and advise what makes/models and whom to look for that's not just trying to unload a problem needing repairs that I can't afford. Please lend me mentioned needs with your wisdom and exper expertise. Much gratitude and thankfulness.

LOVE Crown Vic/Marquis. They are great cars. My 1999 Grand Marquis is still doing great at 180,000+ miles plus (Knock on Wood).

Hi Scotty!! Still have my 2010 Camry from the last recession, I also have a 2009 Lexus RX350 like the one you did a video on, a 2007 Avalon with 200,000 miles that needed a new AC compressor, and my 2010 FJ Cruiser... All Toyota, and all running good without breaking my wallet... thanks for your advice...

This is helpful. Thanks Scotty. My problem is that I'm 7 feet tall and have 240 extra pounds I didn't have when I was in college. So, the Crown Vic sounds like my choice, though I'd rather have a Camry with its longevity record. I'd have to adjust my driver's seat back to fit. I did that for my 92 Cadillac Deville but I'm having more car repairs than the car's worth.
