Have bought numerous Mora's, some I give as gifts, some I have lost, and I will never be without a Mora or two. The 511 and the Robust are both under $20 USD. Kind of the same functionally but robust is thicker steel, not that it matters too much. The 511 is just fine and great.

The Victorinox sd is great but it has one major flaw when you open and close the main blade it's right next to the file so you scratch the bejesus out of your blade.

My moras work great on the dock! I named one of em "Tetanus," since it's rusty and dirty from old bait. Sharp as hell and does the job perfectly. I've definitely gotten my money's worth. Another good cheap knife is the Opinel, no 12 is about $27, so I'd imagine the smaller versions might be under 20.

Mora, is always a good option

The mora is a good knife. The others you couldn't give me.

They're all amazing, it just depends. If I'm camping and NOT at the campsite I 110% want the Mora. If I'm AT the campsite, I ONLY want the SD.

You should I bought one on amazon for my dad for Christmas and straight out of the box it will shave hair off you arm. I recommend it.

I have the karambit. It’s a nice neck knife and holds a keen edge. The downside is if you have large hands. It fits my slimmer hands nicely.

The mora is sooo badass!!! Wicked strong.. I've seen a Toyota tundra drive over the handle, twice.. on the road and in a rocky driveway, not even a damn scratch...

That crkt holds an edge really nice, and may be the sharpest knife I’ve got at the moment

58 mm SAKs are cute, but if you need more power, for 16€ you can have the 91mm Waiter, big blade/combo tool/corkscrew plus toothpick and tweezers. For 24€, you can get either Spartan (plus reamer and small blade and caplifter and canopener) or Sportsman (nailfile instead of small blade) or Tinker (Philips screwdriver instead of corkscrew). Sturdier aluminium (Alox) Bantam is 25€ (just combo tool and big blade), but the first one-hand opening knife with the clip is 111mm Sentinel One Hand Clip at 31€. That's it. If you go "higher", you'll get more, but the weight and width will be more significant. My favourites are Huntsman, Explorer and Handyman, currently using Explorer (inline Philips and magnyfing glass). (combo tool is can opener, caplifter and flat screwdriver in one tool)

The Explorer is my all time favorite SAK. The magnifier has turned out to be the most-used tool for me. Additionally, although the knife has a lot of tools, it is just barely thin enough to be comfortable in my pocket.

Who needs a fancy knife anyway. 'grabs kitchen knife'

Are they considered like shit knifes? 💀 i’ve been carrying one for years but barely getting into the whole EDC stuff. Dont think i’ve ever seen a S&W knife on these vids

S&W is just a name stamped on a generic knife made in china thats probably stamped with a dozen other brand names and distributed to gas stations, autozones, and walmarts. theyre good throw away, expendable, or disposable blades if you need to trash something and dont want to trash your good stuff.

Karambit and self-defense do not belong together unless you are specifically trained in using the knife I think you're better off with normal one edged blade. Scew it what do I know I'm just a dumb internet commenter lol

I would be 100x more intimidated by a karambit than a gun. You look at those knives and you can already see your guts LITERALLY spilling out to the floor. I don't even have them, they're just evil.

I'll be surprised if anyone in this comment section who carries a knife for what they call self defence has ever actually trained using the knife. I can guarantee you havent
