explanation for why the sides of the can don't weaken when the top does: the top and sides are 2 separate pieces of aluminum, they're folded together but there's probably still a layer of oxidation between the folds :)

I just saw this vid in my recommendation then i was planning not to finish this video, and not noticing that i almost finished the vid then subbed lol.

The plastic coating inside the can is to stop the acid eating the aluminium like the drain cleaner does. Aluminium corrodes really easily so even the low acid levels in canned beverages is enough to eat through them.

I’m having unblock my drains with Coke as I drank all the drain cleaner..

I can just imagine this guy seeing aluminum in the dark and saying "your turn"

It is disintegrating the outer aluminum and that colourless layer is plastic.

That gallium thing would be a pretty cool trick like empty the can and then use the gallium to make it weak and then crush it in front of your friends or something.
