Just a question. You suggest playing tag poker. You show a list of hands to play You also suggest playing 15 % of the time, which would avg. Out 1.5 hands out of ten Maybe it's just me but I have had runs of rags 20, 30, plus hands in a row. What would be the solution to this sincerly
Back playing poker recently like 6 months ago. Was really good about 10 years ago. Won 2 of my first live tournaments . Medium money events. Struggled since then up to this week. Watch about 50 hours of your videos. Now Im making moves and folds like a good poker player should. I finding myself in a lot less races in which I'm favourite but unlucky in. Also in tournaments if your aggressive enough you can make a stack that can take a loss

Same. But I'm learning, not playing for money ofc.
LOL "Sometimes they will just call you down with King high for no reason at all" 😅 I remember these ones for table selection. I like in 3) how you distinguish between decent players and rec players in the same example as to how you would play it differently. Thank you as always for your help!

On point 2, abuse the button to it's fullest extent, but know what that fukl extent is. The button is powerful but it can't change your cards.
Solid advice.
Finally another vid I watch them all
Thank you for all these videos. I started playing poker online poker for the first time, but started playing again after years and used your videos as a refresher course but legitimately 100% of the time your strategy has always worked and the only time I lose is when I’ve tried to deviate from it.!!!

5:22 99 and J10 will most definitely call turn, 99 improves to open ended and j10 is top pair with a gutshot... why should these hands fold turn? I'd love to hear an explanation? Thanks
I am so happy that you address the fishes that would just call anything. It's almost like usual poker strategy doesn't work against them. I am a noob myself, so I started learning about pre-flop betting strategies. I was supposed to either fold or bet heavily pre-flop, so that other players would fold. But then I ended up at a table where people would just limp and call anything pre-flop, literally thinking that folding pre-flop makes no sense. And if there are 6 players at the table, one of them will always hit more on the flop then me and then I regretted betting pre-flop ;__;
Used a strategy of playing about 30% of my hands ... very picky and had success. I played against 2 fish and limper who would fold on any bet post flop....hard to attack his pot...had to grind it down ...but stayed patient
Had this happen with the fish I gotta get better at my post flop game.
Nathan says that it’s the “BAWtem line” to raise many hands on the button preflop. 🤗
I TRULY APPRECIATE this!!! Learned a lot and 4, 2 and 1 are very helpful for me!!!! THANKS!

whenever blackrain drops a new video, i swear everyone online starts trying to play like the video
gonna try this on monopoly poker
Would you fold if you have an a7 opened ended. Fish or no fish?
Previously you’ve talked about not slow rolling feel like this kind’ve contradicts that?
Good tips, but the tip on raising preflop from the button begs the question....How much do you defend to a 3 bet from the blinds? These are inevitable, considering most players know the button is opening wider, so when to defend your raise seems a super important part of this "tip".
One thing I don't see discussed enough in videos like this*, but it is always important, and that is what Professor Rosa says in the movie 21. "Always account for variable change." In this situation, you need to be the one learning from the table faster than the other players, but don't forget that the other players are probably learning as well. As in, a fish may not stay a fish if they learn how other people play and have success. Just because someone is a TAG at the beginning of the game doesn't mean they may not loosen up if that's what the game requires. (*) I know these videos are designed to teach basic stuff, but I would hate for someone to try basic stuff and it doesn't work because other players adjust faster.
Former Fish here. Appreciate the advice, I am going to graduate to a beginner now.

How'd it go?
I keep putting my e-mail in to get your cheat sheet but don't get the confirmation e-mail
Now I know I'm a fish (never heard that before). I go to the casino with $200 to play poker and chit chat with the table. If I see the table is super deep 800-900, I'll just leave. I'm not going to have fun, guys are going to be betting $40 before the flop on a 1-3 game. It is good to have a better understanding of how to play poker and play a hand appropriately. But I'm just here to have a good time, I'm not worried about the money. But it's nice to win something every now and then. Thanks for the information.
I was down to $95 in a $500 limit. Last hand for me, win or lose. I'm dealt 4 2 off. I go all in. 3 callers. Flop comes 4 2 2. Full house. They each raised. Turn and river are bricks. I win the hand and broke even. They were PISSED that I went all in with 4 2 off. Point here is I am allowed to play whatever fucking cards I want. They weren't forced to call OR raise each other. Lesson learned for them.
Which channel is best for online poker gamer wanna be?
5. Don't force it. Learn to fold 4. Abuse the button position. 3. Stop Go strategy 2. Punish the limpers. Play 7xBB 1. Three streets of value vs fish
I always fold on the button🐟
I always laugh about the idea that to make money playing poker you need to play against and take advantage of bad players. It’s true of course i just find it hilarious lol
you would be surprised how many people will call min bets down to the end just to find out that you got the high card ace.
Sounds like some of the players in my poker league
in the strategies 1 .. What if they have an A.. something.. ?.. they call al the time and we lose a lot of money..
