i started to taking collagen supplement, i am currently on my keto weight loss journey. I take a lot of supplements but this one even though i am pretty young i can see it has very positive effect on my skin&nails even though i take it for only 2 weeks for now. I am taking it with some other precautions mainly for 2 things: to try reduce loose skin effect during my reduction to a minimum and to improve my bone and tendons strength for weightlifitng workouts.

I am hoping to see good results in my skin elasticity and firmness and hopefully it will help tighten my skin after the good fat loss i am experiencing from my intermittent fasting. Collagen should be taken with vitamin C for absorption. Also, I've been building muscle into my late 50s.... slowly, but still building.

I started taking Flavoured Collagen powder (Sproos brand) and it has hyaluronic acid (5mg) in it. My skin is smoother/keeping hydrated batter and nails are definitely less brittle. I think my hair is more hydrated too. I’ve only been doing it for 2 weeks but I think it’s helping. I read that getting hyaluronic acid as a supplement helps, also with joint health along with collagen. My knees used to hurt a bit but not anymore!

I recently turned 50 and have fewer wrinkles than when I retired from the Navy at 38. I am not clean keto/paleo either maybe 80 percent. I don't use collagen supplements either, it all comes from eating the complete meat. I eat bones dry. =)
